Prior to this video I was convinced that the straight shank hooks were a conspiracy by tackle makers to sell more soft plastics, but what you say makes sense! EWG for me, I'm too poor to spend that much on plastics. Btw, whoever made your hat forgot the "e" in Bridge(ford). LOL

Straight or wormhook ewg were tip and eye is not in line and with large gap 💪

If you use a SS hook in a worm, does the angle of the hook penetrating on one side cause the bait to steer in one direction? Sort of like a rudder on a boat…
