Thinking about the scene where Kakashi where Kakashi says in his head speaking to his dad while watching Guy charging Night Guy, his best friend about to die, say, "Dad, it was exactly as you said it would be.", always makes the tears start welling up in my eyes. Watched that scene over 20 times over the years, every fucking time without fail.
It's iconic. I love that in their retirement they spend most of their time together. Going on "holiday," with each other it makes me so happy to see such a strong friendship!

Unless Naruto gets a prequel, then, we can safely assume Dai did it all by himself, setting a level for his son which he surpassed. Just want to add that Guy also made Itachi his rival, who is a genius. Lee got Naruto, Sasuke, etc.
yeah honestly might duy life was depressing but crazy he was treated horrible but he did what he did by himself and took on the seven ninja swordsman while being a genin
It wasn't depressing, it was inspiring. Dai never cared about what other people say about him. He only cared what his son thinks of him. He trained hard and more than any shinobi because he didn't have ninjutsu. He developed/discovered gates of chakra all by himself. TOOK DOWN 7 legendary NINJA SWORDSMAN ALL BY HIMSELF. So yeah he was legendary. (I'm not talking about any other character here, because in naruto comparison is almost impossible, every other character is great)
Loved Gai when he saved Lee from Gaara. Him saying that Lee was precious to me and then showing such emotion when he saw just how strong Lee's conviction was made me tear up. The moment when he was one of my favorites though was when he told Lee that if the surgery killed Lee, the he would die right next to him because he believed in Lee and his ability to make it through everything. He really is one of the best ninjas in the entire series.
I needed this. I needed this so much. I've spent the past few years feeling like I lost all the joy in my life. But hearing this reminds me. We can't wait for joy to find us. We have to make our own. The question "What would Might Guy do?" is going to get me through the rest of my life. LET THE POWER OF YOUTH EXPLODE!!!!!!
The closest Naruto has gotten to being taught by Guy is when Naruto copied Lee's moves during the Chunin Exams and remixed the moves into the "Na-ru-to Uzumaki Barrage". Guy taught those moves to Lee. Also Naruto is one of the few people to respect Guy and Lee's over the top personalities and quirky green jumpsuits. He was first weirded out by their appearance, but after getting to properly know them Naruto was gifted a green jumpsuit and even wore it. It makes sense Naruto is able to accept the quirkiness of Guy and Lee when everyone else tries avoiding it. Naruto has been avoided by everyone for being a Jinchuriki plus Naruto is also loud and over the top just like them so he fits right in.
Through THE SPIRIT OF YOUTH that boy would be unlocking to the 3rd gate by the time he was a teenager and with his healing ability he'd be meeting people. While not at the insane willpower that Rock Lee has, Naruto has the hacks ability to use his tons of shadowclones for faster training and we know that him getting red skin and like 5x stronger based on a move is something he'd want to do
Thing is, you can counter genjutsu and ninjutsu... There are techniques you can learn. Taijutsu.. you either dodge it or you block it.. if you aren't fast enough or strong enough, you're SOL.
Might Guy has always been one of my all time favorites by far, I finally got 8 Gates Guy tatted on my arm literally just last month. His story has always been so relatable, always thought of as being incapable and looked down upon in his early days but never let that change his attitude or stop him from becoming one of the strongest characters in the entire series. It's so dope how they can draw him so silly and light hearted one way, but also so bad ass looking and sounding when shits getting serious. Just some random Jonin chilling in the leaf preaching the power of youth, could easily body every single Kage living and dead and most of them don't even know it😂
One of my favourite characters and a person who changed my look on life as a teen. I became a spectacle of physical hardwork to myself. Took my martial arts training with a different look to it. One thing people always forget about Might Guy is that he can use ninjutsu and has very good genjutsu resistance. Guy chooses not to use ninjutsu and focus on his taijutsu. Guy can use summoning jutsu. It is not a simple feat. Very few people can do it. You need to find a summoning animal and make a contract with it. You also need good chakra control and output to be able to summon the animal. Genjutsu resistance training of course played a big part in Kakashi being his eternal rival.
