The Anne Frank House was established on 3 May 1957 in cooperation with Otto Frank, Anne Frank’s father. We are an independent non-profit organisation that runs a museum in the house where Anne Frank went into hiding and we try to increase awareness of Anne’s life story all over the world, encouraging people to reflect on the dangers of antisemitism, racism, and discrimination, and the importance of freedom, equal rights, and democracy.

We get criticised for every little thing and on-top of that we look back on moments we failed and criticise ourselves. There is a reason why the toilet generations are depressed and it’s because of this. Every where we turn we get criticised for what we do. “ You are always on your phone, go out and be social” and then we go out with our friends and get dirty looks because we are all just self centred, stupid, hormonal, insignificant, drug addicted teenagers according to them. We try do what we are told, we do our best to be perfect, but all we get in return is this constant criticism. We are staring to believe that we are wrong so we start criticising ourselves but on a whole new level. Anne probably knew this, she knows that it’s only going to get worse and worse if it isn’t stopped right away. Anne knows this, this is why she spoke up against it, but she has no power in the secret annex a she is young.

It is so sad, they treat her like a baby. And i understand it was a very terrible time For them all. But in my opinion she is really acting like an adult at such a young age. And she is so smart! I would have loved for her to see how wonderful she was, and brave. This young lady inspired us all!

É meio impressionante - não de modo 100% positivo - que até uma garota como Anne, passando por tudo que ela passa, entende exatamente o que muitos jovens hoje passam. Ela descreve em detalhes como nos sentimos, como *eu* me sinto. Eu sou minha maior crítica, e quando outros me criticam também entro em pânico interno. Eles não sabem ou não ligam que nós também precisamos de elogios e coisas boas as vezes, e isso é péssimo.
It is quite impressive-not in a 100% positive way-that even a girl like Anne, going through everything she goes through, understands exactly what many young people today go through. It describes in detail how we feel, how *I* feel. I am my biggest critic, and when others criticize me, I also panic. They don't know or care that we also need compliments and good things sometimes, and that sucks.

Fabulous series. Brilliant performance by the girl playing Anna. Also the dialogues help one slowly realise what a crazy world they had to live in and the tremendous courage it must have taken to b sewed up in this hiding place. Sad😡 and heartbreaking.

I don't know why they criticized Anne so much, she was such an amazing girl.
I think it was because the pression from the war and the afraid of beeing discovered. Then, they just put that emotions into Anne

For us she may be a heroine, but for them she was just one of the inhabitants in a very cramped hiding place, with the constant fear of discovery. She was also in her puberty and teenagers can just be very annoying in general.
Remember also that through her diary, we only read her side of the story, not or barely that of the other ones. So it is very possible that some things were actually completely different then described by Anne.
Everyone living there was in a constant state of anxiety of being discovered, and also living inside for a long long time would have taken a toll on them. Anne was a child and the easiest target for any outbursts I think.
For us she is an amazing girl but for her family and friends she was a normal teenage girl. They didn't knew that afterwards she would be famous and an amazing child.

I understand Anne Frank. I lived in a big city, where I was very happy, I had many friends and a school that I didn't want to leave. But, at 12, my parents had a "brilliant" idea of moving to a small town, I don't like small towns because I have some things I don't like: insects and a lot of noise (I'm autistic). My parents told me that I'm going to get used to it, but I didn't get used to it. Since we started living in the small town, I have changed: I am less happy, very angry, I complain about everything and I have no control over my emotions. Everyone in my house complains about everything I do, especially my mother and younger sister, it makes me cry a lot. Today I am 15 years old and I can't wait to turn 18 or 19, so I can leave the small city and return to the big city.

I think this is where it falls flat to make Kitty a camera-because firstly, Anne never shoved her paper diary in their faces, did she? And secondly, who wants to get a camera shoved in their face when they’re in hiding and miserable?

I don't remember if she explains why, but wouldn't be more reasonable if Margot was her roomate?
Inazuma vickun in the beginning she did share her room with her sister. But later an extra person arrived, the dentist. Margot had to go sleep with her parents and Anne and the man shared a room.
The parents didn't want to share their room with the new person.

This is absolutely fantastic..well made ..but the only problem with a subtitled movie is that they sometimes dont do a film justice in the fact that in order to keep up with the film they sometimes are abridged and some things get lost in translation . I found this was the case with this (Dutch is my second language). But still enjoyed it very much ...HEERLIJK GEDAAN....de groeten van engeland
