Just gotta say…. As a silver haired, salt and peppery 68 year old gone gray at 58, I love your dark eyebrows with your gray. As a natural brunette, eyebrow color was a real conundrum for me when I went gray. I felt lighter shades washed me out. I needed the dark color. So I stuck with dark brown and very happy I did. I have a good arch. I just wish mine were as thick as yours. They’re GORGEOUS with your hair color. 👍

I really like that Dior foundation idea. I like the fact that stippling it with the pad that comes with it doesn't disturb the color corrector where a brush might ..in fact, it blended quite nicely, lightweight and still looked 'matte and luminous' at the same time. Great look. I use rosewater as a setting spray.

Firstly, congratulations and kudos to you for performing your civic duty as a juror. You are well-entitled to your rest. Unfortunate that it was so upsetting, but bringing someone to justice is healing for all involved. Secondly, thank you for continuing with these very informative videos; learning so much from you as a mature woman who has been wearing make-up since becoming a teen! Happy International Women's Day to you! You are certainly lifting up all of your followers with many options to take care of themselves - far more than skin deep. Bravo!

Hi Nikol. I love your channel!!! I have so many pages of notes. My dilemma is….. I’m 75, fixed income, so I can’t keep trying everything I want to. Could you please tell me, if I can only buy one moisturizer and foundation, what would be the best. I’ve been blessed with pretty good skin. But, now my age is beginning to show. I’ve been using (and raving about) this product for years. It’s not actually a foundation though, it’s more of a tint. Roughly 80% of it is their serum from that line and it’s classed as a treatment. They also have a clear version with the same SPF. At the beginning of the pandemic I panicked cause I couldn’t find it and Dior said they were discontinuing it. I was so happy when they back tracked. I’ll never find anything as good as this again!

I used to use the Trumatch Lumi Cushion compact foundation just like this one, by L'oreal years ago. It has the exact same outcome & effect as the Dior, at a fraction of the cost of course. Just like the Dior, it adds a demi-matte, with a subtle luminosity look to the skin! There are actually other drugstore brands that carry the same exact concept in foundation like this one... but nowhere near what Dior charges. I actually found one at Dollar Tree (again years ago). These days, I'm using bareminerals; for ease of use and its incredibly natural effect it leaves on my skin. Quite frankly, since using bareminerals for a while now, I don't think I'll ever go back to liquid or even compact-powdered foundations - I'm so obsessed with it! 😁

      @augncyespillanos9798 2 роки тому +1

The Trumatch Lumi Cushion was pretty practical. It was fast & easy (non-liquidy) to use. More importantly, I really enjoyed its luminosity, soft-matte effect. However, I do remember going through a compact pretty quick, as it didn't have no where near what a typical bottle of liquid foundation carries. That for me, was the primary reason I stopped buying it, plus, as soon as I tried the Bareminerals and other powder foundations, I pretty much said goodbye to all liquid foundations - including these not-so-liquidy types. I have normal to oily skin. Not surprisingly, this review appears to describe the exact same effect as the Trumatch Lumi Cushion. The cost however, well, there's definitely a BIG difference ☺

Glad to hear I’m not the only one who wears her makeup on her clothes. I have a solution now, though. Since I inherited my grandmother’s dressing bureau and love to sit at it to make myself up just as she did (my granny was immaculate with her makeup) I keep a full length apron in one of the drawers. I pull it out and make sure it is covering as much as possible. When done I gently fold it up (so makeup doesn’t go on the clothes or floor) and place it back in the drawer. It gets washed every couple of weeks. Clothes saver!

For those ladies who might be hesitant, don’t be! I just turned 68 this week and truly your products are timeless and ageless! And your customer care is superb as well! Quick question about the foundation in this look. How do you suggest cleaning the sponge, and do you clean it each time you use it? I have super sensitive skin and even still have acne (if you can imagine that at my age!), so I’m super careful to always use clean brushes and sponges. Would love your thoughts! I tried cleaning mine and it did not feel like It was getting clean. This the only drawback I have right now with cushion foundation. I haven’t read that the sponges are anti microbial I am still doing research on the sponge and will report back if I have any exciting news. Since you have sensitive skin and adult acne I would not use this sponge as a precaution.

Tip: In a real pinch use one of the new color balms in a pink or silvery pink and rub it on naked nails before you go out the door. In summer I rub the silvery one on shoulders, hands and earlobes. It doesn't last long on nails but you can take it with you. To make it last longer apply a dab of shimmer powder on it.