I can't remember the episode now, it's been years, but they state he is as good at ninjutsu as he is at taijitsu. Like you said, he swore to not use it to teach Rock Lee about hardwork.
Might guy is probably my favorite character as I get older for these reasonings you gave. Might guy feels like the dude who had literally nothing going for him except for a fire that simply could not be extinguished no matter who tried. I remember ugly crying, screaming at the top of my lungs as guy almost one shot Madara because it felt like I was the one being declared the greatest tai jutsu specialist to ever live.
In Madara's time noone knew how to use 8th gate and madara knew about it only from Zetsu who saw Dai use it against 7 swordsmen. That's why he was so quick to proclaim Gai the strongest, he never fought 8 gates before. Headcannon
@@TheodoreBrosevelt Just remove the word probably from your statement and I'll like your comment. Base Madara never had a chance against 8th gate Gai.
@nathan hosea Yeah, 7th gate Gai easily solos most ninjas in the anime. 8th gate is already God level. Gaara mentions that Gai movements aren't even human when he used 7th gate against Madara. That easily tells you he is on another level, hence why Kisame lost to him so easy. Kisame couldn't even hurt Gai at all and he was considered a Bijuu level human.
Yo Hammer....I will not lie to you....these deep dives into Naruto Philosophy and psychology have been dam near spiritual for me dawg. You are appreciated my guy.
Just recently finished the “Might Guy Vs. Madara” fight and I’m very excited to watch this. Those episodes that went over his backstory of training really made me like him a lot more.
Aside from the fact that I grew up with Naruto and love all the content and story of it; one of my favorite things that you do is to be able to pull some of these lessons that are embedded in the people of this show. Not sure why, but something about taking the characters and using these videos to show what they represent and stand for is one of the coolest things ever. Thanks for the video Nick!
Might Guy is one of my favorites in all of Naruto verse. He is so kind hearted, doesn't have that BS plot-armor that other characters have. He risks his life for others, he doesn't pick fights he KNOWS he can win, he fights the fights he HAS to pick. His challenges for Kakashi is always lighthearted and funny ideas, in order to keep Kakashi down to earth and to remind him to enjoy the little things now and then. He talks to Tenten about her not being a genious and not working as hard as Lee, Might Guy tells her it's okay, she will find something she will be great at, and he will help her find it and cheer her on.
I really love how both Might Gai and Kakashi represent some of the absolute core values of what it means to be a shinobi in the Naruto universe. In many ways, they're exactly the same. While Kakashi is a talented and intelligent person, he's a bit of a recluse and not a great people person, but Might Gai is stubborn enough to have inserted himself into his life anyway, and is shown multiple times to be much better around other people - even if they're both awkward in their own ways. Further, in terms of embodying the values of Naruto's universe, they both work incredibly hard all of the time and never take anything for granted. In the kanji used for "Shinobi" is "endurance", which could be interpreted both as a physical thing, but also the ability/will to not give up, and they're both great representations of that too.
guy is no gag, he's one of the coolest characters, when he gave that pep talk to lee about getting the surgery so he can fight again, and that if he dies from it he will die with him straight made me cry, literally tearing up typing it out lmao, guy is that dude
Guy is a symbol of hardwork and dedication, that much we all know. But I'm glad you touched on how he was also there for his friends especially Kakashi. He was also the best sensei in Konoha for me. I wish more people could look past his gimmicks and his "not conventionally attractive" design.
I just really like Guy's character and in my opinion he's the kind of friend everyone needs in their lives to be inspired by. He just as equally had struggles and losses in his life but he still kept true to his values and that's what I think makes Guy one of the best characters in Naruto.
i just think he's the embodiement of fatherhood that you just understand growing up. You want to show nothing but strength and safety to your kids. Wanting them to feel it's gonna be ok as long as you're by their side and be ready to do everything to fulfill that promise. The thumb up of him or his father before going all in is all it takes to understand what they stands for.
