As a 73 year old woman, I have tried and worn quite a few foundations over the years. And, as I’ve aged, so have the needs of my skin… I began wearing this foundation a month ago and absolutely love the look and feel of my skin! It does not oxidate on me, and it looks as fresh in the evening as it did when I applied it in the AM. Thank you Nikol for sharing your experience with this wonderful foundation.
I am 60 and have tried quite a few high end foundations...Tom Ford, Pat McGrath, Charlotte Tilbury, Armani and on and on. I purchased her foundation a month ago. By far the most wonderful foundation I have ever tried. She should get an Oscar! ;-) Your channel is much more than beauty for the aging woman. Absolutely true on ALL counts, Nikol! At 63 yrs old I have more disposable income than ever in my life, but am totally ignored when I walk into Sephora. Also, yes, why do some women feel the need to be mean girls for their entire lives. Life's too short- be kind!!

You are so right when you encourage people to celebrate aging, and for many reasons. At 58 I am privileged to have reached an age several friends & family members will never see, so I celebrate every birthday and never complain about wrinkles and grey hair.
I love how genuine you are and when you were laughing about all the crappy comments is great! Even your eyes were sparkling! Don’t let people steal your shine, it is most definitely their loss! Nicol - amazing “an aging face is beautiful” comment- thank you 🙏 you have been a savior for me this year - I just turned sixty on Nov 22 - other birthdays I would assure myself not to worry “58 is just over 56 and 56 was fine just like being 52” lol but this year I could make it work so I had to come to grips with being 59 full stop. PS I have trouble checking out on your website but I was finally able to order the eye primer and just peachy and I am so impressed - I can say my search for an eye primer and a brightner has ended. Loved the heft of the eye primer and the grip - most go on and you can’t tell that they are there or what they are doing. The just peachy is more mysterious but it does it’s job almost invisibly and that makes sense under the eye is fraught with problems so you want something that does not add to the problem- but for primer that’s not the case.

I remember walking into a clothing store with my daughters.. not one sales associate approached me! And yes, the clothes this company sold were items I could wear. This was 5 yrs ago no less. Saddened me that day.
Over 40 years as a professional makeup artist and holistic aesthetician, I started my channel for this same reasons you’re talking about. I just don’t find any UA-camrs that know what there talking about. That’s why I started my channel at 70 years old because I have the experience, not being pay by large cosmetics companies. OMG - loved this! So true--I hate going into Sephora/Ulta and even Blue Mercury. You can see the associates look at each other...."Oh no -- it's not my turn to take this one on" And, you're absolutely correct -- we're the age group and spends the big bucks! What's even worse is when they try to sell you something that doesn't even match your skin -- they just want to get rid of you. Thank you!
I feel this way at Ulta but I have found salespeople at Sephora and Bluemercury who are more mature and who understand my needs. I generally just work with 2 at my local Sephora and 3 at Bluemercury
I have watched countless video spotlights on Lady Gaga. She comes from a traditional Italian family which, despite her entertainment side, she has a serious, authentic, very home based side plus she is naturally gorgeous. I think her intention is to create a good product for as many people as she can. Her price range is affordable, I think. No, it's not drugstore but as far as foundations go, there are many that are much more expensive. If the performance is there, I say her intention was honorable. I have not tried this foundation yet but those I follow on UA-cam love it!
Maybe there will be a time when some if the haters will find contentment. I wish that for them. Beautiful YOU and your focus on mature women has inspired me to get back into putting on makeup every day. I’m feelin’ it and lookin’ good and nearly 70.

Nikol, you were the very first beauty channel I subscribed to BECAUSE of your fierce aging series. Listen, you are beautiful and authentic, which I love. I love how you try to include everyone in your beauty videos particularly women my age. I'm 63 and I LOVE my age! I had a large family. Nikol, I have said this for years! We are the ones with the money to spend. I got an obviously expensive to produce catalog from a high-end department store, full of 20-year-old waif models. These girls are modeling very expensive clothes meant for an older demographic, and frankly, clothes they would not likely wear themselves! It makes no sense.

I stopped wearing makeup because, like you were saying, so many brands are no longer focused on us as we age. My powders and foundations that used to look really good on my skin 10 years ago, look awful now. I’m glad Lady Gaga is inclusive and would love to try her brand.
I am proudly 72. Platinum (not gray) is weaving into my dark hair. 😂 I have laugh lines! People tthink they must flatter me by saying I look younger than I am. I have earned the platinum in my hair. Years of smiling and laughter are etched on my face. So many wonderful memories! I love how you celebrate women like me. I always feel a little more beautiful when I watch one of your videos. Ladies! Wayne Goss talked about this topic today, how aging women are basically ignored by the cosmetic community. thank you for also discussing it. at 69 I have seen the difference in how I am treated at cosmetic counters. I look for a mature women to help me because I feel they “get it.” most of the lines have younger women working the counters. We definitely can get overlooked.I have no problem speaking up for myself, but feel bad that I have to. love your videos 💖

