Anyone else always feel completely terrible when they're playing against someone who's at risk of demotion? I tend to just beat them anyway, but I always feel like an asshole doing it.
Michael Moschella no i mostly dont because I'm just playing against that one Katarina player.. he is brawler and has 1400wins on her. he is just spamming like 3 or 4 Moves. he kills me everytime
tl;dr Aris is a Bitch-Made- Ninja for hating on DOA all the time. #predictable DOA players used to categorize DOA4 as "2.5D" as the sidestepping component was not as utilized as it is now in DOA5LR. I think as a 3D fighter, obviously it's lacking sprites and but still is 3D in presentation, but the 3D component is mostly having to due with the environment in the stages. Slippery surfaces such as water on the ground or being in a house with a ceiling changes properties. Some stages have dangerzones like Tigers running through the map. Some moves track and some moves are sidestepable. I think Aris is a Bitch-Made Ninja for shitting on DOA all the time, but I think it's understandable. That's where he comes from and that's how I was too to a certain extent with games growing up. Anything you and your friends didn't play was simply trash. The thing is though, Aris says you should play other games, but DOA I guess is the exception. I agree with playing other games too, that's why I'm giving another shot at a Tekken game. Unfortunately, we can't sink our time into everything though. It's funny, the low parry in Tekken functions basically how counters function in DOA, but they are toaly kawaii, yet DOA's counters are gay. DOA has come along as way and now it's better than it ever has before. It's even back in Japanese arcades. In general it's done a lot of things that no one appreciates. I hope that answers your question. I'm not sure about how the "3D" part is compared to Tekken though specifically. All I know is walls do more damage (like DOA) and moves can be sidestepped at times and that some characters might have a weaker side? Due to the limb system of Tekken. Other than that, I'm not sure as I'm a Tekken newb at the moment.
Yeah Showtime well I just know you as a big DOA player. I actually saw you playing with seikenpaladin a while ago on ps4. just wanted your opinion on the statement Aris Made about DOA. But Yeah I like DOA, I played tekken mostly as a kid and casually so for me its also pretty new. I just know that some moves have to be sidestepped left and others right. And some other basic principles but those apply to other fighting games as well.
I'm not gonna hate on Tekken. I think it's fun. I think it's a harder game to press buttons than DOA is, but at the same time I think a lot of its difficulty comes from the fact that they do a pretty shitty job teaching their players how to play the game properly, so it's harder to learn for no reason. I feel like I can do mostly any combo in DOA with pretty good accuracy, but I definitely get bodied trying to do some combos in Tekken.
muttonmasher In terms of how hard King is to play, he's easier than other characters such as Lee, Hwoarang, and Sergei, but harder than some of the other characters. To do most of his combos is pretty easy, but to optimize all of his killer moves and grapples/throws in gameplay is a different story.
misfiteando B1 (counter hit) df+4 3 df+2 1 into running 2+4 but that's not the best combo, A better one is B1 on counter hit, F+3 Df+4 3. 1 (jab) df+2 1 into running 2+4. If you need help on the notation's let me know
The inputs for that combo are: CH b+1, f+3, d/f+4, 3, d/f+2, 1, iWR 2+4 CH is counter hit. iWR is "instant while-running", you should look that up if you don't know how to do it. Aris doesn't do that second f+3 in the video, but as far as I know there's no reason not to do it.
misfiteando If you're trying to counter hit in practice just use 1+2+3+4 for Ki charge and that'll give you a free counter hit, As for the throw, Just don't rush, Try and take your time running and when you get to the opponent hit 2+4
21:34 that was so hilarious, since a guy in the chat was betting that Aris won't RDC this player for 20 bucks. So hard to tell whether Aris read that or not.
When do you techroll kings gs? It's stupid for me to ask as a somewhat veteran player, but you could mash it in earlier tekken titles and now it's as precise as a.kings gs techroll. Or can you still spam it?
Between the time where you are the highest in the air and when you hit the ground, just mash. I use one finger and just go around in circles on the attack buttons. I do it how best tier indian explained it on stream one day. It's still a big window to tech.
That fuckin 50$ donation and the heartfelt message @ 6:05 empowered Aris to fuckin body that man with a perfect into a demotion like it was nothing holy fuck
Sucks Armor King isn't in the latest installment, but it's cool they gave King some of his moves as well as the option to equip his armor and mask if I'm not mistaken?
