I already backed it, but those patches for the first tier are brutal. People are spending hard earned money in a bad economy and for the first tier we get patches? Whose idea was that? It looks cheap, like the Jam of the month club instead of a bonus in Christmas Vacation. Still, that rattler looks amazing! And the included stand is great. So, take my money :)

The pilot needs a parachute accessory. I don't remember watching one episode where one of these were shot down and a Cobra soldier didn't jump out with a parachute.
That was the liberals crying about the cartoon pilots dying😂… to have those problems again…😅
They weren't allowed to show people dying in kid's cartoons in the 80s on tv. They had to make sure everyone survived. That's why no one got shot, and everyone ejected safely, even from helicopters.
I miss voice actor: Chris Latta ! The late Chris Latta, was the original voice actor, for the Cobra Commander character, In the original G.I.Joe cartoon from the 1980's !

Tier one should have been a generic ground crew trooper. Reuse a cobra trooper, recolor it and throw a helmet in, not to hard! Instead, patches.
MAYBE 4 tiers
1: a not too big fueling tank or missile transport rack, maybe both since it's pretty basic forms.
2: Your ground trooper to man those things.
3: The gunner.
4: Baroness

Hasbro should do a Classified sized GI Joe Conquest next. It's length and body size is similar to the Rattler's. Not to mention if both Classified sized rattler and conquest are made, Hasbro can milk the cow again, and recolor both into Tiger Force and Python Patrol for the Classified series.

Tier 1 is useless, if they made that tier 3 would have mede more sense instead of trying to use extra figures to raise sales. Without those extra figures it's too expensive for what it is.

Cobra ground crew like the skystriker haslab would be nice. Very impressed by this items features. More than the dragonfly, it really captures the imagination of air combat fantasy. The patches seem like a weak first tier. But it kind of shows how confident they are orders are going to break through that tier quickly.
So are crappy tier 1s gonna be a thing moving forward as long as we keep getting enticed by the later tiers?

I don’t collect GI but I have back marvel and TVC Star Wars Haslab. This looks cool I had the 1984 one when I was kid and did collect Joe in the 80’s. Hope it funds. Good luck and backing is half the battle 😉

Hasbro should make a 1:18 scale version of this new model of the Rattler as well. It shouldn't be too hard to just scale it down some, then sell that too.. hit up the fans at both fronts! The ones that love Classified and the ones that still love the 1:18scale and probably backed the 1:18th scale Haslab Skystriker and would like a new Rattler to go with it. Seems win/win to me...
That Skystriker Haslab had a lot of help to fund. I don't think Hasbro will do anymore O-Ring Haslabs, but it never hurts to ask.

i would have probably tried to get 5+ haslab skystrikers if they were priced at $100-150 each. Which i think is very fair for 1:18 scale.
I honestly don't think they will, but if they sell a 3pack of 1:18 scale rattlers (they dont need lights), for the cost of one of those classified ones.. they will make tons of 1:18 scale fans happy.. and I still think people would by multiples, who wouldn't have wanted a fleet of Rattlers?

I feel like the loadout of bombs and missiles could have been more... I mean, we could have gotten a second 3 prong rack with "hellfire" style missiles on it instead of the 3 bombs- to change up the diversty or mission. Maybe got a second set of the long missiles and the regular bombs?
I love it, but I don't know about the front half of the canopy. Having to remove it to get to the pilot and cockpit seems like it would be prone to breaking.

I hope they will announce some new tiers once backers exceed 18,000. We saw them do some pivots with the Dragonfly, so hopefully they will take some feedback to heart here as well.
This IS cool. Always wanted the Cobra Rattler as a kid. I either had the moola but couldn't find the toy, or I saw the toy but didn't have the money. I hope the thing isn't ridiculously big, I only have so much room in my apartment. I also hope you have battle damage panels like the original Rattler, I always thought that was a nice touch.

