I wanted to give you a heartfelt note of appreciation. I follow several UA-cam instructors and you are one of my favorites. You bring me much enjoyment with your lessons. I was shocked to learn of Cinnamon Cooney's passing yesterday. She is a wonderful teacher and will be terribly missed. Tell someone how special they are before they are gone. Cinnamon was very young.
@@DianeAntoneStudio I read that they think it was a heart attack. John and the EMS tried to resuscitate her but unsuccessfully. There were so many things I liked about Cinnamon and had been concerned for many months because she had had some emotional problems. She publicly told about this. I’m not spreading gossip. The last I heard she was doing much better. We never know what the next minute holds for us, Diane, do we? Our world can change on a dime. Take care, Diane. 🙏🏻💔
Thanks Vikki, how dreadful. It’s happening so much. I have a nephew aged 33 who is on life support and unlikely to survive after collapsing suddenly last week. Worrying times.
Your voice and your easy going style are so soothing to me. I could listen to you all day and feel so serene! I love your artistic interpretation and your explanation of your art. Thank you from an older (past 70) beginner. 🙏💕
Oh Diane you are so lovely to say such things about me and my tutorials. I remember your kind message of encouragement on one of my early videos. I have been struggling a bit to find the time to film and edit every week but am blown away with gratitude when I hear that someone like you could learn something from me so THANK YOU. Your kindness has given me extra motivation to keep it going. Thanks again and I wish you the most wonderful Christmas and a very Prosperous 2025!
Absolutely my pleasure Leisa, and thank you very much for responding to my mention. I really like the gentle way you present your content, and hope that your channel continues to grow and that you find it rewarding. Sending you wishes for lots of Christmas joy and a healthy (and prosperous!) new year!
We’ve always made gifts for our family at Christmas. Painting is a fairly new thing for me, but I’ve always done needlework, knitting, crochet, beadwork…it took time and thought through the year. Not that we don’t buy things, of course. 😊 I really appreciate seeing the things you come up with because it gives me ideas on what to do for cards, gift tags or even a framed multimedia project with some kind of blobby bird! I watch lots of other UA-camrs and I plan on checking out the channels you’ve suggested. Your channel is different from most because it’s like the old quilter circles except with watercolor! It’s more like visiting an old friend. ❤
Thanks so much for your kind words - much appreciated. I enjoy the way people take my ideas and improve and adapt them, it’s always fun to see what people make when they post on Facebook or Patreon! Wishing you a merry Christmas and a happy and healthy new year!!
Thank you for all your wonderful workshops Diane - and Leisa O’Brien has a lovely way of teaching too, thanks for the recommendation. You have provided me with so many hours of amazing instruction and company through the year. You are such a blessing to all of us who follow you! :))❤
I like these tags a lot too! The first 3 were delightful and these are too! Thank you for sharing them. (I know what you mean about Christmas these days. It's very different. Like you said, as kids we waited for Christmas to get things we wanted. When we asked for something, I can still hear my Mom's answer "We don't have any extra money for that but you could put it on your Christmas list.") ❤❤🎄
Hi Michele and thanks so much for your lovely comment! I can still remember the feeling of waking up on Christmas Day with the weight of my stuffed Christmas pillowcase (instead of a stocking!) on my feet at the bottom of my bed! Such excitement!
Diane, these are all beautiful! I'm just about finished painting my holiday cards. It's been a very rewarding process, but on one particular day I felt overwhelmed with concern wondering how I would get them all finished since each card takes me about 30 minutes from start to finish. Then I realized my worry was taking the joy out of painting them, so I reframed my thinking and didn't worry about my original expectation of completing them by a certain date, and just painted with joy. As soon as I looked at it that way, I was able to joyfully paint for hours and time flew by. Yesterday I popped out another 9 cards. Thank you for the peace and relaxation you deliver to us in your lovely videos.
Congratulations Carolyn! That must have been a marathon! I’m so glad you and your mom are still enjoying our videos!! Sending you warm seasonal wishes xxx
These are great Diane! I used tape and made a triangle and used watercolor to paint in the middle.. added a little gold and a star and Bob's your Uncle i had a Christmas tree... Must have made a dozen or more.. super easy and fun... I'm pretty sure i got the idea from you! Thank you!!! Hugs! deb
Great that you name other artists. I find many so interesting, even if the style is not to my liking, I appreciate the work they’ve put in their works. And, Lidl & Aldi I saw in USA. And, I like Ann Brockley. Thanks.
Oh too funny to me any way- you said this is an “ old” film case, true most don’t use film, yet I clear as day recall that very film came in a metal case lol pre plastic days… now that is old lol fun how we all say old and it can represent very different time frame… Carry on- did not mean to interrupt you 🥰🎨
People get followers not just because of their low, medium or high skill level. It's also for me anyway, about personality, style of painting, communication type etc.
I do my Christmas cards in late January - February now; otherwise they don't get done. I think that envelopes are a needless expense if you are going to be handing them out at a group Christmas party. Instead, I leave the outside blank and tie the card as if it is a present. This year, I did 4 hand-painted designs, had them printed out on laser paper and signed them with my name and the meaning of the designs. I should have had new printer cartridges put in. Instead I took the designs to Staples and will not do that again, ever. I don't know why, but the saturated watercolor painted images on really good paper and the results were faded out. For next year, I will print the cards myself onto Geo paper and use this as an insert inside card stock or construction paper instead,, tacking it in with a glue stick.
I think instead of saying they are “better” than you (because that’s subjective) you just say they have different skills than you. You can increase your skill set or knowledge when engaging in their content!!
I try and watch every video 📹 you put out except for the 4 hour ones I just can't do those. It's a shame about your grandchildren. A good parent wouldn't complain they would say thank you and try and settle any arguments between his children 😉?? Oh boy! I can't believe he said that to you. ❤😢. Merry Christmas 🎅 🎄 ❤️ I'm going to go to my daughter's house so won't be on UA-cam much until the new year.
Yes, that’s what I sadly thought about the children. They lose out because my son and his wife are antisocial within the family. Sad, but nothing I can do, it’s a genetic trait it seems! Wishing you a joyful Christmas and a healthy new year and looking forward to seeing you after the holidays are over!