Ur Dad That's what I heard, I don't have the game but it sounds logical, Tekken 5 had Armor Kings mask as an option for King in the customization menu.
I can't perform the rolling death cradle so I have to settle for 104 and 103 grapple combos like the piledriver. Can't do the corkscrew either even with buffering. Not losing out on too much damage but it still kinda hurts my pride. Anyone have some advice for that?
Afanasii Kamenkoi biggest thing that helped my consistency was turning on input display while trying it in training. I "could have swore I was hitting 2 buttons at once" but sometimes I was getting one button before the other. The first extension is a cake walk with buffering, but that infamous rdc motion requires more precision
right on, another thing that helped me was having my last input during chicken wing face lock for RDC happen right as the snap is occurring. Aris goes over some of this in "Tekken 7 Tips For Intermediates - How to Do King's Rolling Death Cradle: Applied Button Buffering" but really practicing the sequence and using input display to get the cleanest most timely inputs possible is what made my success rate skyrocket. Good luck breaking jabronies
Guys please help me. I'm getting owned by the people pressing random buttons constantly. I get stuck in a 'hold back' situation as I slowly lose the round. If they are constantly coming at me with buttons what's my best bet? Do I try and duck? Sidestep? Even with Josie's f,1+2 I can't punish most of their strings.
Upload a match and I'll critique it. Otherwise my best suggestion is to watch other Josie players on UA-cam. Search "T7fr Josie " and find gameplay from Asian Josie players.Question and then copy their move usage and combos.
just chuck out a couple down 2's now and then and try to take rhythm back. also if you're not sure about how to punish you have to rely on your fastest punish (1, 2 in some cases, i don't know if josie has a better jab string)
I needed a break from all these fighting games, so I started playing this awesome third-person shooter where you shoot magical balls at your opponent to win. Have you heard of it? It's called Street Fighter.
Big fan of Maxi, now I'm a fan of yours. Your King is much cleaner than mine even though I consider myself a decent King. Hope to see you two play against one another at some point! Also curious to know what stick you are using?
They need to release another patch. It takes forever to get a ranked match still and the opponents connection is always wrong. Like they always show up blue or green when you accept, and during the match it's yellow the whole time.
@aris you are a blessing. look asuka is my main. I've experimented with moves after the double lift kicks. I ask you after d+3,4 what is the easiest way to input ff1,3 I think it is. it may be 2,4 But please help

This awful combo at 12:24 cracked me up and had me rolling for no reason what so ever. I guess it's just what you said to cope with it made it funny lol.
hey man, enjoy the videos. as a fellow king player to another, should the enemy have their back to you +1+2 will give you muscle buster or an Argentina stretch if you catch them mid turn. does heavy damage and executes quick. keep making videos.
PS4 player, you're making the right decision. PS4 matchmaking is garbage currently. However, keep in mind that you'll be missing out on exclusive shit in case that's a big factor for you. Sorry I can't help with the PC question though, still trying to figure out that kind of stuff myself. Good luck.
Honestly it's practice. Think of it as simply doing a half circle forward, but you have to press forward first, then quickly slide to back, and do the half circle forward motion as if it were SF.
I still haven't tested it out myself since i had no idea the throw could be tech-rolled before this video. That throw does do damage in two parts tho, first the throw and then again when you hit the ground. Aris makes it sound like you can avoid the second part of the damage by rolling, which is very likely.
J- RED tip, if you're on PC it should be easy, but if you're on console, set the shoulder buttons to 1+2, 2+4, 1+3, 3+4. It doesn't matter what order or what combinations you set to what button, that's up to your preference.
Mahtan Amandil For king it isn't, I'd suggest uf+4 df+4 3 1 (jab) then df+2 1 (screw attack) then run up then 2+4 (shining wizard) There is a better combo but that's a basic one you can use
"I can't tell how dangerous he is, he has no shoes on. I dont like that."
Maybe it's Feet.

says he's gonna hit RDC.
hits with the RDC.
love it.
Something about hearing Aris tap out RDC brings comfort to my ears.
Saaaaammmmeeeeee
i realize I am kinda randomly asking but do anybody know a good site to stream newly released tv shows online?
@Stephen Brian flixportal =)
@Kason Trevor Thank you, I went there and it seems like a nice service =) Appreciate it!!
@Stephen Brian you are welcome :)
the way Nina's bride dress gets tattered is a great touch. Good job Namco!
