To be fair, no one in the tourney was on Humphries level so you knew it was obvious that England was winning

I love Michael Smith. When he is feeling it, I think he’s the best player in the world. But if I could choose any player to be my partner in a WC, it’d be Humphries. So consistent, so reliable, so brilliant.
Meh I’d rather Littler over Humphries. But of course their not gonna have littler & Humphries be a team

Ireland lost to Taiwan, they won Taiwan.
Wales lost to Croatia, they won Croatia.
Netherlands lost to Belgium, they wiped the floor with them after the break.
Even in final they had couple early chances and could go 6-5 or even 7-4 up. Luke really shined in clutch.
What I really love about WC is performances from guys that you won't see often in majors. Italy, Croatia, Austria, Taiwan, Sweden. Some good piece of action we witnessed =)

@@Adam-zh4hm I know it's done by ranking and no offence to Michael Smith but this was the only game where he looked as if he actually put effort in to win a cup for his home nation, Smith just looked sloppy when he was paired with Rob Cross and as a Cross fan, i can say last year Cross didn't look ready to play for his our nation

Whoever said Humphries and Smith would not work well together is looking real foolish right now. They delivered big time. Luke is not World Number 1 for nothing. 4 ton plus checkouts. That’s his strength right there. Well done, England. Curse has been lifted.
Credit to Austria too tbf. They did very well to get this far. Certainly put Dimitri in his place in that semi final- he’s really becoming very unlikeable btw… I dunno what’s going on with him. But whatever.
Becoming unlikeable? He has never been liked. Not a very good sportsman.
Like Mike said, he wasn't at his best, but when needed, Luke cleared everything off.

Their first match wasn't all that excellent, averaging "only" 86 points per three darts. But starting from the quarterfinal, there was no doubt.

Their fans and bands proved such in Germany that they were already been voted best most joyous singing fans at Euros and Bg pipe bands best Germans have witnessed tking pics and mesmerised by March of the Tartn Army in Germany even the German mayor wanted Scotland to go further as she along with German police and people all were Mesmerised by the Scottish fans and bagpipes bands Wow what a Scene the Scottish give out .