Guy saying "who are you" to some of the most legendary ninja and warriors is almost a duality in respects to his father and his teachings. These mighty ninja are forgetable to him not because he is vastly strong than them, rather the people he holds in highest regard are those like Lee and Naruto how strive and slave to get stronger. Those like Kisame who become complacent with their power become forgetable. This is also why he was probably able to catch up to Kakashi in their battles. At one point Kakashi because content with this strength (something he mentions in Shippuden during the pain arc and again in the war arc), while guys never stopped pressing forward. TBH I think the war arc would have been better if it had gone slightly different and Naruto and Sasuke would have gotten their power up still found out they could beat Madara and might guys ended up killing him with the eight gates. Or at the very least beat him to a point where Naruto and Sasuke could have sealed him. I kinda find it weird that in Boruto he is stuck in a wheel chair and all of his body has healed except the leg he used to kick Madara.
Low-key cried at the end of this one because might guy has always been my favorite character since frame one and just loved him more the more I watched. Whenever I am struggling I always ask myself what Guy Sensei would do in my situation. This made my day bro
The shows' greater theme is not "it does not matter what clan or family you come from, with hard work you can do anything", this is exemplified where the "geniuses" of the show work just as hard as the "people born without any talent" (Guy says this about Kakahu and Rock Lee says this about Neji). The show's greatest theme is that we can get along and talk things out and build bonds with understanding and dialogue. This is why Naruto's fights end up with "talk no jutsu" (the main expectation being Naruto vs. Kakazu). It is not until Naruto talks to people is when they change. Neji didn't change until Naruto talked to him, same with Pain and Sauske.
Except people look at someone having any modicum of natural talent and think everything they have came _only_ from natural talent. Best example of this fandom heresy is Naruto himself.
I always thought when I first saw Guy he referred to himself as a Noble Blue Beast. But he being dressed up green thought it was a mistranslation. But after seeing his fight with Kisame understood what the blue was. It blew my mind at the time how that was set up so early in the story. Then in the fight with Madara he calls the emergence of the Red Beast, it was pure awesomeness.
In my opinion if guy defeated madara and madara was dying and at that moment he was taken over it would've been a better plot because guy gets to shine more madara doesn't look like he got tricked its just makes both characterd look better in the plot as a whole
Guy and Lee have always been 2 of my favourite characters in the series. Their unapologetic optimism and drive to never give up no matter how stacked against them the odds seem. They are both fantastically inspiring characters.
I love how "Pein" the effective leader of the akatsuki, asks ITACHI UCHIHA who Guy is, because BLACK ZETSU has identified Guy as a serious threat to them(after he says the enemy approaches and Pein questions what enemy, Zetsu says "a very skilled and dangerous one, his name is Might Guy")...Itachi describes Guy as "An Elite Leaf Shinobi, a Master of Taijutsu...do NOT, underestimate him"
This is my new favorite video in forever, like on all of UA-cam. Awesome job! Rock lee and Might Guy are the 2 characters in this show I always find myself thinking back on more than any other, and their attitudes on life are what I tried to emulate to some degree in my own life (not the whole training for a million hours a day thing the other stuff). Hope this shows more people how great this character is.
Might Guy (or, as me and my friends have started calling him "Almighty Dude") is quickly becoming one of my favorite characters the more I learn about him. I've learned some invaluable stuff from people just like him... Things I think very well might be part of what has kept me sane as long as I've been alive. And just like Might Duy taught Might Guy so he might teach others, I strive to be that source of goodness and light. Much love to Kishimoto, but goddamn do I hate him for making characters who can so strongly affect others (I know y'all can't tell, but I am STARING at Lee, Neji, Guy, and Kakashi as I type this).
i fell for "the genius of hard work” theme the second half of naruto kinda blew that away. it really started at the valley of the end, when sasuke said “i am more special than you"😅
Wow! That was deep. Might Guy is one of my favorites because he continually overcomes what people consider to be handicaps. I also like the fact Might Guy and Rock Lee seem to be modeled off Bruce Lee in some ways. I think it is cool because the Japanese creators have such respect for the Chinese Bruce Lee that they included these characters that symbolize, in some ways, the hard work and skill that Bruce Lee was famous for.
