I’de like to see you go do Fuller Phoenix build and then do a comparison video afterwards… Yes I know it used to be Jim’s company, that’s why I would like to see what’s different now
My reardan nitride brakes did back off too so you gotta break them in and they will stop. Thousands of rounds on 2 different brakes using there mount too. Just the first few hundred rounds keep an eye on it. Carbon and just taking can on and off will break it in and you won't have any issues. Reardan should tell people this...
Not to nit pick but....at the beginning of GWOT some 3rd Group friends did in fact use folded Aks as truck guns. As well as pistol grip only shotguns as truck guns. The idea was that mounted against motorcycles they were better than an M9. I've never personally fired an Ak from a vehicle but have seen that done a few times also.
I have a wbp lynx pistol and it held similar group size with the doughnut on the end of the barrel I cut it off and threaded the barrel put a good muzzle device and my groups got a lot around 2.5 3 inches at 50
nice piece sir, ur red dot is low enough for co witness irons, and maybe a handstop wouldn't hurt incase ur hand slips with the short barrel. sure that wasn't a baffle strike? maybe look down there with a flashlight just to make sure..
Regarding your comment on hiding flash on short barrel AKs, the 4 piece is your best bud. Unfortunately not can compatible but they do their job extremely well and look good doing it, imo.
Thank you for uploading great content! I really like your channel and your way of building up the story of a piece of equipment and blending with tech specs :) Please keep filming.
Seems a lot of the higher end AK companies focus more on looks than shooter experience. For example, these metal handguards look great but for heat, the magpul/polymer or full wood would come out ahead. I am not sure why Rifle Dynamics and Meridian haven't focused more on developing better handguard options.
I so want one of these! It would look great sitting next to my Honey Badger and looks like a lot of fun to build. Do you know if they offer classes for us mere non YT guys?
@@weaponologistm107 Thank you. I’ll have to check back on their website later. At this point in time I can’t afford it, I bought a bunch of land am in the process of building a large with a pretty complete machine shop, a house and my own private shooting range. It’s been a lifelong dream of mine but at 61 I’m finally able to swing it.
Holy cow! Doesn’t seem like the juice is worth the squeeze. All the difficulties of putting together an ak, muzzle device causing issues. Loose set screws, etc…
I think it's worth it if you like it at the end of the day. The "difficulties" can be part of the fun and learning. Once you've got it all setup, you have some lore with you and the gun.

Hey Ivan, I can’t seem to find the videos you did at RD. The article still links to the deleted UA-cam video.

Ideal barrel length for 7.62x39 is 11-12” for shorter spectrum. This is for the 1:10 twist rate rotational stability and muzzle velocity combination.
Never tried it but for accuracy work you could use a standard cantilever scope mount, rigged "backwards" to give some clearance over the dust cover
That's exactly what I did with my Lee Armory OD-47, the Occam defense rail doesn't extend pass the dust cover so I had to improvise.
Love the Q stock on there! Great idea
Rifle dynamics is like the Lamborghini of AK makers....cool looking blaster. Personally I like one with a longer barrel.
Lamborghini is a HUGE stretch....
Nah
Jim Fuller days maybe so. Not now.
@@TCraig00got my RD a few months before he left the company. I love it.

The difference will be the Fuller gun will be headspaced correctly
This gun strikes me as "so siiiick" everytime I see it. That blue anodizing with that camo is very nice on the eyes
Titus does killer work!
I always am happy to see a kitbadger vid. love your music choices and laid back style

AR= Legos AK= Bionicals
That thing is soooo rad, I love the camo finish! One day I too will have a quick hatch.
Great video Ivan!!
Ohhhh man I'd love to test drive it!
As he’s screwing it on. 👑
GREAT video
My dream AK!😯🔥🙌😍
Loom so good with that Q stock!
Every time someone says "trunnion" a Brandon Herrera gets his wings.
i think why most people like the idea of shooting with the stock folded is for vehicle work
And the loudest proponents are the ones who never have, nor ever will, do "vehicle work." :)
As one who knows... Don't fire AK in truck. I'll get out and fight or drive away but never again will I fire from inside the truck.

@@KitBadger fair point lol
@@KitBadgernever know. The end of the world is fast approaching. We all might be doing some "vehicle work" eventually.
Props for pointing out You Tube's ignorance. We all need to do the same even if it gets us silenced.

I thought I was the first one to put a Q stock on a AK and now I feel silly. Its still goated in the sauce thou

My guys so thin that the old army doctrine of turning your side to the enemy during engagements makes sense.

You should try the Rearden R2S, it's a much better flash hider than the FHD.
That is way too good looking to be an AK

She is a beauty
I wanted to post a video of myself assembling a muzzle loaded trade rifle from a kit, refinishing the stock and barrel. I guess that's verboten.
ARs are like Legos, lol my bro and I say that. AKs are like technic, the old technic stuff

How did you mount the Q stock to the AK? Did you have to do some modifications?

For example, these metal handguards look great but for heat, the magpul/polymer or full wood would come out ahead. Because wood burns with high round counts, and lack of modularity with the magpul and wooden hardware
Work of Art!

How many rounds before the trigger stuck?
Any plans on building a 5.56 or 5.45 AK?
I had my eye on one of these but now that HB 1240 is looming I’ll probably never be able to get one 😭
WOW
Q punching air over the fact that you put their stock on an AK. :)

They do! You can sign up for classes on their website. There are only a few classes per year, and each class is a different model of AK

Yes the difficulty creates more personally stored value
If you have to shoot folded just use your sidearm.
Ivan, are you a right or left handed shooter? Or do you just train with both?
Well your name is Ivan so I guess its only rite that you have an AK... Awesome video
Definitely the sickest ak I’ve ever seen
Will it run subs?
Yes, adjustable gas on a big port
So how much did this set you back?
Over 3k he said
any chance youll have more stoner grips again?

Whether the AK is 21st century or old Century it will always be viable without any of this tacticool crap on it
