    What wok u are using? Because it does not stick and burn the sambal at all

      Hi Jennifer How. It's La Gourmet wok. Very nice to use and everlasting. I love it.😁

      @@HomeCookingwithSomjit Is it stainless steel because I have a Zebra brand stainless steel wok and it burns very fast whenever i fry chili paste, so fast till my paste also turns black (i use low heat).

      Hi Jennifer, Yes it's a stainless steel work "La Gourmet". Actually, I also have the Zebra stainless steel wok as well and it has the same problem as yours. It's base warped over a period of time making it difficult to sit well on the flat stove and hardly can conduct the heat evenly inside the wok.
      I think La Gourmet was a good investment for me, I have been using it for more than 8 years and still looks as new. :)

      Hi thiamjoo, thanks for the comment 😄 This dish is a spicy vegetable dish with the spicy-level resembling sambal. As the 6 pieces of dried chilli is quite spicy, the 2 asam keping is used to balance out some of that heat. No worries, however, as all the ingredients can be altered to taste 😄