Patches really? Hasbro keeps treating Haslab projects like they are a retail sale. We, the consumer, instead of being treated like the retailer pre-buying 15-20k+ of their product we are still being treated like the customer who walks into a retail store to buy an item- we are charged the retail price (or higher- and I am ok with this as a collector) instead of the wholesale price (which, I am not advocating for), we are not given all the incentives (stretch goals) even if we are just a few hundred away or we are given the least attractive and cheapest SG or item that was already designated to be released in a nother formate or paint scheme (looking at you, box of bones and a cardboard back drop, Scarlett-I mean Glenda and Greedo)
I am still bummed that we didn't get Ketchup and Mustard grounds crew for the Skystriker- the most disirable figures are the final teir- a teir we might not make. Ketchup and Mustard's molds where made as they used the same body as RIO and Cobra grounds crew member just a new head. I am sure the Rattler will surpass 20k so no need to worry about getting the Baroness but Hasbro you need 14k to be the minimum to get all SGs so, we the fans who support you get all that is shown- I know I will stop supporting you on over priced toys if this trend of unrealistic goals of 18k for the most disirable SG continues.
Please go back to sleep while we here at Hasbro take your 50 bucks just to place an order that will be late and be happy with your little patches.

The reason the price is like this is because too many content creators are speculating paying higher prices. And then the f followers are influenced to say that they are willing to pay this much. Too many people are saying they're willing to pay 3 to $400 for theses toys. And you know that Hasbro's watching. So they price these things accordingly.
That's what is nice about owning the license. Hasbro owns GI Joe and Transformers so those Haslabs are gonna be a lot cheaper than Marvel and Star Wars ones. No Disney/Marvel/Lucasfilm taxes surcharges and fees.

I can see crobra forces pinned down. Then the cobra rattler swoops down on a beach offering suppressive fire.. Scrap-Iron in a Pogo, emerges from the water trailed by a couple od cobra Bugs, a followed by a Swarm Televipers in trouble boubles and Cobra BATs matching up on the beach.
Truly Great Design and a very cool video. Im so happy for all of the Classified Series collectors.
Of course, being an o-ring size collector I am jealous.

I haven't seen any rumors about HasLab exclusive figures making it into the main line releases. As it stands Wild Bill and Wild Weasel aren't available to collectors who didn't back the HasLabs.
@@joshmorales770 There have been two so far that I know of. One was Yak Face from the Barge, released last year, and the other is Daimon Hellstrom (from the failed Ghost Rider Haslab), released this year.

Not impressed with the patches. I like the Tier 2 Cobra Gunner. How many variations of the Baroness is there already? This will be the 4th version? I think that Stratto-Viper Raven or a Ground Crew Cobra would be better Tier 1 offerings.

The patches should have been included with the rattler and not taken up one of the tiers. What are the cobra rattler specifications other than aircraft dimensions and armament? How fast is it and combat range? I would imagine it's similar to A-10 specifications and used mainly for ground support? It wouldn't really go up against a skystriker(f-14)...right?

For the next G.I.Joe Haslab, I would like just the vehicle. No figures that include the driver/pilot. I want the lowest price point possible. For the tiers, I would like a handful of mini-tiers. Instead of figures, we get items with the vehicle, like blast effects, unit patches, loaders, etc. Small items for every 1000 units sold. As for the figures. I still want those but as added money tiers and at a discounted price. For example, the Haslab is the Snowcat. You back the Snowcat, and you can add the figure Frostbite at $10. Then, Hasbro can still release the figure at the retail price for those who don't want to back the HasLab. If the project minimum is 9000 units, Hasbro wants 180000 units sold (increased profit). Then, there is a cherry Delux item at the very end, like a figure two-pack or a Delux repainted figure.
Example GI Joe Haslab - Classified GI Joe Snowcat
Base offer - Snowcat with updates and lights 8000 units cost $250
9000 units tier-unit patch
10000 units tier - missile blast effects
11000 units tier - different weapons, ex. change the missile rack for lasers
12000 units tier - different weapons, ex. missile rack for quad Gatlin guns
13000 units tier - blast effects for the different weapon add-ons
14000 units tier- winter pac-rat figure: maybe a drone

I think the whole gunner seat should rotate. Otherwise this is a very cool Haslab. Or at least have the gunner seat face backwards. Still cool.
Also, it would be great if the baroness figure came with other female head sculpts. The patches are okay. They look good but that only leaves 3 figures and 2 of them are named characters. It is hard to buy more than two knowing that. With more heads I can create more characters. Short hair Long hair Blonde Redhead Asian White Black Indian.
