All construction sites need those batteries! I didn’t realize how long they lasted, 7 hours is plenty for work like that.
Yeah but how long does it take to charge. Construction sights can’t wait around for a battery to charge.
Well from what I have learned about them, the charging time differs depending on how you charge it. Also on a sunny day like they had, if they needed it to run other stuff besides the lights I believe you can connect the solar panels once the sun comes up and charge it while you use it. The downside is you have to look at how many life cycles the product has.
@@VanlifeRealityplus all the radiation 😂. I rather hear and smell the gas one😂
@@That_red_7.3 radiation? What are you talking about?
@@VanlifeReality he said in the video I think 45min to get 80%
Month 5 is going to be good!!
it looks like your brand new house is slowly starting to be put together! Great Job on making this video Dan!👍
The “Thanks” animation was spot on.
I allways wonder how a house with all of these woodframes and walls can cost millions of $?
For me as someone from Europe it looks allways so scatchy and unexpensive.
I mean if a fire breaks out they can be burned in minutes or am I wrong?
You are right.
Houses built in the 1900’s are better built than the multi million dollar mansions of today.
I also wonder why they have wood and cardboard houses.
Have they hard of brick walls or concrete walls its hilarious
Certain areas do have those in the US every state kinda has a different primary material based on weather insulation and so on. Like Utah has a lot of brick and concrete houses@@modelwhhyyy
In Florida all houses (at least the first floor) are concrete and are super secure. I couldn't live comfortably live in a wood frame house being used to block.
I love the progress videos, Dan! I’m looking forward to the next update. Before you know it, you'll be moving in!
It is crazy how fast this is coming together! I'm hyped to see the final product!
The progress is progressing
Love the new house design
LOVE THE PROGRESS! It's going to be beautiful!
🙋♂️THANKS DAN FOR SHARING THIS…WE HAVE LOVED ❤️ HOME-BUILDING SINCE CHILDHOOD ( born in 1950 )🤗
YOUR NEIGHBORS HAVE TO LOVE YOU FOR DEMONSTRATING THE EGO-FLOW AND CONTRACTORS TOO ( KEEPING NEIGHBORS HAPPY AND SAVING A TON OF MONEY 💰💚💚💚
*If they are charging you $25,000 for that small slide I can't imagine how much they are charging you for the entire house!*
*Those prices are ridiculous. I can't believe people are willing to pay that much for $500 worth of plastic.*
You're the BEST!!!! Keep on Going
Nice video about your home construction. Excited to hear more about the green technology that is going inside and outside...
Awesome Dan glad to see it coming together! We are getting ready to build a new house as well! I plan to have a whole room just for diecast cars!
Hi Dan, this video showed the slab being poured and not the foundation.
Having watched the full build of the home you live now, I plan to follow the new home build to completely finished 🌟
I’ve enjoyed the intentional process of each video of the progress of your home. It makes me want to step back into construction!
Congrats! I am loving this series you are making.
His old house looks just like your old one! Even the view in the garden 😂
The house looks great
super excited!!
Love the progress and the outlook. You said in the 1st video for this house, you aren't going to miss randoms knowing where you live and knocking on your door. After watching this video, it literally took me 4 minutes to know exactly where you are building. And I'm on the other side of the world. Secret is safe. Don't worry. Can't wait for the next videos. Cheers
You're very creepy.
love your videos dan! We miss Lincoln
*Dan Know is the time for you to have a "Home Generator" hooked up to your new home* .
I can't wait until your home is being built.
Thank Johnathan for letting us , check out these beautiful homes .
Let's goooooooo month four
The Red Cliff Temple is beautiful!
I think it’s cool how houses are built, I have always been interested in this kind of profession.
I love you’re house videos!
Wow the house is beautiful ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤love you guys ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
At first i did not look like a house
Love to see the temple in the drone shot, also love how close you live to it!! But seeing the temple at night is such a blessing 🥰
I don't think it was the smartest choice to show the temple since it can easily be found
@@theflash9068 Yeah but he is in a new neighbourhood which is protected by fences and security, he mentioned this in the first month i believe. And tbh he had people just come knocking on his old house too, so if anything it should be better now
@@TruckerMando but the temple is accessible right?
I am surprised you don't have a security camera or two for progress and time lapse purposes. It would be a cool video. Some construction projects have them
Outdoor kitchen rough-ins!!
Please get unifi for your wifi! It will be perfect for your house!!
To the guy who delivered the windows I salute you! I do the same thing and it ain’t easy carrying those lol
It’s interesting how different parts of the country build houses so differently. In the Midwest they would have radiant in floor heating and a insulated slab. Surprised you didn’t at least put a vapor barrier under the concrete. Also in the Midwest they use a lot of zip sheathing where in Utah they just use OBS sheathing
Here in the first 10 mins! Love your videos
18:07 that's not a room, that's a whole barn !
