- His Holiness the Dalai Lama speaks with members of the Dutch Parliament Foreign Affairs Committee and other MPs at the Dutch Parliament in the Hague, The Netherlands on May 12, 2014. After a short address His Holiness answers questions from the audience.
I bow to you, parliamentarians of Holland for giving the floor to one who wants nothing but spread of love and compassion.
I hope the wisdom, compassion and genuenness of this " simple Buddhist monk" will teach us all more humility and respect for each other. Thank you so much for this video.
Parliamentarians should serve people sincerely and transparently says His Holiness. thank you for your loving message of love and compassion.

Wona Peaceful I'll rephrase that, what do you need me to do? Got the names of any organizations I can check out, preferably ones that operate in Canada.
Can anybody any organisation around the world FOCUS ON DEPENDENT of Tibet RATHER THAN JUST TALK-Monk won't say anything anymore against communist party cos he is monk. If compare to Iraq, Afgha why there are many countries help to clean up the problem. It is because the huge benefit from oil and money in return which is opposite to Tibet if they put more pressure to China those countries will lose benefit from business counterpart, right? Another is Tibet has nothing to give them, right? There is NO ONE really intend to seek peace or dependent for Tibet because they scare China.

I remember when he visited my city, I was standing behind a row of people, with two sticks of gladiolus flowers that I picked up from the local flower shop. I must be 9 or something. I was peeking at him behind all the grown-ups, those flowers in my hand, and he stopped, looked at me, smiled and put his hand on my head and said bless you. I gave him the flowers and off he went. Interestingly he never stopped walking before and after that, till I could see him ofcourse.

Namaste to his holiness. Very educative. I do research on how Buddhism disappeared in Bihar. I realized it never disappeared from Bihar. Buddhists simply failed to research Indian Buddhism. They looked at Buddhism through the sphere of their own cultures searching for only the Buddha. Buddha had a myriad of names in different villages according to his teachings there. Example. His favorite teaching was 'Lust and desire causes pain. Remove lust and desire, and pain is removed'. Translated into Bihari (where the Buddha story took place) it is DHUKH HARAN meaning to remove dukha. Three dozen villages pray to DUKH HARAN Baba. Its clear that DUKH HARAN Baba is none other than the Buddha. Problem is Buddhists are searching only for the Buddha. In the real Vaishali the Buddha begged for alms. The locals there pray to 'BHIKHAINI' Baba (Beggar Baba). Bhikhaini was mispronounced by Buddhists as Bhikshu. Who is BHIKHAINI Baba. The Buddha no doubt. But people are searching for a man called Buddha. In the real Vaishali, in Beluha the Buddha suffered a sickness and felt he had grown old. The locals pray to 'BURHA' Baba (Old Baba). Who is BURHA Baba. The Buddha no doubt. In the real Vaishali the Lichavies pressurized Buddha not to die. They trailed him to Bandagawan pressurizing him not to die. To put pressure in Hindi is DABESHWAR. Three dozen villages around the stupa where Buddha gave the Lichavies his patra, the villagers pray to Baba 'DABESHWAR NATH' meaning the man who won the pressurizing game. It was the the Buddha no doubt as he gave the Lichavies his patra and succeded in sending them back. But Buddhists are searching for the Buddha. Forgive me for commenting out of the topic. I just wanted to impart this information to you.
The Dalai Lama makes very clear his wish for benefit or "win >win" with China and Chinese people. No hatred, no vengeance. Supporting women, children even animals rights, giving compassion to all sentient beings helps create a safer and kinder world for all of us. Read Victor Chang's book "Wisdom of Forgiveness" for deeper understanding of his sincere intentions for peace.