Nikol you must get sick of reading my comment of you are my sister I never had. ❤❤ Love watching you. You encouraged me to go silver. I’m 55 and fully transitioned and love it !!!! Love these make up vids. Just a point of interest - have you tried the CoverGirl Smoothers pressed powder ? It is undoubtedly a dupe for something. Love it. Great for mature skin that gets a bit shiny still. It never fails me 🥰🥰 and I’m also a stocker for a green moisturizer or cover to hide a bit of pinkness. 😅 love you God Bless you and Jesus be with you always xo 💖✝️

That looks beautiful as always. Thought I’d share with you my epic fail with the Velcro rollers. I was getting ready for a party and did hair and makeup like the gorgeous Nikol. Don’t know what I did wrong but when the rollers came out I looked more like Cruella De Ville! Straighteners saved the day. Hadn’t laughed so much for ages ❤️❤️❤️
    Much love x

Try blowing your hair out first. Then put in the rollers and mist with a volume spray. Then blow again and let cool down. See if that helps.

Haha, I use those Velcro rollers. Those things are a great invention. I blow dry and then put them in when my hair is just slightly damp but mostly dry….leave them in for about a half hour. Nice volume and lift at the roots

After watching your video (3 times) I decided to get the foundation. I also picked up “Lancôme Absolue péche powder” to set it. (I normally do not wear powder because I have dryish skin and live in FL ) I have been wanting that Lancôme powder for a while (just couldn’t justify the price tag but it was gift time with Lancôme as well as my birthday so what’s a girl to do? …I got it 🥰 I love the combo. I tried the foundation alone and despite it saying matte…it was beautiful and not at all matte…more like a luminous velvet and is exactly as you described, it evens out my skin tone without looking cakey, it doesn’t feel heavy and it doesn’t settle into my find lines or emphasize anything I’m not crazy about. With the powder it just gives me a lit from within look -my husband said I was “glow-y” 🤣. I’ve been on a very long foundation journey. I’ve always taken excellent care of my skin and wore the right sunscreen religiously however once I hit 41 everything changed. My skin was like someone else’s skin. It’s like I woke up one day and everything was off. Suddenly tried and true products no longer worked or looked good on me. Every foundation (for the last 2+ years) I’ve tried drugstore to luxury was just wrong for me and I did my research 🤷🏻‍♀️. Partly pandemic issues but mostly just nothing seemed right on my skin. There were some “okay” ones but nothing that wowed me or even just didn’t may me look older, until this combo. It could be a bit more buildable in coverage but on the other hand, if it were , perhaps it wouldn’t look “airbrushed” and that would ruin it. All of this just to say, THANK YOU. Thank you for your videos, doing the trials/testing and thank you for recommending the DreamSkin foundation!! 😘🌟🌟 it’s gorgeous and worth every penny !

You asked on one of your other videos about your pigmentation under your eyes. When you apply your SPF allow at least 20 mins before you apply foundation, otherwise it could be disrupting and compromising the sun protection properties. And of course big sunglasses and hats/visors, but you know that. x

I looked for your time stamps and see you are in Ft. Lauderdale. I love Ft. Lauderdale. We are from up north, but my parents and grandparents owned property there since the early 50's between Birch Park and the strip. I was so fun. Then they sold that (obviously a good move) but went over to Naples and got into the Port Royal area very early when no-one was there. Naples was nice but boring. I always missed the fun of Ft. Lauderdale. I could probably still drive around there without a map. My youngest aunt went to school up north half a year and to Pine Crest half the year. My grandparents lived in the Fountainhead in Lauderdale by the Sea. I wonder if it is still there. It was beautiful back then when I was a child.

I love your content on here- keep it up. I would however like to see you use a less wasteful product for wiping away make-up. I have a pack of organic muslin cloths and keep a damp one at hand, does the trick and can be used a few times, then goes in hot white wash.

I do exactly what u said! I have my go to every day makeup & brushes on a makeup tray so I can do my makeup in under 10 min including lashes. & yes it most def helps from feeling overwhelmed. When I buy new products I keep them separate & try them on when I'm not so busy. If I have an event I pick out the makeup the night before so it will be ready for me to apply.

You should try Alpha H moisturiser, it’s factor 50! It’s not chalky or very oily. It does need to dry in so do your skin a while before your make up. Also their skin care is fantastic. I’m
Irish I wouldn’t go out even in winter without factor 50. It’s far better for your skin.