I really appreciate your perspective about aging, clean beauty, etc. As a 62 year old woman with very sensitive skin, I really love that you review such a wide variety of products for the mature woman. I just made my first purchase from your line and it was such a treat to get such beautiful and beautifully packaged products. With my sensitive rosacea skin, I wish you had a return policy but I went with the eye primer and the bottle blonde shadows; figured couldn’t go too wrong with those! Also, in this video today, I loved your comments about how men don’t rag on each other about their looks the way we woman can. We must be careful as women not to internalize self-hate or direct toward our female friends! Thanks again for all you do!
I love the way you do speak to us aging women, who definitely have more challenges with their skin care, and we strive to look the best we can be. We are a market that I think is not catered to! I can so relate to feeling invisible at 72. Over the last 1 1/2 yrs. I've embraced my white hair and I get so many compliments, because I do take care of my skin and want the best makeup and products. I’m 67 and unashamed! I’ve worked hard for every line! So glad you’re talking about this. I’m tired of being shunned or ignored when I shop for cosmetics. I have the disposable income not so much so for my daughters and granddaughters. I’m also the one that takes them shopping when we’re together. The way older women are treated is outrageous. Even at the big department stores the retail staff acts like they’re too good to wait on me. It’s idiotic and bad business.
Ever notice that the least trained, least educated, most likely to have teeth missing, dirty fingernails and down right stupid people in the store to wait on you!😂 A failing business plan in this day and age when I can buy everything online without being made to feel bad. I'm a middle aged woman. I am a big fan, of Lady Gaga, because she is a true artist, fashion, make-up, art, music( Jazz and Pop 2 different residencies), are all what she built her career on. She is very smart. When it comes to business, Lady Gaga is very hands on about every detail of everything she ever does for herself. She treasure's mature people. Yes! Super consumer - that is me - I once spent $1000 on products in one evening - I shocked myself with that one.. now I keep the amount per purchase much (usually) lower but I have not stopped my search for the right products.
I totally agree that women over 50 are ignored. I'm 60 and feel that society as a whole immediately sees me as a "ma'am" and I'm meant to be coddled and basically treated as if I don't have a brain in my head! The message of the article, as well as your message, is that we're fierce, and we're NOT meant to be ignored or shoved in a corner somewhere because we're doddering in our "old age"! I like my face the way it is, with its faint laugh lines and hyperpigmentation. I've led an exciting life, and some of it happens to show on my face. When I tell people the stories of where I've lived and what I've accomplished and disabled at that! people don't find me so old and decrepit anymore. So I gladly follow in your footsteps to think of myself as an individual who has power, and uses it whenever possible! Thank God I found your channel because I believe you are wonderful!

I think there's more to it than a love for skin care or makeup. I think they financially have to invest money in businesses and it's merely a financial move. Gaga is extremely creative so I believe her intention for every aspect of this brand is authentic. As for aging. I find healthy older women who have embraced aging to be far more attractive than the procedure junkies who just look weird! I intend to stay beautiful no matter how old I get.
I’ll be 61 next month and I’m so happy with who I am. I’m not skinny my hair is salt and pepper and I get so many compliments on it. I wish my confidence level was what it is now when I was in my 20s and 30s. Aging is a gift and I’m enjoying it to the max. I think you are absolutely gorgeous and so realistic. THANK YOU It’s about time they start using mature women in advertisements. I’m 71 and am always told I certainly don’t look it. I know genetics have a lot to do with it. However from makeup to weight loss ads they are always showing young, slim models to sell their products. Most of the before and afters are sometimes unrealistic and the afters are professionally done and also airbrushed. I love that you are true to your age and focus on us mature women. I watch your tutorials all the time but rarely comment and thought it was time. Lady Gaga is an incredible young woman and has always been true to herself. I love that she has her own makeup line and that you highly approve of it. You have helped me so much in the subject of beauty. Good day, Nikol! Thanks for the review of the Haus Labs foundation- I apply mine with a damp Stanz out makeup sponge and one pump is plenty to do my face! I also love the Selena Gomez soft pinch liquid blush. It’s very pigmented and only need one or two dots on your face. I tap it in and it stays all day. Have also used it as an eyeshadow for a one and done look!

A video with content and real comments and tips for us older woman. Being 64 I religiously watch and listen to your tips. I have bought quite a few of your recommendations and I am extremely happy (Amazon must be too 😅). You are simply gorgeous and Bravo ❤.

