45’s personal battle against planned obsolescence continues when his back throws up a 404 on his seasonal migration up north. Thankfully, Lianne’s got his back (literally) with some stretches for the long haul.

I just tried the exercises in this video and all of a sudden a GS appeared in my driveway, I've aged like 50 years and all my gear is now bright yellow. I have the sudden urge to find a puddle and call it offroading
😂 what about frequent pit stops?
Tbh ive never seen younger person riding a GS
Plenty of puddles in the Starbucks parking lot
I am in my 20s and really wanted a GS1250, but couldn’t put out the money for one so I ended up finding a deal on a VFR1200X instead. Us young GS simps might be rare, but we are out there, and a majority of them are probably admirers like me who want one but just can’t afford one. 100% old man at heart, LOL.
@@knighthrehor2000 Yep, that's me! 33 and wish I had a GS (Or Africa Twin), but like hell anyone my age can afford one right now!
There is a nice trick to make the cat-cow more efficient, you have to say « harder daddy » while doing it.
And "Pull my hair."
Wear harley gear while doing it.
And every once in a while a high pitched "yyyyeahh"
doggy style on all fours
Noooo. Strictly do that move in the privacy of your own home.
I hope you guys get him Chipped. It'll make it much easier to recover him when he gets lost out there like that.
Really worked wonders on finding our pets when they got out of their fence.
😅
Neutered, too.
😂😂
Man. The trainers you have for this series are fantastic. Real info, no fluff (from the trainer) and all wrapped into a well presented and entertaining video.
I watch these videos because it makes me feel comfortable, for some reason.
And the cinematography is always top notch.
Anish is back! 😊
Our first exercise is going to be called the reach-around
intestinal relaxation! always my first exercise or is that called meditation?
More useful when you're carrying a passenger.
😂😂
Physical therapy here! I can confirm the figure "4" stretch at the beginning is to stretch the piriformis muscle which is the #1 reason people get sciatic nerve pain, people who ride regularly are significantly more likely to develop sciatica so this is legit! Great job guys, out here doin the lord's work!
I'm 80 riding a Transalp 750, my exercises getting on the seat and riding when the temp is above 40, dry road with no salt. If I did these exercises it would take the fire department jaws of life to get me straightened out.
My father is almost your age and he has full flexibility and mobility in these muscles because he has been stretching for many years. This is why you start doing this stuff when you're younger and keep it up as you get older.
@@downhillupside Yep, make 'em part of daily life.
Start slow and light. The goal is to aim for the final pose while feeling the stretch. Not the actual pose. Consistency is key. Within a week, youll find that getting on the bike is no longer an excersize. You may not be able to get tho the final pose, but you will find that your daily activities ane not as difficult as they once were.
same here, I'm a bit younger but have too many old injuries to manage anything more than getting on or off.
let’s cheer for the production and video direction and writers and whoever else was involved. F9 continues to blow my mind with their creative artistic approach. and the exercises are great
Because of this channel I started loving bikes
im working to buy a bike currently cause of fortnite
@@kostaspapadimos7576 I wish you luck to buy it as fast as possible :). I am collecting money to get a bike licence (its a pain in the a** in my country)
@@alexsundeerWhich bike you preferer?
@@federicosamperi7336 to be honest i fell in love with every single bike they showed here. It felt like a documentary, full of emotion to ride, I dont need extra fast bike, i think i lean toward cruse/touring bikes. Or any smaller beautifull bike that isnt extra fast
@@kostaspapadimos7576Which bike are you thinking about?
FortNine is the only UA-cam channel whose videos I watch on normal speed.
ADHD
Same here, for years- until they drop generic filler videos about MTBs that feel like they come from a channel with a couple thousand subscribers. Not hating MTBs, just the weird drop in quality.
Bro got that tik tok brain special
You should really look at yourself
Just noticed it's the same for me 💀
I appreciate that 45 cares about us ❤
I know Ryan's video talks about armor sucking but this is a great example to at least carry the knee pads with you for stretching or working on your bike.
