I'm glad you liked it! These are my favorite type of videos to do 😊 I love talking to other types of farmers and learning more about what they do. And the community out here is so amazing, such kind hearted people!
Many years ago, one of the farmers in the area had a heartattack in the spring, and he was a good friend of my Grampa, so we as well as many others got together and worked ground and planted the rest of what he had left to do. That was cool how not only did all those neighboring farmers came together to help this guy, but the elevator shutting down and only taking corn from those guys, and staying open late in the night was amazing to see.
I hope those of us that watched this, or have helped in a similar situation will remember that this is who we really are. If you watch the news you would think the country was a bunch of heartless criminals. Well we aren't! The majority of people are pretty darn good, it was refreshing to see it. Thanks to all involved. Al from MN.
We had a neighbor with cancer and wasn’t able to drive his combine. We,his friends, got together and harvested his crops. There was 14 combines, tractors with grain carts, and about 30 trucks. He got better and the next year able to operate his own combine. The year after he got worse and passed away. We came in again and got the crop out for his family. Farmers take care of our own.
I used to farm in N / E Oregon . I love the fact that we help each other in a time of need that is the country way . Need more of it in many more ways . Many more places
I wanted to get this edited and out, considering the situation involved, so I apologize about any confusion with videos being posted! I was very grateful to be a part of this story and do my best to cover it all! A big thanks to EVERYONE involved, I would have loved to interview everyone, but given the tight timeframe harvest came first!
Completely understandable. It was a tough job to do and tight time table. Love the new hair color in opening scenes. Thanks for telling his and thier stories. It does matter.
From NOVEMBER until April each Year WINTER FROZEN Days since November Each year Summer Days From May until OCTOBER 31 ENDS Thanks Happy New Year Happy 2022
Suzanne… you had me in tears… I’m going to sit each of my grandchildren down and let them see there is goodness left in this world. Thanks dear, you produced a heart tugging masterpiece!
Lost Dad a few years ago to cancer, seeing this made my heart grow three sizes bigger. May God bless everyone who had a hand in making this happen. Mad Respect.
I remember when I was a teenager my uncle took me to a farm auction. Apparently the bank had for closed on this local farmer. Well all the local farmers got together and they had what they called a penny auction. What they did is everything that was auction the farmers bidding on it would bid a penny. Right down to the land and house. Because it was an auction everything sold for the highest bid a penny. At the end of the auction they gave everything back to the farmer. Now I was young and didn't realize what I was watching. Nor could I appreciate what they had did for this farmer. But let's just say this didn't happen to many times before the lenders and auction houses started putting minimum bids or they would just shut the auction down. But that day at least one farmer one against the system. I will never forget it.
Words can't express my respect for these people. There are heroes and angels everywhere, all we have to do is focus on the good people we see every day. God bless them all.
Very Awesome Video, I love real people like farmers, ranchers, truckers and real people that have such big Hearts like this video. Who care about their neighbors and Families as well as their own great job to all that made this possible. So So Beautiful Awesome. That is the Heart of America.
I live in southwest iowa and this year i was a part of a similar come together for a farmer's family , the farmer was killed in an off the farm vehicle accident ,,the whole crew together harvested 1300 acres of corn in 2 working days ,, it was an amazing sight to see ,,,16 combines over 50 tractors and wagons and 23 semis ,,i was one of the support crew running back and forth with fuel ,,
There’s so much petty press usually about Z list non entities. Overpaid, over publisised! Then there’s this. I’m so impressed with the help given freely to help this farmer have his dying wish. Best wishes from Cornwall UK. AND GOD BLESS ARLYN❤
Sing a song about the heartland, The only place I feel at home. Sing about the way a good man Works until the daylight's gone. Sing the rain on the roof on a summer night Where they still know wrong from right. Sing a song about the heartland. Sing a song about my life. Great video, Suzanne!
@@This1LifeWeLive Covid pretty much took away most of our gigs and two of my bandmates care for their super-geriatric parents. Since our weekly practices were in a very small studio, we didn't feel comfortable practicing in fear of indirectly exposing any of the old folks. And it was a smart move, as two of my bandmates did indeed get covid. We'll hopefully get back together someday soon...
Just when you think that humanity is lost, God touches hearts to come together when a good person is in need. God bless everyone involved in answering his prayers. God will reward you.
This is awesome rip arlyn mustve been a hell of a man to garner this much attentiin and praise from his community this comments section is so overly positive its hard to believe it exist... this is the america i know and love its easy to forget its still out there when your stuck in the broken cities with the zombies and sheep barely awake enough to know they are alive my dream is to move out to the high mountain plains and ranch albiet my body and and money stand in the inbetween

Thanks for showing this great man, have been missing dad, grandpa, uncles. One of my uncle's was given 6 months to live in 1999. He is still here. He has a big bandage on his head, I said so now they are going in from the top for an ingrown toenail. Mom was horrified, he laughed. Mom said well I guess it's good you guys can laugh about it. Cancer seems to get lots of people in our family.
Last year, on the Monday before Thanksgiving, my brother was pinned between two semi trailers in a freak accident, during a weird snow storm. Busted his pelvis all up. Most farmers had finished harvest, but he had a lot left. Several farmers in the La Plata, Missouri area got together and finished his harvest for him. They wanted no recognition, no fanfare. Just wanted to help a neighbor out. Thankfully he made a full recovery.
My dad is dying of cancer, in October the dr said he had six months and with some treatment maybe a little longer to live. He is 87 and has farmed most of those years .2020 was the year you could see that he didn't have it in him anymore as much as he wantedto carryon as usual. The last few months because of not being able to take part of the operation of his farm has made his quality of life go down. Its a hard thing to see as his son and knowing soon he will be gone. 😔 🇨🇦
Tears and prayers for this family, God bless everyone who stepped in to help. Seeing this just renews my faith in humanity. Thinking of that song "I believe most people are good" rings so true here...
God Bless Y'all For Honoring This Farmers Last Wish. Farmers work so hard, and don't get the credit they earn, and deserve. Paul Harvey said it well "So God Made A Farmer" in 1978 in a Speech to the FFA
This is so awesome! I had seen some local farmers posting about this including Tyler's wife, who I buy beef from. Love seeing this kind of stuff where people come together to help another through an unfortunate event. My best wishes to his family and employees. Also very cool you got to document this event for our west Michigan communities!
Arlyn Walt passed away yesterday, March 2, 2022. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family during this difficult time . . . .
So sad, RIP Arlyn Walt
That's sad news about this farmer.
Without farmers no one eats
Neighbors helping neighbors, the world needs more of that!

as did I onelonelyfarmer the way the other farmers took time away from their own farms to help this farmer was so Awesome
There's nothing better than watching a line of combines and grain carts rolling in to help out a fellow farmer and friend
Awesome!!!

Each and every one of them will blessed 10 fold!
Farmers always willing to help out when they need it and they ask for anything in return it’s a great way of life to be able to help out
This... THIS is what Family Farms and Farmers mean. Helping out the neighbors, giving of themselves to help others in the community.
I will pray for him.

This is the reason I volunteer with Farm Rescue!

Wow awesome job by everyone. Thank you for sharing.
This is why America is so great.
I'm a farmer and we farmers always appreciate each other's especially in times of hardship and needs. I wish this farmer the best healthy.
Thanks. This is a real "feel good" story I have shared it to my Facebook.
This was great of, all of his neighbors to come together and do this for their fellow farmer .