Guy’s childhood flashback was by far one of my favorites, just seeing his dad teaching him and being proud, then opening the gates to fight the 7 swordsmen into the transition of Guy fighting Madara was so fucking good in the anime. Like damn, his dad would be proud
All I can say is thank you for this encouraging and motivating video! Although I've lost my beloved husband and my ability to speak all within the last five(5) months, I try to focus on how I can use my story and my journey to help others and this is what helps me get through each day. I am so thankful for your videos on both of your channels: I laugh, I cry and I am always INSPIRED 😍☺please never change
I was feeling quite depressed and am in bad state right now..... And I just started this video to just distract me from my thoughts while I eat...... But I never imagined I would feel something so hard and tender at the same time that it will move my heart!...... I thank you Nick, you are the reason I feel that something really changed in me today......
I remember watching Naruto unleashed and just thinking might Guy was annoying. Shippuden really brought him to life and one of my favourite scenes of the whole anime is him fighting Madara with the 4th Hokage theme playing. Gives me chills and actually makes me feel kinda emotional just thinking about it ❤
After that video, i really started to sympathize with Might Guy, thanks for opening me that perspective. He is actually a amazing person. Naruto is truly such a great serie for learning some lessons for life.
this was truly a great video and very eye opening and even enlightening. i been trynna get out of a dark head space in real life, but something as simple as the spring time of youth reminds me to never forget to honor your inner child who originally cares of everyone but as u get old u get bitter and the bitterness is sooooo real YOU HAVE to learn to forgive and smile
he is my inspiration in life, because i feel relatable to guy i was so skinny that my friends used to make fun of me they called me an Alien, they said i had aids and thats the reason i was skinny, i put my head down was depressed for being bullied. then started working on mysef did pushups over over and over after few months seen results which now im proud of....this what makes me feel might guy just hard work, pushups sheer will power.......thats why he is motivation and my drive to be like him in life positive, kind, determination which makes him a role model to me and many others out there "THE POWER OF YOUTH" ❤🔥💯
I don't wish this to be taken as comparison, but your video essays invoke the same feelings in me as when I watch Gigguk's. I can feel the passion and the want to share something you love with others, unabashedly. Thanks to your videos, I've fallen back in love with Naruto again.
I knew Might Dai took out some of the seven swordsmen, but learning that the "Eternal Genin" absolutely dogwashed 6 out of 7 and that the last one was so fucked up he started selling village secrets
As someone who has only seen the shows, I cannot tell you how much I love your videos. It has helped me understand the story and characters more than I ever anticipated, as the shows didn’t cover a lot of what you do. Thank you and your team for ya’ll’s work. ❤
I’m pretty sure Practicing the 8 inner gates every night drained Might Dai’s energy, leaving him less powerful during the day which is why he stayed a genin. his chakra was never full during the day, it was restoring from the night’s previous training.
For me, Might Guy is an extremely reliable character. Kakashi always got his moments and spotlight but when he breaks theres always Guy to save him and patch him up
Might Dai had his own philosophy for strength. He never let titles weigh him down. I believe he never showed the 8 gates to anyone as he was more worried about raising his son and helping whoever he could with a smile. You also have to consider the times, the chunin exams were probably very strict on the needed abilities to move up. He'd automatically be disqualified from promotion because he's only good at taijutsu.
