I had to stream the Avs broadcast of the game last night and I thought it was some of the worst commentating I've ever heard! The guy actually had the nerve to say Hughes "wasn't a very pretty skater". Probably one of the dumbest things i've ever heard anyone say lol
Lollll I honestly didn’t mind everything else outside of the Hughes thing only cause i was genuinely entertained at the banter and randomness of the broadcast. So different from shorty n company lol
For sure! It wouldn't seem like Soucy going down would be such a big deal, but it's forcing guys like Myers to once again play too far up in the line-up. Maybe it's good this happened now rather than later though because it shows we absolutely need to add another top 4 D-man!
Not fragile but lacking depth. Sure miss Suter and Soucy. And a couple guys in the bottom six are not putting up any points. We need the extra points from these guys.I thought we out played the Avs for the majority of the play and out shot them. And there does seem to be something wrong with Petey. We could have won that game. They missed a bunch of chances. Have to score on those. Just getting Suter back will help. The sky is not falling.

@@LockedOnCanucks I remember when Hughes was compared to Makar 3 years ago then Hughes fell off a cliff. Then they compared Miro Heskanin ro Makar till he couldn't keep up them it was Adam Fox. These d men are all very good in their own right but no Makar. Hughes is good but does zero penalty kill, isn't as fast or electric as Makar and doesn't rock ppl like Makar does. It's not fair to Hughes. It's similar to comparing Brayden Point to McDavid. Not fair to Point. Hughes is Sam Girard with a little better shot. Hughes had a 5 pt game a few weeks back. He had 3 secondary power play assists and a 3v3 goal. Inflated stats. Give it a few weeks and Hughes stat line will come back to normal.
