My summary while listening
Today’s topic is about the translation of recipes. Britain is famous for its bad food but times are changing when Brits pick up recipes from other countries.
According to Rosa Llopis, a recipe translator, recipe translation is closely connected to gastronomy. Rosa want to specialize some traditional recipes and translate them into English as she hopes to produce a cook book that Brits could understand and buy it.
Rosa’s cookbook allows people to replicate typical dishes from Spain, her homeland. Also, she would choose alternative ingredients to replace Spanish ones that can’t be found in Britain. This helps Brits to mimic the taste or the flavors of certain Spanish dishes.
What a fantastic summary! Well done Irene! 👏
I am a foodie but these days I have to be extra cautious about my diet. To cut a long story, I have become a patient who needs to undergo a surgery to fix my colon.
thank you so much🎃
