How the hell are there ANY negative comments. I'm a concert pianist, and trust me, every single note was correct and their amazing harmony was impeccable. It's a shame some stupid people cannot recognize a right note from a wrong one.
+SaintMichael305 Nothing wrong with their pitch, but the arrangement is top-ass and they are killing a classic, in my humble opinion ofcourse mr concerto pianist
For these young women who aren't sisters by blood, they do quite well. It's not fair to compare them directly to their predecessors, the Boswells and Andrews, who grew up together and who literally learned their craft simultaneously. I'm just grateful there's enough interest in this music to support modern incarnations who can continue the legacy of timeless popular and jazz song material.
I've seen a lot of negative comments on how it sounds,, considering these ladies are doing a 4 part song with 3 parts, I think they did a wonderful job!!!!
For the negative comments on this video, remember that this is a live version, and I believe that the original version was a studio recording. For people who may not be familiar with the process of recording, that means that there was probably a lot more quality control in the version everybody grew up with.
Obviously, there is only one original, but I think these three lovely ladies did a pretty good cover. I don’t think they were trying to make it exactly like the original 1950s version, but wanted to make it something uniquely their own. Oh, and when I hear this song, I always think it’s funny how back when this was originally written, people had no idea about Liberace 😏
Can anyone tell me what SHOW this is? The SET and the LIGHTING are absolutely perfect and beautiful. I’d love do know what STUDIO produced this. I’m assuming it probably DW. Also, the directing is also superb!
I have never heard of these ladies before until now.. And yes Every Note sounds correct.. I like it, its not the chordettes, but they did a lovely Job, and give justice to this song..
Will Towanda honor the man who wrote "Mister Sandman" at 15 York Avenue? The controversy of 15 York Avenue in Towanda has reached a loud crescendo of disbelief in Bradford County, Pa. The home where Pat "Francis Duke" Ballard wrote Mr. Sandman while he helped to care for his dying mother will not be recognized with a historic sign. This is despite Ballard's written quote :" My mother died in Towanda in 1953, where my wife and I cared for her in her declining last year. It was in our apartment there at 15 York Avenue that I wrote "Mister Sandman" which created over $8,000,000 worth of business, worldwide, and upon the royalties of which my wife and I expect to live for the rest of our days. Having no children, the residue is willed to my late cousin Esther's five grandchildren who live in California with their widowed mother." Hopefully there are still some relatives or famous musicians out there who might plead with Towanda Borough to reconsider promoting this historic landmark. There are very few people on this planet who do not recognize this song and yet unless someone comes to the plate, this magical musical spot will join all the rest of the nondescript structures we drive by without notice.
If you all like this, check out the 1930's group "The Boswell Sisters". They were real sisters and their song arrangements were the best. These gals due justice, but the "Bossies" were the first!

(50s talking as an intro, a bit long...) Fresh, dynamic, pretty, light, pleasant... Each solo can now be improved by strengthening each voice, and it will be close to perfect.
They really sing weel but I think the principal voice is not really present...the lady on the right (who has the highest voice) is too present... except that, it's a good version !
It wasn't too bad until the second verse. Their "harmony" was way wrong. But they do have potential, they just need to work on harmonies. Individually I'm sure they're all great singers.
Desafinado???
+Wlf Superplay These people are very out of tune, and seem to have gone for a rather fast paced tempo that isn't meant for the song. They also seem to be in a slightly different key, creating dissonance. How they breath also seems strained: look at the brown haired girl at 1:37 .

+SaintMichael305 1:31 hear it
i'm a watermelon.
and through my watermelon years i learned that there are no wrong or right notes, but that's just my experience... as a watermelon
Oh snap, a random guy on the net says he's a concert pianist and we're all idiots. Thats CREDIBILITY FOR YOU BITCHES.
@Gnimn
That's part of the charm. It makes them sound post-modern.

Negative comments? People actually have the nerve to complain about this performance?! That’s ridiculous. These ladies are Amazing!
They are adorable!!!😘
I have loved this song since I was very little...
I love them they all look good and sound great. If no one has nothing nice to say about these fine ladies keep quiet .
Saw them live tonight at the Buxton Opera House and they were brilliant.

I came across the Puppini Sisters quite by accident and immediately fell in love with them. They bring nothing but happiness.
How lovingly the bassman keeps unrolling his flying carpet, for the three girls to take off and fly their harmony on. A two-minute musical jewel.
I love their take on it!!
They had to sing it in a faster tempo to fit in the time slot I think.I dig them...They are really good.
Or to avoid copyright infringement, speeded up a bit
Temuco Chile cantan exelente la música del recuerdo genial
I dont think they were trying to sing it better, they just enjoy singing and their voices are still great
they're awesome!
The director who directed this is amazing. Very good directing!
What a great throwback act!
So many comments asking why they are trying to be better than the original. They are not, so chill out.

