Todd Fisher has a right to write a book about himself, his sister & mother (& make money from it - as did his mother & sister on their books). Carrie’s brother, Debbie’s son - his family and life to discuss…just as much as Billie could talk about her relationship with these people. I feel sorry for Todd…he was close to Carrie & his mother - and now his closest relative, closest to those same people has chosen to demonise him & cast him out on his own. Maybe it’s grief that’s led her to this…I hope she finds her way back to him (he’s would clearly be receptive to that) - honouring what her mother and grandmother would want.

This interview says it all, read the book before you comments. Debbie’s only son, Carrie’s only brother, Debbie wrote 3 books, I’ve read them , Todd’s book is terrific. That family had a very interesting life, Debbie’s story with Todd at her side. What about the Bright Lights documentary that Carrie initiated a year before they died. I think Billie is being vindictive here to her Uncle and Aunts.

I truly do hope that they can reconcile with each other in the future. Neither Carrie nor Debbie would have wanted this rift between family members to happen. They would have wanted to stay together through thick and thin. I know family problems are hard to deal and it is not our business to be involved with this, but given the circumstances of this situation it does feel kind of hurtful that this had to happen.

I like Todd Fisher. He seems like a genuinely nice guy. He’s a great keeper of memories. The family historian, so to speak. He’s a great writer and storyteller. (So was Carrie and so is Billie.) He’s a steadfast cheerleader for his mom and sister. And, yes, he has a right to tell his story, and to grieve in his own way… but he’s pretty much proving her point by continuing to give these interviews. We also don’t know all the intricacies of the family dynamics and how this could have shaped Billie’s perception of what it means to be a part of this extended family. Blended families are tough enough without adding the celebrity factor to it. My heart goes out to all of them. Hopefully it will be resolved… out of the press.

You have a right to mourn your mother Todd and the right to write a book about your life with your family. You and your sisters were forced to respond to the non invite. She could have invited all of you and had you just sit there. She controlled that situation and we would know nothing about this. Nobody had any idea til now that there was this rift. She got married you folks weren’t invited and had kids you didn’t say a word. Sounds to me like you handled all of this with grace and dignity.

Remember when Carrie once said to that "contemptible pig", Jake Blues...
"You betrayed me! So, for me... For my mother, my grandmother, my father, my uncle, and for the common good... I must now kill you and your brother."
Let's hope that this movie dialogue doesn't extend to Billie's feelings about Joely, Tricia, and Todd!
All joking aside, I will get back to that point later... But first...
I had the good fortune of being able to attend the Carrie Fisher Tribute at Star Wars Celebration's
40th Anniversary panel in Orlando in 2017, where George Lucas and Billie Lourd gave very moving
and touching speeches, and John Williams performed Princess Leia's theme with the Orlando Philharmonic... I also attended Mark Hamill's panel as well, where he spoke fondly about Carrie...
Both were very moving events... There wasn't a dry eye in the house... I will never forget it...
Watching the Walk of Fame ceremony bought back all of those bitter-sweet memories...
That event was just as touching!
It's about time that this Star Wars" Star" got a Hollywood Walk of Fame "Star"...
    Well deserved!
I also had the good fortune to see Carrie on stage at SW Celebration in 2012... She was HILARIOUS!
One of the happiest moments of my life as a Star Wars fan...
We miss you, Carrie... I'd jump into a trash compactor with you anytime...
You have been my Princess since 1977... You will be our Princess forever...
May the Force be with you... Always.
Now please be a good "Force Ghost", find a log, and have a good "sit-down chat" with your daughter!
I don't know who's right and who's wrong... but it's time to heal these old wounds...
I don't think that Carrie or Debbie would have wanted this... And besides... It's not the Jedi way!

I've watched Billie and I've seen her be a little aloof, private, standoffish if you will since Carrie's death,as a fan I felt that Todd has been more welcoming and approachable when it comes to Carrie which is endearing.lets not forget there wasn't much held back in Carrie's life including her mental health struggles, addiction, waking up to a friends dead body, her husband being gay etc...she was open, honest and nothing was off the table,so I find her daughter's reasoning to be squed somewhat, her mother was more than just a star wars character (the only promotion Billie makes concerning her mother) and Todd respects his sister and they were close.

They are not actors. How else would they be able to reach their niece if she has cut them off. I don’t think this is what her mom would’ve wanted. I think it’s a question of pride and stubbornness on Billie’s part. This is how families fall apart needlessly. Let’s face it Carrie had some personal issues and her death was a tragedy. People are going to want to know things she was a Hollywood star after all. I see nothing wrong with her siblings wanting to share their stories. That’s their sister after all.
