My grandma was so excited for my 16th birthday when we were in New York City and she found a Chanel bag being sold on the side of the road. I didn’t have the heart to tell her that it was counterfeit. I still have that bag it sits in my closet. Even though it’s counterfeit I still remember the smile on her face when she gave it to me
You should wear it over at her place to make her think u use it.
Oh hell, take the bag out of your closet and use it! Life is short!
david
You should wear with pride. The thought is what matters.
Doesn’t matter that she spent 100 or 10,000 on the bag at the end of the day she bought because she thought it would be bring you happiness.
Majority don’t know how to spot fakes. Nobody in there right mind will ever walk up to you and call you out for it.
Enjoy the little things in life and f what ppl think.
@@AZBAM23 i am against fake products so i cant suggest that. You're basically coppying someone else's hw. I am noy saying she should throw it away, it has emotional value, but i get her not wanting to use it
They generously use the word sustainable and it makes me feel uncomfortable because i know for the fact that most of these "luxuries" are made by exploitation in third world countries.
Exploiting 3rd world workers is sustainable.

Don't say anything about my Abibas kicks.
I remember when expensive meant quality.
All these brands are just turning into Kmart for me I don't see any quality anymore.
Not always but yeah it's a problem. And one of the reasons why fakes are on the rise I guess. People don't wanna pay insane unreasonable prices for shity quality when they can buy similar shity quality for way less.
The ´normal’ old quality are now luxury items, Vuitton was making suitcases ,Hermés saddles, Bentley cars , Rolex watched etc ...because they are either custom made or using high end products and are much more labor intensive than stuff made in distribution lines .
People were buying stuff to last and to get fixed if any issue , certainly not to be thrown out .
Take a basic product like a drill , except a pro who is going to buy a Hilti for 500$ when you can get one for 50 just to use it twice a year ? Before there was no option so you either have to buy the proper stuff and if you did not want to or could not afford it then you’d hire a pro who has the proper stuff. When I was a kid only lumberjacks had chainsaws or trimmers for hedges .
OMG I just got back from Bali! I hope I see you at *suluxs* there. Love from Indonesia
Just discovered your channel and I love it! Funnily enough, last week I saw a girl on the London Underground wearing a mid-length New York Demelier and I absolutely fell in love with her. I want to buy one at *preluxscom* . This will be a small gift for my birthday. Thanks for the channel.
1000% yes I buy only from *suluxs* I’m happy I’m not paying for overpricing just because there authentic when I can get the same for 10x lower . Sorry but no way rather spend it on my kids period 😮💨
Some brands ridiculous prices make them a target
Right. I do not care if it is original because of that.
exactly, never buy original.
Don't be obsessed with expensive products then when you have no money. It's not that hard
I don't feel bad for Louis Vuitton when their products are copied, but the video raises an important point about how the counterfeiters treat their workforce and whether they use their profits to fund other more serious crimes. It's bad enough the way factory workers that make authentic Jordans are treated; I don't want factory workers treated even worse to make fake Jordans to finance violent criminal networks.
@@oofskzy I'm glad you support knocking off the work of other artists and designers. Disgusting. If you can't afford the real thing, then just don't buy it. By buying fakes, you are supporting illegal practices and also telling the world that you worship the brand but can't actually afford it. 🤡
The problem is is that many brands have OVER INFLATED prices that drive people to buy counterfeits. If we really want to stop the issue then companies should be offering their products at reasonable prices. It's legalized price gauging.
"Reasonable prices"? It's called luxury for a reason. And you really don't have to buy luxury or wear cheap fakes if you can't afford it. There's always going to be more expensive brands and less expensive ones. Why don't you tell the housing market that their prices should be "reasonable" while you're at it? So that way everyone and their mother can own a nice home? Owning a home will no longer be desirable. Also, this is also not price gouging because nothing they are selling is a necessity. The bottom line is that counterfeits are ILLEGAL and UNETHICAL. 🤡

One of my rich neighbors collects *esluxscom* bags, but because she’s so well groomed from head-to-toe, no one would ever think her bags were fake!
Even luxury brands are getting cheap with their materials and quality. Bag collectors say theyre now collecting vintage because new bags are so cheaply made.
The issue I have is that brands like Chanel are no longer asking people to pay for the quality of their items like back in the day. I get that there is the issue of exclusivity, but there is nothing you can say to me to make me pay Eur 8000 simply to be associated with a name. Like really, who are you?!?! Give me a high quality non-designer bag any day of the week! Quite frankly, if I really fall in love with any particular Chanel design, I would go to the *esluxscom* market because I do not see the value that Chanel or many of these luxury fashion houses offer.

