Bit more on cost including Copart fees & and ending including profit would be good 👍 Still gutted there was no ending to the spitfire..👍👍🙏🇬🇧 interesting all the same you definitely have the gift for getting a car running 👍
I don't envy you - I bought an intact, running one a few days ago and I'm in constant fear when driving it. It's not going to be cheap, but good luck, they are amazing cars to drive.
VCery cool car. Looking forward to see ghow you get on with the repairs. Cant wait for the next episode. Pick a panel and do the repairs, then on to the next panel. Crack on!

I know!! I'm very surprised no one has made and aftermarket set as they are so expensive! But then I guess there aren't that many of them about any more
There are aftermarket solution with LEDs. Check Eltech-Italia. I think they were 1400 euros per set, but not sure if they make RHD version. Fkin quick car on track, probably the quickest I haver ever owned. But hated driving it in town. Good luck with the build!
Oh and Delage speedster makes headlights as well, you can order housing, lens, etc separately or just buy a full set. Not sure on RHD as well, but check them out
Looking forward to this resurrection.. it’s far more left field tan the Elise and they look a fair bit cheaper. Hope you can secure the parts..is it worth trying other markets where these were sold (for non RHD/LHD specific) salvage parts? On the plus side it will have less cutting and welding😂
Thank you!! Luckily I've got almost all the bits now the only thing I'm struggling to source(pay for) are the headlights but they are the last thing to go in. True I think they made more Opel speedsters than vx220s might be a good idea to look for parts elsewhere in Europe! Hahah thank god!!
@@cashmachinecars it was a great car, I had it 4 years and wanted something that was better at skidding, easier to take around the country but still fun. So I got an MX5.

This should be a really good series to watch, looking forward to future VX220 episodes. Good luck with the rebuild!
Will be watching this one, remember when these came outv

Brave or foolish not sure which best of luck
Same, had one and had go sell. Still dream about going sideways and driving in the counrty and I wake-up and for a second I think I still have it ,😢
Excellent, such a cool car. I hope you get it fixed up.

Very enjoyable video, looking forward to the next one
Thanks Julian 👍
That will all buff out? Can’t wait for this build. If it goes well I think a track day needs to be done to celebrate.
Thanks Chris! Cant wait to take it on the track if it ever makes it 🤞
Great upload, would love a vx220 turbo, can't wait to see the way this ends up 👍👍

Thats a shame do you think you will ever get another one?
@@cashmachinecars ... I would love to have another one ...your going to be surprised how quick the Turbo is ! !
I hope you do get another one! Have a feeling they will be hard to get hold of one day! I've heard great things about the turbo! I can't wait

Nice purchase dude 👍 sad the Spitty is gone tho 🥺
Thanks. I know I was sad to see it go but I think in the long run I will enjoy driving this car a little bit more 👍
That front clam going to be £££. Best car I’ve ever owned.
It wasn't cheap!!! And it wasn't in great shape either!! 🤦 You'll see it in the next video

The lights you are screwed. You've got to go second hand. There aren't any aftermarket replacements either.