The view at 11:44 kind of looks like Cape Town, South Africa
As a European I can’t comprehend the size of the house
That last house you showed is ridiculously massive lol. I hope the family has like 6-10 people living in it😂
Great update
Yea a gas generator is $3000 but you can constantly fuel it whenever there’s a power outage. While a portable battery cant be charged whenever there’s a power outage🤷🏽♂️
Solar
Hook up some solar panels to it
how you going fuel a gas generator with the power out? use a fuel pump? LOL they need power to work
Lol he had full tesla solar in his old home
@@Smarthomelawyer i have solar as well but not that many people have solar to begin with
No vapor barrier under the slab? Or any rigid foam insulation?
Don't need vapor barier here in the desert. Less than 1% of the homes do a vapor barrier here.
So I have a good question are you planning on doing something like Home assistant in the house to be able to do different automations in the house and also conserve power in the house?
Don’t forget when you had that one person show you the windows that can go from clear to frosted with the flip of a switch- and you said if you ever built another home you would incorporate those- I’m sure you remember but wanted to mention it!
Did you already sell your previous house?
Yes I want that!
Check out Waterstone for fixtures, next level design!
Lovely area to live.
Do you not need plastic sheet under the slab to stop water vapour coming through the slab? I guess the grounds pretty dry in Texas.
I hope Kohler works with you. I really liked all the new fixtures they put in your last house
I would love to see your efforts for Sound proofing
What if the plumbing leaks underground ?
Also will u also get generators for your new house build??
One of the few UA-camrs who will do a brand deal and I'm like "yes Dan, get your bag"!!
Just stumbled on your videos. Love some of your choices with the tech. Especially the robot vac. Cause my first concern was if the dog had an accident indoor. We all have seen a robot vac drag it all around the house.
The vacuum we use has AI built into it and cameras to recognize dog doodoo and it avoids it.
So cool
First time I've seen no vapor barrier put down before pour. Guess its different there.
Now just imagine a 'battery fire' while your car burns and so does the generator.
Wow. That slab is huge. Your house is going to be ? 20k sq ft
Hi, in a previous home, you use some fusebox that Could be controlled with an app. Could you give some Info on those equipments?
Mostpipe sand is PM64 fyi
Awesome video. Does he build in Texas
22sec ago is crazy
Gas smells amazing
@0:59, what size of piping is used? I'm from Belgium and was wondering what size you use for piping under the concrete slab. In Belgium everything under the concrete slab would be 4,3" (110mm).
I dont even notice a month goes by until he posts
I can imagine some Murhy Doors in this new home 🏠
The size of this house is crazy when you life in Europe
Didn't think you wanted a pool as you said it hardly got used in the old house
It drives me crazy to see that the house doesn't have a solid foundation. Is that normal?
Why would you turn off his music and truck
Facts
Why is Month 4 out so quick?? Definitely not complaining tho love the vids
Awesome videos sorry I’m soooo late
Why you guys don't go for the brick / pillars concrete slab homes
YO THAT WAS SMOOTH, 4:22
that was not smooth 🤣
Congrats on the build. Id love to see it on the Parade of Homes in 2025
Hi Dan
Will u also have purple mattress and pillows?? Because I have both because of u / video!!
i would really love it if someone could explain to me the differences in the structural design of wooden frame homes in the us compared to the rest of the world where we build using reinforced concrete and bricks . I am actually curious about weither you guys hire engineers to do designate where everything should go and weither the maximum load the home can handle is similar as something made out of concrete.....
also do us regulations allow the building of none wooden framed homes or is illegal ?
guess you don't get much of a frost/freeze there with that foundation
Beautiful spot near the temple!
Just seems like soo much wasted space in that house you look around at the end
not YOUR house is it? But more importantly, you're not paying for it.
@@Ela-cw7fiit was an opinion…people are still aloud to have those, ya know?
What 🤯🤯🤯🤯
I’m sure the architects knew exactly what they were doing.
Still a investment at the end of the day. Go big or go home
4:38 - 4:39 when he point his finger towards the open circuit my head goes 🤯. Wait don't poke here and there without safety 🛟🦺.
Geez
Those Honda generators are very quiet
Jonathan’s house looks exactly like your old, even with the pool.
The gas generator and the eco flow battery is the same price
How much does that eco flow costs?
Don’t rush it. That is how big mistakes happen.
Use a honda inverter super quiet
the house at the end is made of wood???? Have you never heard of the big bad wolf???
LOL. The majority of American houses are wood.
@@djplonghead5403 no wonder they all blow away in tornados
Is this Utah or Arizona? I’m new to the channel
I thought they put the pipes in before the footer is poured.
Rather smell the gas and hear the gas generator then get a ton of radiation in my head😂
Month 4 already it's month 3.5
3k for the generator but how much for the eco flow
3.6k its actually more expensive xd
need to make a what’s inside golf channel
Weren’t you planning to buy a plot and build a house right beside your builder’s new house?
Much better sunglasses
Gas generator=$3k electric generator=3k. Refill time 1min. Recharge time to 100% 1:30hrs
Hes gonna yse solar to recharge and use energy storage like tesla power storage. My friend can live several days just relying on tesla power storage. And alot cheaper bc ur using the sun
With all the talk of privacy in the beginning of this plan, it's kind of wild that you''ve shown so many aerial shots of your neighborhood with prominent landmarks. Anyone can find your house?
why no basement?
