Firstly Nepal government is (Aptuk) follower of communist chinese and his holiness Dalai Lama was prohibited to visit Lumbini.By the way the wisdom taught by Buddha was more important than birthplace....

Nepal govt don't want to offend china. Every thing he does offends china. It's the same for Thai, Vietnam and Cambodia govts.