Shaheen's turban, and the hoodies of Steve and Jin also get removed when they get hit too much.
Lmao why that person just go at Rickstah like that off the jump tho?😂😂😂😂😂
-Sir WESLEE- probably thought Aris would laugh, what a lame
Anyone else always feel completely terrible when they're playing against someone who's at risk of demotion? I tend to just beat them anyway, but I always feel like an asshole doing it.
Michael Moschella lol.
Michael Moschella it's even more reason to win via bullshit then winquit
Michael Moschella thought I was the only one haha
Sometimes... but not if I'm on a bad streak, and especially if I've been demoted that day.
Michael Moschella no i mostly dont because I'm just playing against that one Katarina player..
he is brawler and has 1400wins on her.
he is just spamming like 3 or 4 Moves.
he kills me everytime
Props to the editor for editing the stream and putting only the fights.Great work
"oh you!,he he he he"..
You like Cheetah, huh? Cool. lol
awkward bartender Thank you!*
36:10
Alright, I have never seen King do that before. lol
i did the other day and was like: wtf did I just do.
Gadrick Knight to put it simply it's back, back, up+back, or ⬅️⬅️↖️, (when facing right) while your back is to the wall.
On the wall it's b,b,up right
"Combo City huh? You're the mayor?" I don't know why that made me laugh so hard but it did 😂
why does it feel like every video is 2 minutes when its always 30+
Hunter Because Tekken is Life
"He wasnt happy about that RDC, I dont blame him, Im not happy right now, fuck" I died laughing at this.
love watching King
I learn a lot from it as a King player myself. It's still hype as fuck.
What do you think about Aris saying DOA is not really a 3D fighting game. (at least he's not into it).
tl;dr Aris is a Bitch-Made- Ninja for hating on DOA all the time. #predictable

I pretty much live for these videos
pretty sad
I love how he shits on the people who donate. I've never seen that haha
I like how at 32:40 hes talking and then he tells himself to shush hahaha
"not that good of a combo"
I'd shit my pants if I ever did more than a 2-hit combo
Rickstah: Ordinary Guy
Every gamer looks like a rapist, including Aris.
7:20 “Alright, Combo City huh? You’re the mayor?” Lold
"I can't tell how dangerous he is, he's got no shoes on"
you always make me laugh, you'e funny, honest & very chill.
I fee like people don't know how to break out of King's throws
how do you break free from king's throws?
n64central im positive they dont
n64central I don't
I struggle a ton with breaking King's grabs.
They shouldn't know.
king is easily the most hype character in tekken, i dont care how easy he is its still fun as fuck to watch people get scooped
He's not easy.
muttonmasher he's definitely not easy.
People think King is easy? Well he's not easy to play well I'll say that.
been playing king since tekken tag 1 and I'm triggered cause hes not easy, but the evolution of king is amazing
muttonmasher In terms of how hard King is to play, he's easier than other characters such as Lee, Hwoarang, and Sergei, but harder than some of the other characters. 36:33 who's cooler between... who was he going to say?
Over a year later and no answer :(
Over 2 years later and no answer :(
Holy shit Aris' King is nice!
I couldnt find any. aspiring king player, do you have any plans of a beginner to intermediate need to know video for him?
Athanasios Meletis king jae did one ...
Aris has a King guide lmao, it's from TTT2 but still super relevant
Oh sweet thanks!
I do love the way how you play as king. Keep it up mate.
Please, how do I do the launch combo into grab that he does at 1:05 ?
after shes hit he did fd4,4 fd3,3 then fff1+3 or 2+4 forgot which one
misfiteando B1 (counter hit) df+4 3 df+2 1 into running 2+4 but that's not the best combo, A better one is B1 on counter hit, F+3 Df+4 3. 1 (jab) df+2 1 into running 2+4. If you need help on the notation's let me know

Aris doesn't do that second f+3 in the video, but as far as I know there's no reason not to do it.
Thx a lot! I got the notations clear by now :P
Edit: I can't get the counter hit and the grab consistently
misfiteando If you're trying to counter hit in practice just use 1+2+3+4 for Ki charge and that'll give you a free counter hit, As for the throw, Just don't rush, Try and take your time running and when you get to the opponent hit 2+4

Why doessn't Aris or any other good King player use 1+2, 3(brutal sting) as a screw? It does more damage and is easier.
