- Hey party people! thanks so much for hanging out with me while I share with you our summer setup! I'm so pumped about this! I put together some craft bins for the kids, and some summer activities that I will have ready for them if they get bored this summer... I mean when they get bored. lol I share. a ton of mom hacks along the way that I've been learning and seeing all over the gram and Pinterest and other places! Honestly. I wish I could have shared more! I had a long list of things on my list to share in this video and I got to about 90% of it! So I hope you enjoy all of the mom hacks. and summertime fun ideas! I love seeing the summer checklists you created for your kids! I know lots of viewers assume YOU do everything while your family does nothing, but these lists prove that they have lots of responsibilities and it’s all very organized and accessible for them!
Definitely an idea I will use when my baby grows up!!
I absolutely loveeeee that you have your children earn screen time/ video games etc... I also love that you're such an out doorsy and crafty mom and that you don't rely on electronics to do the parenting and babysitting for you like so many others do. You guys are great parents and I can already tell your children will succeed in all their future endeavors! God Bless you and your family.
Kim, I can't tell you how much I appreciate your honesty. I am also a mom of 5, and I work full-time. There are many days where there is not enough Calgon in the world to take me away, but I know that I am doing my best, and thank you for always reminding me that is all that matters!
When your girls start or even now it might be a good idea to keep a feminine hygiene pouch as well. I made one for each of my girls, explained what they were, and how to/where to keep them. I put pads different ones (regular & super) added a pair of underwear and a few other things and they kept it in their backpack during school, and on vacations I packed them with their things. You never know when their 1st cycle will start.

I add a pair of black leggings just in case they leak through.

Your videos made me clean and declarer my entire upstairs. Still working on the basement but it’s better and garage. But spouse is more possessive. I have issues medically so cleaning is hard for me. Now I can clean so easily. My kids don’t do crafts sadly. Would have given you my kids craft supplies they had so much but sadly I can’t even pay them to do it. I donated to a local church though. They seemed happy to have the stuff.

My 3 year old was born in November with Meredith and she loves watching your videos with me. She calls them “mom videos”. She just told me you’re a great mom bc you get your kids toys and things for summer. 😂❤ I think that was a hint for me!
When my kids were little I made a checklist of all the chores for each room. Laminated them and taped them on the wall. Then they can use a dryer race marker to check things off.

Although our kids are older, they still need reminders. i LOVE those mini sand pail desserts! I need it in my life. You did make me feel a little guilty that I am not a crafty mom and don't have any of that organized. Just motivation to get my life in order.

I had to comment on the garage fridge overstock drink, we have one too. Mine is dirty as well. Hubby just complained about it, I’m like I don’t know how it gets dirty inside!!! I’m probably in there 2/3 times a week. It’s the dirt fairies fault 🤣😂😅.

I use to get Crayola colored sand at Walmart and small treasures from the dollar store and put it all into a small plastic tote. Lots of fun!

I came to say this too. When I was a kid we were the only family on our street to have Sky TV (I'm in the uk) and I watched all the American shows. The theme tunes were fanbloodytastic and I still get nostalgia chills when I hear one! My absolute fave is The Greatest American Hero and the theme to that is my ring tone!! 👍👍

I use the placemats from Dollar Tree to line refrigerator shelves because I hate cleaning the refrigerator. Easier to either wash or throw away the place mat. Love your videos and the singing. Everything reminds me of a song.
If you don't want to carry bulky blankets to the beach, I got a couple king size flat sheets from the thrift store and we just lay them out. They don't get hot when you sit on them, they dry super quick if they get wet, they launder really quickly, and we got caught in a summer rainshower and tossed all the toys on it and tied the corners in a knot to just carry one big bundle.

Ikea has those big rolls of paper and some paint supplies and finger paint is fun for some kids. Some kids hate the sensory thing about it.
I love this kind of stuff. For the big girls I was thinking you should get them a nice sketchbkkk each that they can make into a summer scrapbook and memory journal. Print them some pics from their summer adventures and pics of their friends etc. stickers and glue sticks and markers for that kit and you are good to go. Have a journal time nightly or after breakfast or whenever they are bored or waiting. I think journaling once a day is great for working on writing skills and creativity.

