It took a long time for the Swedish aviation industry to pick up steam, and at the start the Swedish government often opted for buying foreign designs. That’s why you’ll see quite a few familiar fuselages at low ranks.

My favorite swedish aircraft isn't in the game yet. It's the Saab J35 Draken

My favorite is undoubtedly the A32 A Lansen. The attack version equipped with the Robot 4 naval missile. My dad flew these back in the day when he was in his prime. He told me the used to fly these just a few feet over the water in the middle of the night, practicing the event of an russian invasion.
My grandfather flew the J32, haven’t heard many stories from it though but imma be a Gripen pilot and live up to the legacy🤞

@@pierrevargen Jag har en släkting som flög J26 Mustang under 40 talet. Det var en uppvisning 1946 bland några länder bland annat sverige och när han var högt uppe slutade plötsligt hans motor. Han störtade direkt mot en stor skola och samhälle men han hann styra om planet innan det kraschade mot skolan. Barnen överlevde men dock inte han.

A bit of trivia; the Lansen was designed to be able to carry tactical nuclear weapons, but never actually did so since Sweden never actually had any such weapons.
Rather we decided to cancel it and sign the non nuclear arms treaty

When Sweden decided not to get nuclear weapons Sweden had already done the research needed and built the factory to make them.
Saab even designed a dedicated nuclear bomber: A36 (the missing 36 in between J35 and AJ37).
And the Bandkanon 1 155mm self propelled artillery were made to be able to fire tactical nukes.
We had every reason to keep a strong army but noooooo. Let's waste the money on stuff that's even more wasteful then an army.

Realistic. Your best hope is to get Japanese on your team to maneuver them but even that’s unreliable because they’re already at 4500 meters while you’re just hitting 3000
Buy it fast because it will soon be nerfed when enough of you buy it ;)
The finnish plane makes me mad because it out performs the Yaks at turning which is the one thing I cannot understand. It always has the height advantage too because it has a better climb rate. Then the guns are much better than the Yaks and the plane is a 4.3. Meanwhile the I-185 M-71 is still a 4.7 with probably the worst win rate out of all the Russian aircraft.

It's small tech tree and it's easier to grind, I would recommed it for beginers if they want to fastly get to mbts
8 months late but yeah this is really true, I played american for 3 months and still rank 4, played swedish for a week and im already at jets and starting ground

@@kikirainbowshine3591 It was impossible to balance. They couldn't put it too low because then it would steam roll, and they couldn't put it too high because then it would get absolutely wrecked. There was basically no BR for this thing to sit in.

3:17 one of theese planes were actually shot down in 1945 while intercepting a german bomber near sölvesborg, the pilot harry nordlund never managed to bail out from the plane and he was the first swedish pilot to be shot down in combat over sweden.

It has been said throughout time that one Swedish pilot is worth two American and Russian pilots. We don't have a lot of planes and not until recently has the planes been our own original design, but our pilots make up for it in sheer skill.

I've been able to blaze down the tree to tier 4 in 2 days and the J-22B is my favorite. A 2 second burst rips practically anything apart at it's BR

Because Sweden had the 4th biggest air Force in 1957, then most of My favorit swedish aircraft are from that time like the Saab J 29 Tunnan, Saab A 32 lansen and Saab J 35 dranken. But i really like the Saab 37 Viggen and Saab Jas 39 Gripen i would love to see all of these in war thunder at some point.

You can see these 3 and more Swedish planes in Falcon BMS, a dynamic and free F16 Simulator, in the Theater Nordic.
The most terrifying part about the B18s and T18s is that once they’ve dropped their bomb load, they’re ridiculously maneuverable and it’s really easy to catch enemy fighters and bombers with their pants down. They’re the only bombers i’ve gotten Terror of the Skies with, and these bad boys have gotten it quite a few times.

