Is it the same with changli drip marketing? I saw a lot of comments back then that she is mid as well, they dont like the hair color, they dont like outfit. The moment they saw her on Jinhsi trailer they began to change their minds, then they saw the forte skills that actually burn her clothes. 😂

I really like Yaos design and also think it’s quite fitting as a scientist. Moreover, I'm glad, not every character has to be super crazy and overloaded with stuff or half naked. People who like a more simple design also want their share of characters. ;) The world is not a circus, so not everyone needs to run around in a fancy dress or a night gown. The gatcha world has so many Black Swans, Changlis and so on, so it's nice to see more simple designs from time to time. :) And for those who don't like such a design... It's a nice break to safe up for the next booba mommy. ;)
yep! I agree! and I honestly love them with each passing days lmao! it suits Xiangli Yao design cuz he is a researcher so having flashy designs doesn't fit a researcher/scientist aesthetic IMO. And Zhezhi looks good as well! suits with painters and how elegant her design was. Especially after seeing the gameplay leaks, I'm sold xD

And one of them is free. I think they purposely did this. To make a breather. Just like in pgr. After 2 big banner patches, they giving 1 free character for you to save for the next banner. And i believe camelya is next. But yeah, drip marketing is mid but their in-game models are good.

Their initial impression was mid personally but the leaked combat animations were great and making me reconsider. Zhezhi paintbrush design reminds me of ToF Liu Huo.
Holy shiz i can't believe I'll see someone mention about Liu Huo. She's my fav unit on ToF, also Zhezhi has an animation that reminds me of that chick with the umbrella that puts umbrellas on some places and then she goes to each of them then nukes everything near the umbrellas

Xiangli Yao gameplay ingame looks very cool
for Kuro, I always wait for the 3D models and their gameplay. Most of the timethey look 1:1 or even better, and the gameplay sometimes completely change my opinions for their characters.

The dude is free and trust me, he is one of the best characters in gameplay. Has the coolest sound effects on his moves and has the coolest looking forte in the game

Exactly. Xiangs animations are way better than the girls 😂. The cinematic close up on his ult looks clean at. He also has the coolest forte ability I’ve seen so far in the game.

You have built a great defense now, too: if the in-game character models and animations end up blowing all our minds (wink wink), you will not even need to change your opinion, because you isolated the marketing from the characters. Of course, adapting one’s opinion to new information is a healthy practice, but you know very well that the internet does not often see it that way. It is good to pad your safety net in advance.

If Xiangli Yao's abilities are flashy and neon bright, I think his design is good, the standard-ish looking soldier with exceptional strength and ability look. But yes, he is still plain looking and that could be a problem

For zhezhis ingame model my only critique is they make her eyes brighter with a bit more saturation they’re one of her biggest parts of her design and I’d think I’d be nice if they pop a bit more

You know, ZZZ has been so good and so fun. I think I'm fine with saying that I'm tapping out of WuWa. In a few months, maybe it'll make it's way to console. If they really wanna be Hoyo's competitor, they can't let them be the sole gacha game creator in the console space.
Honestly i believe xiangli yao design fits his character. after all he is perceived as a cool-headed immaculate mechanical scientist. The minimalistic yet immaculate nature of his design kind of fits his perceived personality. More details doesn't always mean better.
Changli's drip marketing was mid too imo she looked so weird in it, but holy...her in game model and gamplay are insane. So fair enough

I personally like Xiangli’s simpler design over Zhezhi. I feel like it just comes to preference at this point. Tengen was someone I hated the design of, I preferred Rengoku. But then in one episode he had his hair down and I thought he was handsome with a less flashy attire.
So far the in game video looks very nice.

Bros gonna change his mind when he see the guys gameplay. Don’t wanna spoil details. It he has the cleanest moves of any of the male characters in the game and has the best sound effects on his moves. He also has the best looking forte of any character in the game male or female and his ult is arguably the best quality when it comes to ults in the game. Not gonna spoil the details on what his moves are but trust me, you’re gonna love him. He also has an air animations when he stops a combo mid air just like jinhsi. When jinhsi stops a combo in the air she walks on air down to the ground. When xiang stops his combo in the air he slowly flies down with his robot arm like iron man 😂.

With kuro (Unlike genshin or HSR) it ain't all about the superficial looks like the splash art rather the animations, THATS where they speacilize in. Just look at PGR and how god damn gorgeous those attack looks compared to the actual character design.

If the dude is Free (I'm a bit Skeptical) but considering they gave a Standard selector at the Beginning of the Game, at this point anything's possible from Kuro. I'll probably give him the Dr Ratio Treatment and use him. His banner though regardless of the Free rumors, Is an Easy Skip for me.
Honestly, I'm not that impressed with either enough time to be willing to pull. Which is cool because I'll need to start saving again after Changli. :)

It's the same with people complaining about the black/white color scheme in WuWa when that is literally their whole design philosophy and the reason many people like those designs.
