I can remember my grandparents talking about how good turtles are. I want to trap them this summer myself but its hard to find places where the tourists aren't infesting the waters here in NY because you will have your traps stolen. I had a nice crawfish trap stolen this past summer.

I think he said he makes the traps, and that he wishes he put an access door at one end so he didn't have to reach in the entrance to grab the snapping turtles out!

The meat isn't that good really. If you are going to eat reptile, eat gator. The meat is lean and tasty.
