Living the life, you guys! So nice to see your smiles. Stay blessed! 💞
Thank you!
Great Video 😊.
I went on this years ago and then to The Mystery Spot. I’m glad you enjoyed California.
I also went on this years ago. It was a lot of fun.
This was excellent Shawn and I'm so glad that you and Charlotte got to experience a trip through a Sequoia forest ...brilliant! A must and rare view of the diversity of CA.
It was great!
Hi Shawn and Charlotte. That railway was great. So nice to see such an ancient forest with massive trees. Take care. Nick
It was fantastic
Beautiful to see such old and tall trees!
Loved it
Thanks for recording this, i really love trains and trams of any kind especially heritage ones and i love nature, this is such a beautiful railway. I would love you to record more heritage railways, they will be having the christmass specials coming up soon.
We had a great time!
You two should definitely pay a visit to one of the UK's own heritage railways, there you will feel like you've travelled back in time to the 50's where steam was everywhere and electric trains weren't a thing yet, promise me they never disappoint!
We will definitely be covering more!
Hey there Shawn and Charlotte I absolutely love steam trains and more history wow and amazing vlog from Alton Towers from your first channel theme park worldwide brilliant scare fest for Halloween and I can’t believe it’s there from October to November wow amazing date too and please make some more vlogs with your parents please thank you I love you so millions xxxx
Thank you!
I love steam trains, so really enjoyed this vlog through the red wood forest. Thanks for filming so much of the ride. If you ever journey to Maine, USA, keep the "Wiscasset, Waterville, and Farmington railway" in mind. I think you'd live the experience on some very old locomotives, and amazing coaches to ride in.
It was great fun!
👍
Thanks for sharing this--I've always wanted to do this and hope to do this in the future. A few years back we went here, but there were no more available rides. The one we wanted to do stopped at Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk. Although we didn't get to ride the train, we were able to explore Henry Cowell Redwoods State Park that you saw along your train ride. It is a beautiful and peaceful place. But next time I'm getting on that train. Thanks again for highlighting northern California on your recent trip.
fantastic video sanbrooke adventures
Thanks!
What a beautiful train ride!
Heisler engines are really rare and unique. Along with Shays and Climax engines, they’re the atypical engine layout built for 22:09 power and traction and not speed and fit in a small package. They also burn oil instead of coal or wood to prevent sparks from the flue starting fires.
Thanks for sharing!
Stunning little railroad, deffo one of a kind 😊
Loved it
Brilliant video Absolutely Amazing UA-cam Channel.
Thank you!
I love the steam train and all the history to all the big theme parks in the uk should do something like that
It was great!
Oh we love this cute train!! I've been riding Roaring Camp since I was a kid. A few years ago a close friend of mine hosted a party here and we all got to visit and ride. It's an awesome little engine "I think I can... I think I can..." 😅
Oh yes- the poor trestle. Before the fire we could drive in a loop and didn't have to back up on the track to turn around. It was arson I think. So sad that the great trestle was burnt
It was great fun!
Loving the Redwood Railway, great audio too❤
Thank you!
You should visit more railroads
Great vlog Shawn and Charlotte 👍👍😃😃
Hey Hans, how are you? Love this video.
@@DanielKing-dk5nr I’m good thanks. ☺️ yes I did enjoy it, I found it interesting to watch. I think visiting the redwood forest and going on a train ride is something I would do if I went to California. I’ve never been to California but would like to go. The only two places I’ve been to in the USA are Orlando Florida and New York
Very cool !! I love trains. You mentioned the train at Dollywood, I remember when I was a kid about 90% of the ride was through the woods. With some scenery spaced out in between, and they also had the live actors that robbed the train.
Thanks for sharing!
It’s so cool that you guys got to go! The trestle that burned actually was a full spiral where the track went over itself. I suggested it when your Santa Cruz vlog came out!
It was great to ride it!
So cool to see you guys in our neck of the woods (literally)! Henry Cowell State Park is right next to Roaring Camp. You can park at either place and walk to the other. I highly recommend you check out HC next time, it's got a visitors center, beautiful trails through the trees and along the river. :)
Thanks for your suggestions!
My neck of the woods, West Somerset Railway is a lovely one Shawn if you are looking at doing more steam train journeys! 🙂
If and when you guys return to Pennsylvania, I have two train trip suggestions: First, the oldest running railroad in the country, The Strasburg Railroad where if you remember the movie ‘Thomas and the Magic Railroad’, part of the movie was filmed there; and second, The Oil Creek and Titusville Railroad, close to where I live, where petroleum was discovered in 1859 and gave the area the nickname ‘The Valley That Changed the World!!
Thanks for these suggestions!
FYI, George Westinghouse, industrialist based in my home town, Pittsburgh, Pa. Very fun video as always. I wonder if the redwoods stay green all year around. Great seeing that stream engine working in real life. Thanks.😊
I love this channel. ❤. Hope everyone has a blessed day 💫💫🙏🏻
Definitely check out the -Bluebell (Sussex)
-NYMR (North Yorkshire)
-Mid Hants (Hampshire)
-SVR (West Midlands, backs onto west midlands safari park)
-Great Central Railway (Loughborough)
Fascinating video vlog of this railroad. I worked on the railways for just under 25yrs so I’m always interested in this type of material. Good to hear you may vlog a few more of this type of video. I filmed a shorted vlog on the North Norfolk Railway at Sheringham back in the summer if you wish to check that out on my channel. Great vlog guys👌
Thanks for sharing!
That was really cool. It's now on my bucket list. The only.steam train I've been on is the Keighley one in Yorkshire
We would definitely recommend a visit
Very cool video!
So cool
After the next phase of electrification to Gilroy, the plan is to expand Caltrain (and the Amtrak Capital Corridor) to Santa Cruz and Salinas-still doesn’t connect with the Pacific Surfliner since that only goes as far as San Luis Obispo (and only a fraction of all trips, which mostly stick to the LA-San Diego corridor)
My home railroad is the Strasburg railroad, which was the first US railroad to do a Thomas event-they even temporarily theme in some of their other trains as other characters now
When I was a kid in the early aughts, it was just Thomas
That’s awesome!
“You can’t turn her at the terminus, you just reverse her back”
You guys need to go on the Jacobite steam train the scenery is spectacular
Would love to
you and charlotte should visit the Strasburg railroad in Pennsylvania
This is a good idea, I am wanting to do a California trip next year. I might not be able to do both southern and Northern California on the same trip. There looks to be a lot to do. How long did you spend in Northern California? I would like to find out how long you took to see everything, theme parks as well as other attractions.
Have a great time! We spent 5 days in Northern California and loved it!
Was there last September
Maybe try bluebell railway in Sussex and not far from tullys farm scare fest.
Should come to bury see east Lancashire railway x
The forest reminds me of the Endor scenes in Star Wars Return of the Jedi, what do you think
It does!

I love trains but I prefer to sit facing forward than sideways. Would rather look at the view than trying not to see passengers. Nice looking train though.
It was a great experience that I’m glad we did!
What was your best
