- Well since I have decided to retire this car might as well tell you guys what was This Video covers the entire car from front to back it goes into detail with suspension interior components accessories and the overall purpose of the build to go fast on pump gas. Not just talk about it!!!!!!

This car has had many many faces I have owned it for 10 years by now this is old footage from last year the car is no longer in race mold it is retired and will not be at the track again
Without that out of the way enjoy the future this car was built with a lot of sweat love tears and he has a huge emotional Attachment to me and my family. The car is not going to disappear.
I am trusting a transition mode where I need to better myself better my future and putting the stuff to the side is going to let me focus on the next phase of my life

California is just magic..where I live, that car would have fully dissolved into dust decades ago👍. We don’t get that cool looking Patina here on the gulf coast of the southeastern US, we get full on RUST. DESTRUCTION.

I absolutely just LOVE Broomhilda in her original paint. You have put so much more into your Bug that you explained, you’re very modest. Your attention to detail in all the components that you’ve selected are what make you car so special. You’ve definitely done your research and homework. Just looking at your Bug I can see that you’ve put your heart and soul into Broomhilda, it shows. My last bug , an early 64 , like yours was a mix of parts from different year cars. 58 pan, 65 trans, late built dual port and a rag top from a 1960. Put so many aftermarket and vintage original performance parts. Wish I lived in California, lost lots of cars to rust. Thank you so much for sharing ! ❤

Man this makes me regret selling my 63 notchback. Only good thing is that I sold it back to the guy I bought it from so its now back in SoCal. Its in the SD area so be on the look out he is probably going to get it back on the streets soon. That shroud is sick, love the car! Keep on taking the win lights!

I have lucked out and got a short block from a late friend , he has passed on but was lucky enough to win a bid on some of his builds , this one I think is a 2387 just by all the measurements me and another friend took . Where I live in Alabama there is nobody really to help me out with it . Wished we had the resources you have bro . Thanks for video.

I just bought a 69 Ghia with a Subaru EJ25 with 165HP... and it's hella fun. Can't imagen having another 100hp on top of that, but who knows, may have to add a turbo to it this winter.

Man watching these videos has made me go VW crazy.When i was a kid my dad owned a type 3 squareback and as much as it may have been one of the slowest cars running around the streets i always had big dreams for it . Then he sold it :( .Still im planning to get a beetle again in my older years . Loving the Cal style bugs and watching your building skills and vids has even turned me away from the turbo engines and going for normally aspirated much cleaner and i like seeing the revs up there . All the best vid your production Australia hear tuning in .

The aspirated set ups are. So much nicer and can produce good power the car is already light and efficient with traction
@@volkstroke Yeah you have definitely saved me there i have had turbo cars before though from what i have seen on an old vw engine its better doing it N/A plus its more response down low looks neater over all and I can run 91 octane pump fuel .

Back in 1980, i bought a 63 Baha bug for $400, with 17000 original miles... big tires and all. Very clean car.
Built a 1600 with a cam and a holly 2 bbl. Put the same looking short throw shifter that's in your car.
Had some fun in that car, I do miss it.... at times. Would mind having a bug to tinker on.
BTW...Your car looks really fun. Almost a sleeper, almost.

I had some different bugs when I was younger and recently bought a 63 baja, I'm 59 now and driving it makes me feel like a kid again!
You're car is perfect the way it is.
I never really liked a baja but its easy to work on.
I had a guy build a 2110 with some OK stuff in it for now but im trying to talk a friend into selling me a 57 he has sitting in a field. It would look a lot like yours if I can get it so wish me luck!

the power pulleys are ok for high revving engines even on the freeway. if you have your engine setup to run high RPM it wont run hot. The thing to know is if your running too much RPM and you have a stock pully it will build fan pressure. and that will cause your engine to run hot. Making the engine run with that pressure will make it run hot. Your engine also has all that air with the deck lid open and air coming from underneath. it is like a Baja bug which they never run hot.

Wondering what pistons rods and crank your running. My guess your have wiseco or JE pistons, Carrillo rods, Porsche journals. Heads I have no idea. Could be the huge port CB performance ones 44/37. I dont know what they are called. Was that a Mendiola Trans? was that a 7k launch. and 8k shift. sounded like it.