I've added in a square meter of construction Tyvec, so I keep a bit dry, and also find my tools
Just sit cross legged 😂
i thought the marshmallowy ghost provided the cushion ~jk, its best to tell any ghost to sod off
Thank you for these vids! I was hurt in Iraq and I still want to ride. Your videos help give good directions❤
Thank you for your service brother
Oh shit, 45's going rogue!
Do I have a motorcycle? No. Do I watch every F9 video? Yes.

Videos for 3 yrs before I finally got one.. I’m excited for you for when you do get one. It’s gonna be one of the best things in life.. good luck brotha…🤙🏼🤙🏼
Ryan, any news on model 46? It seems that 45 is getting a little overworked and is wearing out. 😄😂🤣
This raises the question of whether the clones can reproduce by themselves, or if they've had the snip. Or even if they have the necessary equipment.
For model 46 update he gets an Italian accent....
@@AshleyPomeroy🤔🤔🤔 we don't know. 🤷♂️ 😄😂🤣
VR46? Wow that would be an addition 😁
Ryan has no 45 left to clone. Which means for 45, he is home.
Honestly, I needed this reminder. Even though I don't have a motorcycle of my own, many of these are way better to do while sitting as a desk jockey or even after a day of presenting material to new audiences instead of spending break time sitting at a desk. I would hazard to say that many of these are needed for most of us, as we get stiff and mechanized, living so much of our lives in ADA compliant buildings, going up and down the same stairs at home, etc. etc. We rarely use our full range of motion, and so we can be trapped by our own stiffness, and inflexibility, staying in our reduced comfort zone, either due to preconceived notions and mental limitations, or a real regression in how we can move.
I'm sure these exercises are great for those 55 and under. But remember rule #1 if you're older than that. Never get down without a plan on getting back up.
no excuse to maintain some sort of fitness
If you're older than that (I am) you NEED to be doing mobility work a couple times a week AND strength training.
If you're under 80 and need a plan to get back up, your life has ruined your body. Wow.
The cat-cow segment!! 🤣😂🤣😂
It's the bladder empty bit, I'm struggling with. It's an age thing apparently.
Get that shit checked out. There is a blood test, no finger puppet tryouts required.
i absolutely LOVE this video. short and sweet, straight to the point, and amazing cinematography from start to finish
I appreciate something like this that actually helps. Information is nice to have, but real riding assistance such as stretching exercises(something I need to start doing) is extremely helpful. Thanks
I have just stopped 4 hours away from home at midway nowhere and there you are in support like always. I can’t stretch anything apart from my belly but it’s great how you care about all of us 🤛💨
Just came back from a 1.2k km. 5 days ride. I will keep these stretches in mind for future rides. Cheers!
I have had hip issues for years, and now I do some of these exercises shown. They allowed me to ride for longer, and with far less pain. Seeing a physio was well worth it.
Saw a few new ones I didn't know about, I will now be adding to my repertoire.
Another informative and useful vid. Thanks 45!
Excellent as always....thanks guys!🤘
This is gold. People who didn't open this video don't know what they're missing.
Excellent series!
Oh 45, you can't take Squamish valley road to the Chilcotins - need an OTA update for your GPS there bud
“Go clone yourself.” YEEEEEEEEEESSSSSSS. We need more Ryans to be all sarcastic and condescending toward each other. Great idea, #45.
Just 2 more number until 45 has to shave his head
Pain prevents me from long rides at times. This is awesome.
Thank you for your work.
Great video I’m certainly going to practice them.
Thanks
Heading to Italy(from Netherlands) in exactly 1 week, i will surely use this on my long days! Thanks!
These are similar to stretches that I do for cycling. I give them a ton of credit for my comfort on a 600. If you want to be able to ride a sport bike all day do these.