Dollar Tree has great art things for kids. With the canvas's, once the "forget" about them, I paint over them with chalk paint or Gesso and boom....more without the cost and they don't know the difference.

You can put the shelves in your dishwasher, while you clean the fridge. It's Hot! Try canning 20 jars on beans. Good Job.
WOW, some great ideas Kim. One I used when my son was little was, in a zip lock put a handful of ice cubes and a wash cloth. When the kids are hot and sticky, the cubes are melted and the wash cloth is clean, damp and cool ! Also would put water bottles in the freezer night before use them for ice packs, then drink later still nice and cold. Those were great for waterpark or hiking trails. Love ya Kim!!!!

You can easily drink flavored water by adding a tea bag (love mint and berries) into a bottle of water and let it sit for a few hours. I don’t add sugar but of course you can! Refreshing, cheap, healthy! And the dessert is soooo cute!

Throw some baby powder in your beach bag to help clean off the sand at the end of the day. Put powder on feet and easily wipes off. Happy summer
Love that you broke the Cricut out!!!! The issue you are having is that you have Strong Grip Transfer Tape when you actually just need the regular Transfer Tape (or even some masking tape!!) Strong Grip is used for glitter vinyl. :)
Kim, you can fill a tin tray with water and put plastic fish, dinosaurs, etc and freeze. The kids could have fun chipping away the ice with something like a wooden spoon to find the treasure.

Honey you have been at going strong since last November, I don't know how you do it. You are a super women. You go GIRL! You are a great mom! I had a craft bin for my grandkids, they loved doing crafts with me. They stayed with us every school break, which me being being a teacher wasn't a break for me, but I loved every time they were with us. I now which they still were here all the time now that they are 19 and 22. I miss them terrible, with their grandfather in a nursing due to a brain bleed a year ago.

I just watched an influencer run her fingers across all her childrens craft supplies before putting everything away in their individual boxes. You come into the frame and dump all your supplies on the floor. This is one of the reasons why we love you......you are authentic and real. Thank you friend =)

Hi Kim, just a quick hack for you(you probably already know it) But pop some baby powder into your beach bag, it’s great to remove sand from feet and also helps prevent rubbing from wearing shoes with damp feet. The other use for it is between the thigh’s which again after swimming or sand play can help prevent rubbing there. I hope this helps and when can I book a spot at Camp Mom, I’m 50 but I really want to come and play lol much love from England xx
I sure miss summer fun with my 2 sons! Our house was always the fun house, and even though our boys are all grown up, the friends they had when they were little, are still the same friends they have now. My hubby and I may be 64 and 60, but we’re still the fun parents. Thank you for another fun video! You’re awesome!❤️❤️❤️❤️
Kim… try the transfer paper that isn’t so so so sticky! Or take that transfer paper and stick it to a tshirt a few times and pull it off before you use it and it’ll take some of the stick away and it’ll be much easier! I had the exact same problem at first… I hated my circuit for the first few months. I still rarely use it but I have found some ways to make it a little more pleasant! Hope this helps. Sorry if someone else has already suggested it!
Yes over the holiday season we spent like $100 on playdough & kinetic sand to last for the year lol. We love the playdough brand accessories because the others we have tried are cheaply made so we just try to get them at Costco or during the holiday season or in our local buy nothing group.
No more little campers to care for --🥲--but it’s fun to watch you and I’m getting with the camp information booth. Love this new Kim bonus ! You amaze me! I just love to step into your mind. It’s fun!! 🥰 Keep it up sweet KIM!

When you take the transfer tape off your cut outs, try going diagonally from corner to corner and wiggle as you go. Just do a little at a time. If that doesn’t make sense, watch some of the crafting UA-camrs. That’s where I learned that technique.