I don’t go for every popstar line, but I really do enjoy Rare Beauty and some of the Fenty. I think they are really good. I’m a fan of Gaga and I think she’s the kind of person who will be involved and put out good products. I’m 57 and have been a makeup junkie from a young age (can you say 80s lol). I agree brands do diss us and would appreciate some more focus.
I loved makeup when we were in highschool..like 80 to 83. It was pretty. And the softer hair! :)

I have used Giorgio Armani (clothing designer) and it's great. I love Fenty loose powder. I am going to try Lady Gaga's foundation next. I think the way to try celebrity lines is the way you did it. Do your R & D, read about it and try it. Love your channel and your mantra :)
Nikol..I’m kinda new to watching you a little more than maybe months ago…and decided I like your comments on the older beautiful women out there that need the attention we deserve with the wisdom we carry..where the beauty lies in that…I remember being in a fairly bigSephora and was somewhat turned off by the fact that the much younger women were getting more assistance than the mature women…that says something in that they just don’t get it and one day years from now they will hopefully…we need to celebrate every season and stage we’re in as women..so I really appreciated your comments on this video.

This Haus Labs foundation looks absolutely beautiful on you Nikol 😍 I feel Stefani Germanotta is incredibly serious and committed to her brand…esp this foundation. I’ve been using it and I love it. You the tired old saying that it feels just like your own skin but better….well with this product it’s actually true. My all time favourite high end foundations are this one, Luminous Silk by Giorgio Armani, Chanel Ultra Le Teint and Nars Radiant Longwear Foundation. I have mature skin and all these give me a lovely luminosity with looking oily and they’re not drying.
I have surprisingly LOVED the Haus Labs products - both the primer and the foundation.
I just think companies often grossly overlook the power of being customer-friendly and customer respectful. On several occasions I've walked into Mac studios and been met with indifference by the 20-something staff because I'm over 40 and apparently not "cool" enough for them to spend their time on me and then walked out without buying anything. Then I've crossed the street to a Bare Minerals boutique where I've been greeted with a smile and a helpful attitude. Guess where I've spent my money?
I actually think that women like myself that is of AGE (upper 60's)... spends more money on products because its hard to pick what fits best for my aging skin so the market should give us more choices and recognition for contributing to the market. On another note, I applaud you Nikol for not letting those negative comments crush your self esteem. You are a strong beautiful woman at ANY age and thank you for giving us older women a voice. I am approaching 71 years of age, and even at this age, I have breakouts. Many of the products that indicate that they are “clean” and/or have many ingredients that help the skin, they do not indicate that they are noncomedogenic-in other words, they do not prevent or stop pore blockages. I noticed on this product with all of the ingredients that are supposed to be so beneficial, I couldn’t find mention of being noncomedogenic. Even at my age, this is important to me.
To answer your first question….I believe for the most part celebrity created beauty products are not worth our time or energy to purchase. It’s name recognition only that’s lures women into buying these products. I thank you for doing these product reviews. I have watched you station for many years now, and I can personally say that I have purchased many of the products you have recommended and have never been disappointed! Including your own brand which I love. That’s the honest truth.
Second, regarding negative comments. I have no idea what these ladies are looking at! Like I said, I have been watching your channel for years. I think you look BETTER than ever!! I appreciate your honesty, your fabulous tips, and your respect for all of us over 50 (I’m 69). Thank you for being there for us!
I am 68. No way can I wear what those young girls wear!! Most of them look their age, and some of them look like clowns.

Thank you for trying Lady Gaga’s foundation. I agree with your sentiments about celebrity makeup. But, she seems sincere about her products. The foundation you choose is a great match! You look great as always. Also so true about the buying power we have but are often ignored.

I don’t understand women criticizing you and your videos! They must be very unhappy with themselves or very jealous. You are so beautiful and confident and honest and successful…not to mention helping other women navigate through the swamp that is the beauty industry. ALL women should be thanking you. I love your aging face and I'm saying that as a compliment not as an insult at all. I'm 57 and a half and I am proud of every wrinkle I have! I just started wearing makeup a couple of months ago and I'm so excited about it. I know I've mentioned this already but I do have your brushes and your eye and lip primer.
Usually, I avoid celebrity brands. I admire Lady Gaga for her kindness to others, however. I did try her eyebrow pencil, as there were numerous shades to match my brown-grey brows. The granite brow pencil is perfect and goes on smoothly with tiny hair strokes.
The foundation, unfortunately contains Mango. The Mango tree is one of the "four poison woods: Ivy, Oak, Sumac, and Mango." As someone with a long-standing allergy to Mango juice, any topical application of a product containing even a minute amount of Mango creates a severe burning reaction. The Mango Tree is called the Poison Wood Tree in Africa.
The foundation also contains Grape Seed Oil. Grapes naturally contain
Salicylates. Some of us, especially we individuals who have eczema and asthma, are prone to Aspirin (Acetylsalicylic Acid) Allergies. I have a burning rash with grape seed oil. Just because it is natural, doesn't make it safe for a certain percentage of the population. For people with sensitive skin, often the less ingredients, the better.

I had just truly looked into Haus Labs(having just heard if it in the last few months) literally yesterday, taking the quiz and finding my match(although I think it may be too peachy for my slightly tanned, normally porcelain cool/neutral complexion that can do a certain degree of warmth. Even mire excited to try this foundation after watching your own personal test. You are amazing!