Класс!!!
Encore mieux live qu'en enregistrement: BRAVO!!
Wow. That was REALLY good.
awesome!!!
Great version. It's not too fast.
odly enoungh im a low alto and yet i cand it in a perfect harmony
Whenever I hear someone speaking German, for some reason, my brain switches to hearing Adolph Hitler.
WTHeck?
So I'm not the only one?
jim galati I keep thinking they're speaking English or French really badly but then I realize it's just German
everytime i hear someone speak kind of english i hear donald trump
jim galati good I thought Im not alone
Music starts at 0:55
Thanks for the tip. I hate long winded intros.
Not sure why all the negativity. They sound wonderful!! And I LOVE THE REDHEAD!!!
You have no right to an opinion if you are in love with one of the singers.
I have to say it's very good just a bit too fast.

Or the Andrew Sisters
Boswell sisters
great version girl's
probably the cutest number I've ever seen
BUM BUM BUM BUM.....
Its actually "bam bam bam bam" meaning mine in German
You are Bam Bam then....lol
Florence Strazza Why would the rest of the song be in english then?
The Arctic Gamer Because it can don't question pure insensible logic...
Nice
wow
Listen to it at 0.75 x for it to sound normal
"(,,,) Mr, Sandman, bring us a dream (...)"
Hahaha...lol..nice

What the Fuck? Are you high?
Lorenzo Martinez Thought so. I'll let cha get back to your pipe Bruh.
so you don't see it?
👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
(50s talking as an intro, a bit long...) Fresh, dynamic, pretty, light, pleasant... Each solo can now be improved by strengthening each voice, and it will be close to perfect.
Anne Hathaway is there too!
+Carlos Lobera Lol
Sorry to see this not the original line up !
I dig the tall lady with red hair , wow
EASY ON THE EARS TOO! But sorry, Stephanie, on the left, is mine. LOL
mUY BUEN COVER
I think it was good but the girl on the left kinda ruined her bam bam bam
It could that the bam bam bam was missing the 4th voice.
The chordettes sang million times better then they (in 1950s) they haven't got voice
Back to the Futur !!!
YOUNG man........you're on the wrong link.
why i am wrong ?
This isn't the original... try searching for 'the chordettes- mr. Sandman
2:34 Ah, yes, the days when women actually swooned over Liberace. Because he was "colorful" and "exotic."
this is actually the original version not the slower version
are you being sarcastic?
They really sing weel but I think the principal voice is not really present...the lady on the right (who has the highest voice) is too present... except that, it's a good version !
I would pick the one on the right the blonde one
they're good but they'll never beat the originals long live the chordettes
das ende!
Where's little Mikey Myers!?!?
Well, not quite the Chordettes, but not bad, not bad at all.
It wasn't too bad until the second verse. Their "harmony" was way wrong. But they do have potential, they just need to work on harmonies. Individually I'm sure they're all great singers.
You have some example of a jazz trio of singers not fake today?
original The chordettes indeed better
like deep alto :)
what is Paris Hilton doing in here :D
*They're not bad for most of the song, but their BOM BOM BOM BOM are so off tune...*
It's in German

I have to on to the far left, if shes not taken that is
The voices are pretty good but they need to slow it down quite a bit and lose the country swing style in the instruments.
I love how they sound but they could at least sing it right
Is that Paris Hilton? :O
Sorry Sir, I don't speak Baguette
wonderful ! ... pity the interminable notice slays the entire performance....
Its German
It is just me or they used this song in mafia 2?
Way to fast & too high pitched,,,
jeepers creepers
I was looking forward to the "yeess", but they didn't even get that right.
the blond is hot but this song in no where near as good
Tf is that weird elf thing.
It's the sandman.
It's probably be better if they actually knew what a harmony was then tried to sing one.
ask your grandparents
lol.. er hat puppini gesagt..
Doesn’t sound right
Vivienne Westwood? XD
This is bad like 2/10 original song much slower and much better 7/10
+He Man this is a bad commentary like 0/10 good commentary have arguments 10/10... It s not the original so what ?
+Wlf Superplay These people are very out of tune, and seem to have gone for a rather fast paced tempo that isn't meant for the song. They also seem to be in a slightly different key, creating dissonance. How they breath also seems strained: look at the brown haired girl at 1:37 .
They only have red dresses??? And, only one tempo???
they have amazing vocals but they are are singing it to fast