That fuckin 50$ donation and the heartfelt message @ 6:05 empowered Aris to fuckin body that man with a perfect into a demotion like it was nothing holy fuck
I love watching him play King!
Get 'em Agrid !
Cosmons Verga lol
I've Always wondered how to tech the Cesaro swing? I normally just distance king players when I play Katarina.
Combo at 30:28 left me speechless
Sucks Armor King isn't in the latest installment, but it's cool they gave King some of his moves as well as the option to equip his armor and mask if I'm not mistaken?
Rudy Rodriguez what?! you can get armor kings shit on king?!
Ur Dad That's what I heard, I don't have the game but it sounds logical, Tekken 5 had Armor Kings mask as an option for King in the customization menu.

Just found out today that Hagrid plays Tekken. That's amazing!
For those distances where no player moves in for an attack is there any reason for the directions the players seem to always be moving around in?
Man this guy should be in comedy movies he's so funny
I've seen the movie too, but what does he mean by referrencin bullock and stalone?
Anyone else notice how fucking hard it is to watch her characters hands with that panda hat swinging everywhere?
How are you hitting with King's jump kick on downed opponents so often? Are you hitting them meaty on their wakeup kicks?
can someone tell me how he did that move at 5:43 when he jumps off the wall?
Guys please help me. I'm getting owned by the people pressing random buttons constantly. I get stuck in a 'hold back' situation as I slowly lose the round.
If they are constantly coming at me with buttons what's my best bet?
Do I try and duck? Sidestep?
Even with Josie's f,1+2 I can't punish most of their strings.
Kreddi parry?
Upload a match and I'll critique it. Otherwise my best suggestion is to watch other Josie players on UA-cam. Search "T7fr Josie " and find gameplay from Asian Josie players.Question and then copy their move usage and combos.
Kreddi sidestep, duck, parry
Kreddi Dick jab
just chuck out a couple down 2's now and then and try to take rhythm back. also if you're not sure about how to punish you have to rely on your fastest punish (1, 2 in some cases, i don't know if josie has a better jab string)

Also curious to know what stick you are using?
Aris, Im stealing the corpse hop after tomahawk into back kick stunner
Nice vid.
What kind of sitck are you using? I'm finding it hard to track down a good arcade stick for PC.
Bucky Abramovsky he's said in the past he's using a qanba obsidian, but he's switched to an older stick recently due to personal preference.
I would appreciate if someone told me how do you do this King combo? damn I been searching for days
Please can you do a video on King's ground grabs. I am struggling
Whats the input for kings armored/ invincible move? The one where he ramms his enemy with his shoulder
Sodiepops foward 2+3
so how do you tech roll? just press < or > when landing??
am i the only one not having issues on ps4?
Dillon Hurring No, I can't sustain a stable connection either.
They need to release another patch. It takes forever to get a ranked match still and the opponents connection is always wrong. Like they always show up blue or green when you accept, and during the match it's yellow the whole time.
I'm having no problems on my Pc copy of the game. Could just be a console thing I guess.
Its fuckin ass
After you said "how am I supposed to concentrate, you can see the whole teet" I subscribed
@aris you are a blessing. look asuka is my main. I've experimented with moves after the double lift kicks. I ask you after d+3,4 what is the easiest way to input ff1,3 I think it is. it may be 2,4 But please help
hiram hankins nigga it's not him running his UA-cam he answers questions when streaming
Sapphires Visor the question is posted for anyone who can answer it... smh
How does one tech roll King's swing? Is it press the direction or a button upon landing?
ik this is a year ago & you likely know by now but on the off-chance someone else doesn't, It's 1 or 2 as you're about to hit the ground. Mashing 1 and 2 works evertime for me lol
U deserve more subscribers
At 5:43 how did Aris do that move?
Isa Shallow When facing to the right and back to the wall you use this command :
⬅⬅↖
Well, I think that's it.
what does he mean when he keeps mentioning Sandra Bullock ?
This awful combo at 12:24 cracked me up and had me rolling for no reason what so ever. I guess it's just what you said to cope with it made it funny lol.
did he just say that the armor move isn't tournament legal? did I hear that right?
XxSaberBladexX either that or the distracting nina costume
When you play online on Windows, do you play online for free or do you have to pay to play online?
Dustin Nunn it's on steam and it's free to play online
practicing dragunov, got tips? first time tekken player, can do BnB combos now tho
I haven't played Yoshimitsu since 4, so many SWORD moves, I remember when he would never use that thing
how did he cilmp the wall 5:41
8:25 I'm not happy right now... The fuck?
