Talanoa Lelei 6: Autonomy vs Shame and Doubt

We present our 'Talanoa Lelei' series. This programme is a mini series of Facebook Lives by 'Ilaisaane Langi sharing practical tips on parenting teenagers with their mental health and well being. The programme will be in Tongan and English.
During March, Ilaisaane will be speaking on the topic 'Autonomy vs Shame
and Doubt'. In this video, Ilaisaane outlines the second stage of development regarding autonomy of years 1.5-3years old. She encourages parents to allow the child to discover their autonomy by giving them choices to make. By givng a variety of choices, the child can discover themselves and grow confident in making choices.