Finally!!!! Finally!!! Finally!!!!! Man i cant thank u enough for this video✨✨✨ I've said, commented, argued, debated about how underutilised and even worse, under appreciated Might Guy Sensei was, the man had no talented parents, no gifted clan, no jinchuriki, no uchiha and sharingaan stuff, not even good teachers for that matter. Imagine developing attacks such as Sekizo, Evening Elephant, Hirudora etc. by your own, our Naruto fandom unfortunately doesn't appreciate and treasure Guy Sensei enough. All they see is Kakashi and Itachi. Remember that it's thanks to Might Guy that Kakashi didn't go evil, its him requesting Minato about Kakashi that Minato took kakashi under him. Even Itachi feared him( Itachi fan boys won't accept it). The man alone scared away Itachi and Kisame, took down Kisame in his own domain of water and atlast, almost bloody f*cking killed Madara( Madara fan bois will say he was playing when they know that Madara himself said "You bastard, that attack almost killed me"). Hands down he defines the true theme of the series that Hardwork can beat talent and he definitely is my most favourite character in the series. All hail to Might Guy 🙇🏻🙇🏻🙇🏻🙇🏻🙇🏻🙇🏻
I honestly believe Might Guy is/was one of the strongest in all of Naruto. He surpassed Kakashi and even earned Madaras respect. If he would of remembered to take his weights off when he fought Marada he would have won HANDS DOWN!
I love how not only how positive he is, but how he is never afraid to be himself. He loves who he is and loves the people around him, all the while using that positivity to make himself and others better around him. With all the darkness of the ninja world, he is a radient beam of light, and I wouldn't have it any other way.
That Neji vs Naruto fight did not show that hard work and dedication beats natural talent it just showed that having the second most powerful tailed beast is a good ace in the hole.
Not so. Neji may have seen the chakra of the tailed beast inside Naruto, but Naruto didn't really use the tailed beast chakra. Naruto had an incredibly immense amount of chakra
I love Might Guy because he's just so motivational and inspirational even when he's being a goof ball, He's one of the personifications along with his father and student that speaks and shows how hard work can overcome pure talent.
Might guy is one of my favorite characters and after watching this video and learning more about his back story. I just found more reason to love his character. I can relate with him alot. I have had a lot of struggles but I have always tried to keep myself as positive as possible.
After seeing what Guy did to Juubidara, I wonder how the other three members from the Seven Ninja Swordsmen of the Mist aka Juzo, Raiga and Fuguki survived 8th Gate of Death from Might Duy. I mean they battled 8th Gate of Death Might Duy and survived.😮
My assumption is that Dai suffered much more from the debilitating pain the 8th gate caused due to not being as strong as Guy. Guy obviously was a freak of nature and his willpower led him to relentlessly train and become one of the stronger jonin in Konoha. I mean, he wasnt given an Anbu spot not because of his talent, but because of his heart being too kind. Dai in my mind was the ultimate glass canon. Very strong due to the 8 gates, but unfortunately unable to wield it to it's fullest. (Realistically, its plot convenience lol. Can't have the 7 swordsmen all die because then it's harder to explain why Konoha didn't have the legendary swords)
I like to think of Might Guy as the ULTIMATE Secret Weapon. The type of guy who goes underestimated by most everyone. People almost always shallowly judge him because he’s a corny goofball. But only Genius’s like Sakumo & Itachi ever really knew and saw his potential. That’s why his nickname was always self proclaimed by Guy himself!! Almost nobody knew him and that’s the whole point/joke!!!… they knew the Copycat Ninja, the Yellow Flash, White Fang, Demon of the hidden mist, God of Shinobi, Toad Sage, Slug Queen, Wicked Eye, The Professor, Gold & Silver Bros, etc etc etc etc He was Konoha’s greatest trump card because he flew under the radar of the ninja world. At least until the great ninja war against Madara… We would all be better as people to learn from the importance of men like Might Guy. “Never judge a book by its cover” “Great moments are born from great opportunity” “Hard work beats talent when talent fails to work hard” I could list a million more and they’re all applicable to Might Fucking Guy!!!!
It’s interesting after all of this how Kakashi still said to Sasuke that everyone he loved was already dead, with Guy still there. I think that goes to shows the process that Kakashi even then was into healing from all that had happened, that he hadn’t quite accepted his by then definitely best friend for who he was to him. I wish we got more of Guy, especially when there are a lot of characters him just talking to would have been interesting since he respected different people and their strengths probably more than anyone.