Does anyone know what happened? A very sad and sudden loss 😢

I started watching Wendy a couple of weeks ago - really like her style too.
I love the sound of you scissors and your videos
Thanks!!!
A fun, festive video. Enjoyed very much. Thank you.
Glad you enjoyed it! Merry Christmas and a happy new year!

Diane you are amazing ~ thank you for making me laugh tonight! It's been a stressful week! Your gift tags turned out beautifully!
Much love ❤✝️🙏🏻
You are so welcome!! So glad you feel a bit better!
Thanks again. So much fun. Also, thanks for recommending the other websites. I will check them out. Happy Holidays!
Happy holidays to you too, and thanks for your kind words Barbra!
Thank you for all your wonderful recommendations!
You are so welcome! Merry Christmas!
@@DianeAntoneStudio, Merry Christmas to you and Tamsin too! ❤️🙏
Pop some grains of rice in with the salt to soak up the damp. 😀
"Jumper." You're adorable. 🥰
Thank you Mary! Merry Christmas !!

Yes, I remember the metal cans too!! Now you come to mention it!
My mom, who lives in Hungary, loves Little.
Please wish your mother a Merry Christmas and a happy and healthy New Year from me!

Thank you! Maybe use a few bits of rice in your container?
Great idea! I’d forgotten that technique, thanks!

Yes of course that’s true. But at the same time some people get more views even though they might not have those skills.
@@DianeAntoneStudio well they must have something.
Could you share the Michael Harding colors you are using, particularly the dark green?
Yes I can: Most of my colors are in this set amzn.to/3ZBQQ0i and this one: amzn.to/3VACTPc and the dark green is Perylene Green. Hope this helps!

That must have been very disappointing, Sharon. Could you not have asked them to do them again properly?
Upps question please- not sure how to spell and is if found on Amazon, I am in America 😊 your gold pen? You think better , slicke ??? Thanks
Yes it is on Amazon in the US, it’s spelt SLICCI and here is a link amzn.to/4eTXtSD
Finding people better than me won’t be hard😢
There are some phenomenal artists out there, like Mary Whyte, who makes me feel quite insubstantial. But there’s room for us all on this planet.
I think instead of saying they are “better” than you (because that’s subjective) you just say they have different skills than you. You can increase your skill set or knowledge when engaging in their content!!
Yes, that’s right, they have different skills from me. I always think of myself as a perpetual learner.

Tell your son "Try parenting" instead of blaming you. Really!!
Yes, you’re right, Gloria. I’m afraid parenting was not on his agenda. Slightly too much use of the smart phone I think.