LMAO
hey man, enjoy the videos. as a fellow king player to another, should the enemy have their back to you +1+2 will give you muscle buster or an Argentina
stretch if you catch them mid turn. does heavy damage and executes quick. keep making videos.
Aris is such a good sport.
36:30 When Aris is talking but tells himself to shut the fuck up LMAO
Another noob question. How does he make d/f+1 look seemless and instant? almost no crouch animation
Tap together.
Df1
Whats the halo do other than not let you get hit after the ko?
What kind of question is that?
A simple one that you couldnt manage to answer.
Nothing. Just cosmetic. No item move.
How is it that your online works, but mine doesn't. Even though all other online games work fine?
I miss Aris playing tekkun *sadface*
How did he not get the $20 death cradle joke?
Noob question here, how to move and sidestep without constantly jumping nor crouching ?
just tap the analog or d pad up or down don't hold it
Tap up, then hold it
^^
i think that's the only thing, for me, that is harder in stick than pad. i can't sidestep up very easliy, i need to practice that. damn tekken sucks.
double tap and hold.
How does he jump-dive with King using the wall?
How did u jump from wall? That's Amazing.
cool man i like your style
What's a good gaming Laptop around $600 for this game, I refuse to get a PS4 cause of the lag & horrible connection & dropped matches.
PS4 player, you're making the right decision. PS4 matchmaking is garbage currently. However, keep in mind that you'll be missing out on exclusive shit in case that's a big factor for you. Sorry I can't help with the PC question though, still trying to figure out that kind of stuff myself. Good luck.
I'd recommend a quad core cpu from latest gen. And atleast a 1050ti or something better.
Can you buffer up arm breaker?
dude how u do dat slam Tha twisted
how does he do kings spinning throw so fast ? any tips would be great
HasanView Are you talking about giant swing? The one that is forward, hcf, LP?
yes giant swing, i forgot the name
Honestly it's practice. Think of it as simply doing a half circle forward, but you have to press forward first, then quickly slide to back, and do the half circle forward motion as if it were SF.
i see, thanks for the tip
Aris' King is godlike, I hope we see him take it to a tournament sometime.
What is the wall throw at 37:30?
ilikeanime24222
Shining Wizard
How do you tech roll?
What's with this Sandra Bullock thing? Why does he keep saying "he's trying to turn me into Sandra Bullock". What's the movie??
Cla_Disney demolition man
Thank you! Gonna watch it :)
I really love your beard, dude.
So um... How do you tech-roll?
What is that even? Pushing something exactly when hitting the ground?
Press 1 (square) as you hit the ground to tech-roll to background if i'm not completely mistaken. Or d,1 if you wanna roll to foreground.
But I mean, does that make you take less damage somehow??
I still haven't tested it out myself since i had no idea the throw could be tech-rolled before this video. That throw does do damage in two parts tho, first the throw and then again when you hit the ground. Aris makes it sound like you can avoid the second part of the damage by rolling, which is very likely.
"I've been playing this 3rd person shooter lately, it's called Injustice 2"
holy shit, that was the first time I've seen a RDC and God damn
which character u like the most ?
3:17 he does that so mutch i always have to laugh xDD
Hey can you make a tutorial on how to do the rdc? Because the rolling is quite hard to perfect
J- RED tip, if you're on PC it should be easy, but if you're on console, set the shoulder buttons to 1+2, 2+4, 1+3, 3+4. It doesn't matter what order or what combinations you set to what button, that's up to your preference.
Hey is there any Alisa players high ranked?
Oh and 28:34 for the "manjornoes"
If your b4 connects go for a moonsault brew.
Just asking but is u/f+4, 1, 2, b+4, 1+4 a true combo? It's very easy to do and is 60 dmg if oponent stay on ground and 70 if oponent get up.
Mahtan Amandil For king it isn't, I'd suggest uf+4 df+4 3 1 (jab) then df+2 1 (screw attack) then run up then 2+4 (shining wizard) There is a better combo but that's a basic one you can use
Fenix Hezekiah Thnx, I have looked up combos for king but got that question because I have used it since tekken 3 and iy aways hit, vs cpu and people.
I see, But vs better players they can probably tech roll it and get a free hit on you :)
"Wow, that hits on the ground!?