Everytime I think of Guy Sensei, I tear up. My favorite character in the series. And this was a beautiful analysis about him "I, Madara, declare you the strongest of them all!"
For me Might Guy is by far the most inspiring person in Naruto for all the reasons put in this video and some others I can’t think of at the moment. He’s one of the very few people in fiction that I aspire to be like in my life.
I love how Might Guy fights some of the strongest fighters in the show multiple times and he’s always like “Who are you?” 😂

(I'm not talking about any other character here, because in naruto comparison is almost impossible, every other character is great)
@@Akagami753might Dai the man
I choose to believe might Dai had another even big loser badsss with bushy brows before him show him
Might Guy is the happiest Ninja I've ever seen.
Because mastery of thy self is true peace
Loved Gai when he saved Lee from Gaara. Him saying that Lee was precious to me and then showing such emotion when he saw just how strong Lee's conviction was made me tear up. The moment when he was one of my favorites though was when he told Lee that if the surgery killed Lee, the he would die right next to him because he believed in Lee and his ability to make it through everything. He really is one of the best ninjas in the entire series.
MIght guy was the most pure person in naruto
period.
“As long as I’m breathing, it’s not over.” - Tenzin (The Legend of Korra)
Heck yes!!! You got this!!!
I want an WWMGD bracelet!
XDXD It's powerful but needs another belief or cause to help generate/ modulate the power/force of will.
Damn right let the power of youth blossom
Imagine if Might Guy trained Naruto.
He'd actually learn something before the chunin exam
10k shadow clones that could kick your heart out your chest.
Actually this brings forth a question. If a shadow clone used the 8 gates, does only the clone die?
Through THE SPIRIT OF YOUTH that boy would be unlocking to the 3rd gate by the time he was a teenager and with his healing ability he'd be meeting people. While not at the insane willpower that Rock Lee has, Naruto has the hacks ability to use his tons of shadowclones for faster training and we know that him getting red skin and like 5x stronger based on a move is something he'd want to do
Gai was so broken that Itachi, Sasuke, Madara, Gaara and Kakashi, all recognized his power and feared him.
Thing is, you can counter genjutsu and ninjutsu... There are techniques you can learn.
Taijutsu.. you either dodge it or you block it.. if you aren't fast enough or strong enough, you're SOL.
He's so powerful he became a super saiyan god with just the power of youth
Might Guy has always been one of my all time favorites by far, I finally got 8 Gates Guy tatted on my arm literally just last month. His story has always been so relatable, always thought of as being incapable and looked down upon in his early days but never let that change his attitude or stop him from becoming one of the strongest characters in the entire series.
It's so dope how they can draw him so silly and light hearted one way, but also so bad ass looking and sounding when shits getting serious. Just some random Jonin chilling in the leaf preaching the power of youth, could easily body every single Kage living and dead and most of them don't even know it😂
Is there a picture online of your tattoo?
Even at 7th gates.
🔥🔥 might guy is my fav character he’s so underrated and so is the “8gates” system
Me: I can't use 8 gates.
Them: why?
Me: I Might Dai.
Thank you! I'll see myself out now.
Bravo here take this epic star sticker and see yourself out

This deserves more likes lol
I love it
Sir, you may see yourself out now
One of my favourite characters and a person who changed my look on life as a teen.
Konoha : you are the worst ninja i have ever heard of, eternal genin.
Might dai:.... aye, but you have heard of me
underrated comment
Headcannon
He was talking about taijutsu in general
He also understood that if he didn't have his power ups, he probably would've got packed up.
@@TheodoreBrosevelt Just remove the word probably from your statement and I'll like your comment. Base Madara never had a chance against 8th gate Gai.
@@kristiangines1486 Let alone 8th Gate Guy, he probably loses to 7th Gate Guy as well.
This comment is beautiful. Is it your first time watching it or recap?