Also get a road cycling bike. They will make everything seem comfortable
Amen to that brother. Converted to a motorcyclist, but will always be a road cyclist first and foremost! I love to tour on two wheels: the motorcycle just lets me go farther on trips while keeping a job like a normal person (we aren’t all lucky enough to be retired GS riders). It is hilarious to hear most motorcyclists complain about pain from riding motorcycles and talk about having/needing an iron butt: I think it is cute. 😂
I do yoga each morning, but you offered a few more stretch options I’ve not tried! Adding them to my routine! As always, love you presentation and crazy sense of humor. Thanks
The plot thickens. Is 45 actually going rogue? is Ryan gonna go catch him? I wanna see a feature length film about this subplot.
A shop tour would be an awesome video!
Thanks Lianne!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I did the exercises.
My cat began to imitate me.
I feel like she is mocking me.
I love this channel.
Great video. I’ve been searching for a motorcycle specific stretching routine for years. I have turned to yoga and it helped tons.
Great content. Nice job!
Thankfully, those stretches help with sweeping floors too.
*great stretches 💪*
More of these please
Aside from the the Twister game stretch, use the stretches you learned when you played any organized sport. Or went to gym class in school.
I clicked play as a skeptic, prepared to mock and have a laugh, but ended up enjoying the whole video and found it really well done! 👍👍
Been telling this to people (motorcycle rider) for years!!! Great job 45! One tip though, push your hands and knees together in “cat” position and reverse direction on “goat”. Makes all the difference ;)
This is pretty much Yoga 101.
Great fun video!
This makes great sense, since motocross rider's have to do very large battery. of exercises to stay competitive.
Cheers from Squamish/Brackendale.
It's a good idea to find a steady breath while stretching. It's possible to breathe into a stretch rather than holding an exhalation or inhalation. And breathing slow & steady makes us more relaxed generally.
A lot of these are like Tom Morrison's "Simplistic Mobility Method", which is a remedial stretching & exercise routine aimed at people who've developed instabilities, joint pain or core weakness.
Add Supine twist/archery stretch/lumbar rotation/what ever other name you give it. So good when the hips release and free up lower back movement.
The clone wars ! Is that Blade Ryan Runner I see on the horizon ? Watch out 45... summer is Comming !
Some great cat cowing on display. Great job!
It's just as good when you do it standing up
Stay hydrated, make sure the throttle lock works, make sure you can still move your right foot and your left hand can still work the clutch and you're good to go.
Don’t forget the cramp buster. Kinda dorky, but super useful for preventing hand cramp, just like the throttle lock.
That last tweet! I'm gonna miss 45 😢
Technical note: In Canada, the Figure 4 is called "The Sharpshooter." FYI. Great vid.
45 seemed so good in previous videos, that I was thinking he might last for several more years. Now I'm thinking that might be a stretch.
I laughed at all the funnies especially the upper left-hand corner motorcycle, cartoon zipping by.
02:58 oooh mi god 😂😂,cant stop🤣 what a genius guys
Just love it
Looks like 45's back isn't ready for the home stretch! Good thing Lianne's here to save the day. Time for some motorcycle yoga, anyone?
I have an old lumbar spine injury from 16 years ago. Sometimes it acts up and I do some similar stretches to these in the video, and it relieves the pain. If anyone's in a similar boat, check out the "child pose" yoga move, knee roll, bridge (or half-bridge), and the figure twist.
45 doesn't know the first thing abut being a real human. He'll be back.
The cat cow was an awesomely effective stretch for me.
Fortnine
Very nice video- thank you ghost bangers 😅😅😊
The coffee was funny😂
There is an idea for you: can you create a 2-3 page pdf that people can download or print, and take with them on the trip?
The video is great and I’m glad I watched it. But next time I’m doing a multi-day trip through terrain with little or no phone coverage, I won’t be able to watch this. A quick cheat-sheet to remind me the exercises from this and the previous video would be just awesome to have in my saddle bag.
Is there anything you can do yourself?
@zmgen Try an AI, like ChatGPT. Ask it to make a printable pdf of the exercises in this video. Maybe it'd cost you a buck or two, not including printing.
