i definitely agree. 50 yrs ago my baby's doctor exploded when he spoke about that the biggest thing that goes in her ears, is your finger and a wash cloth. he was furious.
I did this since a young age with warning from my mum who is a paediatric nurse. At the age of 28, I now have uncontrollable tinnitus, need music and sleeping tablets to sleep.
You shouldn’t stick a qtip that far into his ears. You only use them to clean the outside of his ears. Not only is it dangerous, but all you’re doing is shoving ear wax deeper into his ear canal which will cause it to get impacted deep in his ears

My mom used to clean my ears as a baby and toddler. I would even pretend my ears were hurting just so she'd clean them with peroxide water lol. I know it's technically not safe but you just gotta be super mindful when using a Q tip (and do this infrequently). I just got my hearing tested and everything came back great.
I remember when I had bad ear infections my dad would grab one and it was so relaxing because it actually helped the pain go away. Now sometimes he pused it a little too far in it hurt but other than that it was and still listen the best experience

Mabye.... don't use a Q tip because it pushes the ear wax back more into the ear👂