Here, have some criticism
1:38 I have doubts. a single 7.62 round somehow managed to go through the tail, fuselage, and then the pilot's skull. Fun times.
no matter how many times I tried, I used the J22 and got uptiered like hell. 3.0 planes in a 2.0 battle.
Porridge Musk could be better quick turns, as even with the sharpest turns (upwards of 5g), other planes at its tier can generally out-turn it, though it does have ridiculous speed which will make even a polish spitfire pilot cry.
J32 - dogfighting is like trying to put a hat on a Chihuahua. speed can sometimes be a detriment (I know, I can hear Jeremy Clarkson crying from here)

My favourite Swedish design is the Saab JAS 39 "Gripen"
There is or was a video on UA-cam with the swedish bomber B3 carrying caputed german v1 weapons and the you see a actual fireing of the v1 rocket abd they commented on have a few of them .B3 plane was also used as reconosense plane flying somewhere at 13000 m or more over or near german borders.

Draken could've been in Tier 6 just as well, it hit the skies the same year as Lansen was introduced tho not in official duty until 1960.

i just got the j26 not the best stock but my my favorite plane at the moment is the J21A-1 that plane really packs a punch once you get the gun modifications put air targets on both belts and have your right mouse button for the cannons and left for machine guns honestly you don't need a cannon on that plane the machine guns are very good

I've been liking the J22B though I am finding the Pyorremyrsky really struggles in up tiers which I seem to be getting a lot of. The A7M wrecks it in basically every way except climb rate, and I always find myself facing an A7M. I'm not sure why, but Instructor seems to SEVERELY limit the maneuverability of the Pyorremyrsky.

The J6b and J8A the gun is soo OP in WT in an AB.
The T18B is crazy. It has just enough of payload to bomb a base and then the 20 mils and 13 mil shred anything and with the rear 13 it can defend itself pretty well. I have quite a lot of kills in it
Can you add more ffnnish planes as well as maybe a BT-42? It is my favorite at the Parola tank museum.

There is 5 planes in files but 1 is soviet bomber which have Finnish skin and others are Hawks with Finnish skins. But all these have been there for years.
But there was a rumour that the plane in Shooting range 173 about at 5:45 was VL Myrsky taking off the airfield.

My fav Swedish plane is the J21A1, i find so much joy flying with it, sometimes getting 8 kills on Realistic battle, or 3 and 4 more commonly

Cant wait until the 1960 swedish jet with J 35D Draken in the lead. this was also the fastest Draken version, capable of accelerating until out of fuel or out of control which ever came first >:) But top speed of the regular model was 2100 km/h

My Favourite Plane in the Tech Tree Is the Finnish Pyörremyrsky Because its a Energy / Turn Fighter so you can run from your enemies & Turn quicker than most of them
As a former crew member of the famous A32A Lansen for 8 years, I herby vote for A32A Lansen.
My favourite though is the J32B Lansen or "Lansen sport" a remarkable good fighter jet.
I ended up flying in the reserve with the "light attack fighter jet SAAB 105" up to the end of the cold war and the disappearing of the USSR. "Will be no more wars, so time to check out and go home", was the common consensus from Swedish politicians!

I don't understand why the Saab b17 isn't a dive-bomber in game when it is in real life. They use the landing gears as airbrakes when they dive and that is what they are so big.

Its not recommended playing air ab, You try getting a kill, but you get an annoying ass "EnEmY kiLl aSSiSt" message. And when your out on the battlefield, half of the enemy team goes after you, with no friendlies nearby, you are dead as dirt.
@@jielynsabarez2693 i cant find a good mode to main, RB takes 10-15 minutes to get to the enemies and AB you get 5 planes on your tail or insta killed in the first 5 minutes

Yeah just doesn't make sense that some of finnish vehicles are in the german and some in swedish tech tree.
There is a plane called the MM.406 that will be added to the Swedish tree as a premium. Im guessing It is the Mörkö-Morane.

Sweden had the only un jets in the Congo conflict , the J29 barrel. It had many missions as ground striker and a dog fight. Sweden have had a active role in many un operations.
Great summary video, for a wonderful set of planes! The native Swedish designs are all so cool, this is one of my favourite tech trees now. :)
I'd love to see more Finnish, Danish, Norwegian, or Icelandic vehicles show up in this tree in the future too.
Maybe just make it a combined Nordic/Scandanavian tree.

After J35 Draken Sweden stopped buying foreign fighter planes.
Well after Lansen they did. Hawker Hunters in 1955 were the last combat jets they bought.

I was engaging a J21A1 and i was turning to fire a burst then it outurned me and i saw it was a push prop. I didnt know it was a Swede boy until i was destroyed by it. I was using Yak1