Perhaps, look for a yoga 101 pdf. Or better yet, attend a basic yoga class 3-4 times per week,,,you will memorize the routine quickly. If I can do it,, i am positive you can too.😁
You know what? It absolutely never occurred to me that I could make a document myself. Wow. Thx for the tip!
@@pacopetepnw3434 Super easy, just do something 3-4 times a week /s
45 , you are valued.
This was an interesting an informative video. Am I going to do any of those stretches? Probably not. But I'll watch the next video.
This man left out the power of drugs?! Advil, Tylenol, Naproxen, caffeine & ephedrine! Not to mention stretching while riding. I once did Kelowna to Vegas in like 4 days on a sprint 1050 ST great ride! lots of miles and a few good drugs can get you far down the road in comfort. Dose responsibly!
Advil liquigels are the bomb for that! I am usually a generic med buyer, but the first time I tried one, I realized you get relief so much faster with the liquid gels, and it is worth it.
@keith3761 Literally the most underrated comment on here...EC stack is the absolute most well kept hidden secret
Ec stack was the go to for bodybuilders on a cut. Meth works better though
Having had a long day on the bike yesterday, this is kind of handy. Except that it doesn't really solve the main problem I have, which is that my knees lock up when I don't move them for an hour at a time, and that I can't stretch them in place without slowing down (not happening!) or forcing them against high speed airflow.
I know that the best way of doing things is to avoid riding around the M25 and make sure I've got plenty of time to stop and stretch and still arrive on time, but that's not always feasible.
I have, however, found that flexing and stretching my back and shoulders while riding works fairly well to avoid being locked into position.
Of course, the best way of taking care of your knees as a biker is not to drop a heavy bike on them.
When I do ~500km trips on my naked bike usually it's the shoulders that get the most strained.
It helps if you dont have the stock 2x4 DR seat. I upgraded mine to the Seat Concepts comfort model.
Sitting puts the hamstring in the short position and the quads in the long position. Dont slouch. Maintain core stability. Keep arms relaxed. Dont grip the damn bar like a bench press. Stay loose
and grip the tank with your legs?
@@steve00alt70 more of a passive grip than an active one but yes. Also depends on the type of bike. Heavy cruisers ive never noticed a need too. Adv and sport bikes you have too
@@richvangorder3900 what about naked bikes
Awesome! I did "moto yoga" in motion, WA-->FL. It made all the dif on my old body😁
lol cat cow was one of the exercises they had me doing when rehabbing my shoulder
God bless 45 and Ryan f9 !!!
Even just sitting here watching this I can feel my muscles loosening.
Next time you're at the gym, don't forget to make few sets of "motorcycle row" in order to be prepared for your trips! ;)
Just got my first bike, immediately started commuting, this shit rules
Why does my throttling hand go numb?
Cold, same position for a long period of time, etc.
Dig this channel!
Gotta love bringing the Bailey's bottle along for the 6 hour ride.
... for *after* the 6 hour ride, tho, right? (not trying to get too preachy...)
@@CharlesLindsay1 He had it out on the picnic bench during his rest stop.
Ive been watching fortnine and sean and craig for 7 hours sitting in a cheap gaming chair. What stretches do you recommend?
Don't tell me 45 is leaving if he goes I go. Come back 45!!!
F9 Multiplicity like Batman
This content proves what I can see anyways, most riders are oooold lol
The FortNine lore is so deep...
I love fortnine because even tho they are trying to sell me something at least they try to help me along the way
As someone who enjoys stretching more than a traditional workout, that seated figure 4 just unlocked my hips that I thought were frozen from a previous injury! The figure 4 plus all the other stretches in this really do work well, even for someone who doesn't ride... yet (Sorry F9. Soon... Soon...).
I’ve always stretched while riding my bike on 500 mile trips , every 130-40 miles I stop, refuel bike and go for a coffee followed by a
15 minute walk , always worked for me , wakes me up as as well.
This is actualy a psyop for us doing yoga!!!!