Knockoff brand: Just support the slave labor...
*Knock off* & *counterfeit* are 2 DIFFERENT things

Actually, some counterfeit manufacturers pay their worker very well
Designers try to get cheap labour abroad and often abuse their workers etc so it's not good to support designers either
@@aurora6920 depends on the designer! One reason I like Supreme is that all their clothes are made in Canada by workers who are paid a living wage and they try to source materials as ethically as possible I believe
Our main Chinese vendor sent everyone in my small company $1500 Supreme North Face jackets as a gift. He got them right off the line where produced in Vietnam. They were "counterfeit" purely due to licensing. As in the factory sold them on the side without the brand's consent. They were identical made with same materials by same ppl in same place as real ones. It's dumb

yeahp, this doesnt have the vice 'salt of the earth;' truth flavour, seems like its just ripping on china because no real reason, no real journalism. some weird statistics
I don't mind counterfeiters taking advantage of brands like Foreo or Supreme that were already scamming customers with bullshit.
Supreme is one of the few brands that isn't constantly made in China. All their garments are made in Canada by workers who are paid a living wage, which makes a $100 jacket or a $35 hat or $42 shirt seem pretty reasonable.
@@bendingriver7101 Kid, a scam is a scam no matter where it originates.
@@2011blueman you think that a $36 hat is a scam?
@@bendingriver7101 A supreme hat for $36? You've definitely been scammed. Even if it was real you'd still be paying over 5000% of the cost of production, but supreme hats sell for much more than $36, so odds are you were scammed even worse than if you had bought a real one.
@@2011blueman It's not a "scam" for a legit company to price an item however high or low it wants. Nobody's forcing you to buy that brand/label, and Supreme brand products aren't a staple or necessity, so it's no detriment to you. If you knew how high the cost of rent and home ownership can be in Canada, you wouldn't begrudge workers making a living wage off of locally-made products.
Why would any sane person pay 3500 euro for a bag? Or 4000 euro for a sweater? That is insane, not cool.
Because the cows and alpacas that go into that bag and sweater live better than the humans that made the bag and sweater.
So, go buy a regular bag, not a fake Prala bag made in China.
Why would someone pay €100 for a restaurant meal thinks a homeless person, it’s a question of scale a person paying €4000 for a bag is using the same % of their disposable income as the person in the restaurant
Because stupid is in high supply.
It’s their money, none of our business 🤷♀️
Even non-counterfeit goods from China have questionable safety and ethics issues. Those that are considered counterfeit are mostly the same quality of products with a lower profit margin for the manufacturer.
Thank you
Fools are the ones who spend $10,000 on a "real" bag. I have a fake Louis Vuitton doctor's bag that I purchased in Korea in 1987. I walked into Neman Marcus with it. Several employees in the handbag section couldn't believe my bag was fake. They are comparing my *esluxscom* to the "real" one and they can't see any difference. Mine cost $40, the real deal was $7500.
As a consumer, If it fake I want to know then the decision is mine to buy it or not, but I'm totally against fake products claiming that they are originals deceiving the consumer.
Leave it to france to have a museum about it
I was thinking about it too. Of course it's France who has a museum on counterfeit luxury products.
The only reason its illegal its because government doesn’t get a cut.

If companies would reduce their prices and would't be wolfs at trying to make the most money possible out of the product, this wouldn't be that of a problem. Their is difference between making a good company and not being happy with 5-10 million net profit a year. Their own greed is the cause of the problem they want to resolve.
This is what happens when you create a society obsessed with profit, consumption, and short term benefits. Materialism is promoted by the companies that wanna shut down counterfeits who do the same thing as them just more extreme.
theres always a market for social climbers
@@AjMtattoo I'm sure we could find ways to keep illegal products from being circulated without needing to convert to authoritarian communism. One way is to start holding giant e-commerce sites like Amazon and eBay responsible for the propagation of counterfeits. Amazon is actually anti-capitalist, anti-democratic in every sense as it dissolves consumer choice, rides above the law and breaks pre-existing laws; it should really be broken up and investigated by federal authorities, none of which requires that America turn into "North Korea".

