It’s best to just go to an ENT and have them use the suction or a curette to remove the wax. Water can cause ear drum perforations or cause the water to just sit in the ears and cause an infection.

When I had Chronic Ear Infections for about 4 years straight it always felt Big and Heavy in my Ears sometimes even to the point I had an Awful Kink in my Neck because My Bad Ear Hurt too much to hold my head normally. The one and final Infection I had was so so bad and so very painful because it turned into a Fungal Infection because I was Allergic to the Ear Drops I was given and it made my Ear Swell Up and Shut Closed completely so with no Air getting in there that made a Raging Fugal Infection come about and it blew out my Ear Dumb on the left too. Doing just fine now though I’m on Antibiotics every 2-3 days now just because it seems to help a whole host of things with me, My Ears my Sinuses my Skin Problems just a bunch of things, I also used to have Eczema so badly that it looked like Burns on my Legs and while I was out Shopping people thought I was being Abused or something but the Antibiotics help my Eczema to stay away too so why not you know.

I remember a time when I was 7 or 8 years old. My family and I went to a pool, and when we got back home, I felt like my ear was clogged and full of water. I told my mom about it, but she thought it might be from me almost drowning there (she luckily saved me), so I just ignored it. After 2 days, I told her about it again, and she immediately took me to the hospital. When they pulled a plastic ball (I think it was one of those plastic balls from children's hair ties) from my ear, I couldn't believe it. it was just my left ear that was clogged, but I swear I felt like I could hear my organs.

I want to say go to a doctor that knows the anatomy or structure of the ear well to get this procedure done (yet how will you know until it gets done)
I had the old school one done for the first time on me and that wonderful woman and doctor first checked how blocked my ears were, poured like a baby laxative liquid in my ear, laid on the opposite for 5-10mins then she flushed it out.
It was amazing! And I'm very grateful for it.
Sometime after, she left and recommended me to someone else who was noticeably rough. But she said she was a very knowledgeable and good doctor.
I went to her for ear flushing and she punctured my ear drum. I ended up going to the hospital and never returned.

Hi! Hearing aid specialist here- please go get your ears properly examined. Your eardrum may have been perforated and water may have entered your middle ear space, which would cause (at the very least) the symptoms you have described. Sometimes perforated/punctured eardrums can heal on their own, but can lead to other complications if left untreated.

Out of all the ways you could possibly remove earwax, irrigation is one of the worst ways to do it. You should avoid getting water in your ears at all costs. You’d be better off getting it removed with suction or manual tools. An irrigator is what your GP uses, not trained hearing specialists. It’s honestly embarrassing that this is a clinic dedicated to ears and hearing and they solely use irrigators and water.

Ent or you can just buy ear wax softener spray/drops and small water shooting thing (no idea what it's called but its made from rubber and costs like 5-10$) and do this yourself.

Probably only if the dog is put under anesthesia. Dogs’ ear canals are L shaped. Human ear canals are - shaped, which is why the water comes right out.

This procedure can cause more damage if the wax is impacted or sitting right against the tympanic membrane (eardrum). Cerumen (ear wax) removal is only recommended to be performed by an ENT or specially certified medical professional.