Aside from the fact that I grew up with Naruto and love all the content and story of it; one of my favorite things that you do is to be able to pull some of these lessons that are embedded in the people of this show. Not sure why, but something about taking the characters and using these videos to show what they represent and stand for is one of the coolest things ever. Thanks for the video Nick!
Masashi Kishimoto clearly has a very good emotional intelligence, as well as knowledge of the human psyche possibly rivaling that of Togashi-sensei.
My top Naruto characters list is.
1st Gaara!
2nd Hidan.
Okay, it is insane how deep Might Guy actually is. What an amazing character and video! He officially became one of my favorite anime heroes.
They're basically the non senju and uchiha version of the reincarnated Six Path children
guy is no gag, he's one of the coolest characters, when he gave that pep talk to lee about getting the surgery so he can fight again, and that if he dies from it he will die with him straight made me cry, literally tearing up typing it out lmao, guy is that dude
Bro I don't know what you do perfect but something about your delivery just beats out every other Naruto channel I've seen 💪

Guy is a symbol of hardwork and dedication, that much we all know. But I'm glad you touched on how he was also there for his friends especially Kakashi. He was also the best sensei in Konoha for me. I wish more people could look past his gimmicks and his "not conventionally attractive" design.
Might guy and Rock Lee... legends of Will and Dedication
I just really like Guy's character and in my opinion he's the kind of friend everyone needs in their lives to be inspired by. He just as equally had struggles and losses in his life but he still kept true to his values and that's what I think makes Guy one of the best characters in Naruto.
Might guy is one of my favorite characters and now I know a lot more about him, thank you for all the information.
i just think he's the embodiement of fatherhood that you just understand growing up. You want to show nothing but strength and safety to your kids. Wanting them to feel it's gonna be ok as long as you're by their side and be ready to do everything to fulfill that promise. The thumb up of him or his father before going all in is all it takes to understand what they stands for.
In a world of ninjutsu, be a Might Guy.
Guy made everyone around him a better person than when he found them
The Gai/Dai story is one of my all time favourites
fr it’s so underrated
Finally the long awaited *"Might Guy video"* . Keep up the good work Nick...
I think you’re missing the whole you don’t really matter unless you’re a descendant of the alien that came to planet and bred with humans parts too.
D-didnt Pain wipe out the whole village and murder almost everyone before Naruto got anywhere near that point?
I always thought when I first saw Guy he referred to himself as a Noble Blue Beast. But he being dressed up green thought it was a mistranslation. But after seeing his fight with Kisame understood what the blue was. It blew my mind at the time how that was set up so early in the story. Then in the fight with Madara he calls the emergence of the Red Beast, it was pure awesomeness.
Yep lee calls himself the green beast cause 3-6 only emits green steam and sweat while 7th is the blue
I love how "Pein" the effective leader of the akatsuki, asks ITACHI UCHIHA who Guy is, because BLACK ZETSU has identified Guy as a serious threat to them(after he says the enemy approaches and Pein questions what enemy, Zetsu says "a very skilled and dangerous one, his name is Might Guy")...Itachi describes Guy as "An Elite Leaf Shinobi, a Master of Taijutsu...do NOT, underestimate him"
Him taking the eternal genin in stride reminds me of "youre the worst pirate ive evee heard of""but you have heard of me".
I had to fight tears hearing you tell the story about Might Guy's father. To experience love like that is truly a blessing
With me they just flowed
I mean, even Itachi said it in the beginning: Do NOT underestimate him.
Naruto is not only the reincarnation of a God, but a God who is the son of ninja Jesus. Really makes rewatching of Naruto feel hilarious at times
I remember watching Naruto unleashed and just thinking might Guy was annoying. Shippuden really brought him to life and one of my favourite scenes of the whole anime is him fighting Madara with the 4th Hokage theme playing. Gives me chills and actually makes me feel kinda emotional just thinking about it ❤
Rock Lee graduated by passing the clone jutsu test by stepping side to side so fast he made an after image
So I'm going to need you to give my eulogy after that description of Might Dai.