Another form of illicit trade is championed by the USA. This is when the original country of origin of a product family rules that a descriptive term is generic and cannot be trademarked but the USA ignores that ruling and grants a trademark which the US grantee then uses to block the export from the original country of origin. In some cases the USA trademark includes reference to the country of origin but the USA trademark application applies to products produced in a third country that do not meet the standards required in the original country of origin.

The beauty of it is that it can't be copied. You can always enter your code and check the history of your product - where and when it was manufactured, where it was sold and etc.
The thing is, if someone in China just makes a copy of a code - it doesn't matter. If you're say in the US and blockchain data says it's still in a store or a consumer got it in Europe - you know it's fake.
if 'Luxury brands' like LV would stop selling their bags or NIKE Air jordans shoes at 10x it cost to make then counterfieters woukdn't have a market base looking for cheap knock offs

People buy these items because you make them unaffordable to second class people, people who work a normal wage. & with fashion now a days always showing the latest bags or tracksuits people that can not afford them will
Want these items too so they won’t care that it’s fake because then they feel like they can still keep up with fashion for a Little fraction of the BIG price! I’d rather pay £50 for a LV bag rather that £3,000 that I haven’t got. You can’t even notice there fake now a days. Why’s it only the rich and famous that get these luxury items but nurse working in a hospital or your man fighting in war everyday can’t! If they wasn’t sold for such stupid prices people would buy the real deal. But even if I had the money I’d still rather pay £50 for my LV bag than £3,000 lol just common sense why waste money tbh when you can have something pretty much the same for a hell of a lot less! It’s like saying a top out of primark is dangerous because it’s £5. But the top out of house of Fraser is fine because it’s £200 lol 🤣 just shop where you want and buy whatever you want who cares !
When I was young, my step father invited me to a job call that was located at an abandoned store where a company needed workers to renovate and repurpose the building. This store was your average hole in the wall market with questionable products. Yeah, everybody knew fake is bad product, but how do you know which one is fake. Sometimes they push the price of fake product the same as real one.
This is the real problem. When people can't track whether they got the real thing or not

It's still intellectual property theft to buy knockoffs of clothes and other fashion items, even if it's not dangerous to you personally. The artists who make the designs on some of these items only earn a fraction of royalties from the overall profit generated from the sale of the item, plus a lot of fast fashion clothing items have been discovered stealing designs from indie artists who make almost no money at all. It's really not fair to them that their designs get ripped off constantly, while customers continue to see IP theft as a victimless crime.

@@Rewelsworld Or just, you know, not buy a designer hoodie at all... when you buy "for the factory worker", you're typically buying a black market item that was stolen. I agree, it's also horrendously silly to spend a high amount of money on a hoodie, but why not buy from thrift stores? It keeps down textile waste and gives money to local businesses when people buy second-hand clothes. Etsy has some great used hoodies with cool designs and logos on them, and they're sold by students and small businesses.
The blame is on you, people. You know you're not likely getting the real thing since the price is so low, but you took the risk in exchange for cheaper price. I don't judge, but don't complain to the manufacturer when your stuff is on fire, or leaving comments like "made in xxx is sh*t!".

Some super fancy brands dont get counterfeited at all??
Well its good and cheap if you buy counterfeit clothes, bags, watches, shoes etc as it helps poor people and all but not counterfeit cosmetics, meds, foods, electronics etc which can harm you personally. Also many big brands and company priced their products unusually high and exploit their labors just to make profit.
That's probably the most selfish and ignorant comment I've ever read. You don't seriously believe that buying counterfeits is good for "poor people" so long as it doesn't harm you personally, do you? They've connected the so-called "harmless" counterfeits, like bags and shoes, with organized crime groups and street gangs, none of which help the poor. They exploit the poor just as much as big corporations. Only difference is they cut out the middle man.
The brands which make products with a fraction of the price tags and selling it at higher rates are obviously making people lore into counterfeits.
Don't be obsessed with expensive products then when you have no money. It's not that hard