This video actually made me cry and is exactly what I needed
As someone who has only seen the shows, I cannot tell you how much I love your videos. It has helped me understand the story and characters more than I ever anticipated, as the shows didn’t cover a lot of what you do. Thank you and your team for ya’ll’s work. ❤
Me: “oh I’m gonna watch this dope video about Guy”
Me after that last bit of the video: * sobbing *
I’m pretty sure Practicing the 8 inner gates every night drained Might Dai’s energy, leaving him less powerful during the day which is why he stayed a genin. his chakra was never full during the day, it was restoring from the night’s previous training.
Might guy and lee were always my favorite characters in Naruto. Their stories just felt more real than any other characters
For me, Might Guy is an extremely reliable character. Kakashi always got his moments and spotlight but when he breaks theres always Guy to save him and patch him up
His relationship with Lee is so beautiful
might guy to the doctor: will my dad survive? Doctor: I don't know he Might duy.
Man, this meme was one of my favorite 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Might Dai had his own philosophy for strength. He never let titles weigh him down. I believe he never showed the 8 gates to anyone as he was more worried about raising his son and helping whoever he could with a smile. You also have to consider the times, the chunin exams were probably very strict on the needed abilities to move up. He'd automatically be disqualified from promotion because he's only good at taijutsu.
NC, JUST KNOW I've been waiting for this breakdown. Love and appreciate you for this one bro ❤💯
Finally!!!!
10:49 “Rock Lee and Kakashi
Amazing job on the narration Nick. I needed to hear this. Might Guy still stands to be one of the best characters we can learn from.
I honestly believe Might Guy is/was one of the strongest in all of Naruto. He surpassed Kakashi and even earned Madaras respect. If he would of remembered to take his weights off when he fought Marada he would have won HANDS DOWN!
The writers probably forgot
This is a wonderful example of a character embodying the original ethos of the show; hard work and a good attitude can overcome anything.
Kakashi and Guy are practically married, I love their bromance so much.
I know that sunlight was bothering you for a good minute 😂
I love how not only how positive he is, but how he is never afraid to be himself. He loves who he is and loves the people around him, all the while using that positivity to make himself and others better around him.

It sounded so truly heartfelt the whole way through.

That Neji vs Naruto fight did not show that hard work and dedication beats natural talent it just showed that having the second most powerful tailed beast is a good ace in the hole.
Yep!
We should've got a pivotal Neji vs Rock lee moment. It would've been better for both character arc
Not so. Neji may have seen the chakra of the tailed beast inside Naruto, but Naruto didn't really use the tailed beast chakra. Naruto had an incredibly immense amount of chakra

Guy=GOAT
Or they ran like cowards
They ran lol
@@jordanrobshaw1406 Yeah that must be the reason but still out running might duy?!
@@gohcinderace8204 he wasn't trying to kill them really, he was staying there to protect guy, so he wouldn't chase 1 and let the others get his son
Almost nobody knew him and that’s the whole point/joke!!!… they knew the Copycat Ninja, the Yellow Flash, White Fang, Demon of the hidden mist, God of Shinobi, Toad Sage, Slug Queen, Wicked Eye, The Professor, Gold & Silver Bros, etc etc etc etc
He was Konoha’s greatest trump card because he flew under the radar of the ninja world. At least until the great ninja war against Madara…
We would all be better as people to learn from the importance of men like Might Guy.
“Never judge a book by its cover”
“Great moments are born from great opportunity”
“Hard work beats talent when talent fails to work hard”
I could list a million more and they’re all applicable to Might Fucking Guy!!!!
And this was a beautiful analysis about him
"I, Madara, declare you the strongest of them all!"
For me Might Guy is by far the most inspiring person in Naruto for all the reasons put in this video and some others I can’t think of at the moment. He’s one of the very few people in fiction that I aspire to be like in my life.
This was my first video that was informational that made me cry. Thank you for discussing the subject of Might Guy!!!
I didn’t think a video about Might Guy would make me tear up, but here I am. It really is a beautiful concept done very well.
