This is what I call a mother providing everything for her kids no matter if they live in a small apartment she makes it work and gives them all the love in the world
I'm so glad this popped up in my feed. I smiled all the way through watching your lovely family, everyone seemed so happy, great to see. That's a very realistic look at making a NYC apartment work for a family. Enjoy these hectic days, they go by fast. May the Lord watch over you.🙏
First off can we say how amazing this mother of 4 looks. How happy and close the family of 6 appear to be, even living in such tight quarters. This just reminds me of an era gone by. How all our neighbors lived and as a kid we never thought anything of it because we were just happy. ♥️
100% true!! I grew up like that back in the 60s & 70s and so did so many of my friends, family and neighbors. We all lived in apts like that and it was families with children as well. Nowadays, everyone has to judge that if a couple has children, they SHOULD live in a large house with all their own bedrooms, etc. Unless one is rich, apt. living like that is the only way to NOT be homeless, lol!!
Absolutely I agree. And today it doesn’t matter the number of rooms no one is actually talking to each other. Now they’re communicating through all the different devices. Annnnd “IF” the family does experience a meal at the dinner table, the table setting includes these devices.
Wow I relocated from NYC to Georgia about 7 years ago watching ur video really brings back great memories of being in NYC apartment. Thank u for this beautiful video ur home n ur family all beautiful 😍
Best apartment tour ever, your energy, humor and joy are delightful. When your husband shouted 'I built it ' I cracked up 😂 and later when your little one shouted 'I built it' I hit the subscribe button. Apartment tours are my guilty pleasure and yours was incredible. I store pantry items in weird places and climb over objects to reach a closet that's the reality of small apartments. You have a nice apartment . I really like the kitchen I'm going to steal some of your organizing ideas, I'll share your content with others you are delight to watch.
Thank you for showing a realistic look at New York living. When I tell people that I raise my daughter in a 350 square foot apartment, they look at me like I'm crazy. But it worked out so well for us that she's still here 😊
I could totally fit my 3 kids and I into a 400 sq ft studio. I sleep on a fold out IKEA couch. And I have a bunk with a trundle on the other end of the room. And we have a little dining space Little kitchen space it’s just enough. I read somewhere a couple of years ago that a person really only needs 100 ft.². So for four people 400 ft.² is just fine.
Congratulations!!!! Thank you for showing people it's okay to live for family. I am so sick of seeing people brag about their big, designer homes and putting more emphasis on 'stuff' than 'love'. I think you guys are terrific - we need more real people like you on these channels. Tell your mom I think the video is wonderful. OMG - you've got a bible in the home, too! A real, down-to-earth person.
My aunt and uncle had five children and lived in a fair sized apartment in Brooklyn. We didn’t even think anything of this. It was a norm growing up. Their apartment was also filled with lots of the neighborhood kids and plenty of love to go around.
One of the best and most realistic NYC apartment tours I've seen, but more importantly one of the most loving homes/families on the web. Here's to continuous happy days in NYC!
You have made that space work without it looking terribly cluttered. Your husband cracked me up he was so proud of that bathroom storage shelf. You have used your vertical space well. Plus you guys have a wonderful sense of humor which makes life so much more fun.
This just happened to pop up in my feed today… kudos to ya for making the space work for your family and you even do homeschooling! Wow! You rock. Now I need to make time to binge watch your channel. I’m a 64 year old woman living in a rural area about 25 miles from San Antonio Tx.
I love your space! It screams family . And all of the additional space you’ve added for storage shows that you want to be together so you go the extra mile to make it work. I don’t see a small space, I see love. With so much negative content on UA-cam today, it’s nice to see something so positive. Thanks for sharing and I wish you and your family all the best.😊
I absolutely 💕 LOVE this. I wouldn't have ever envisioned a family this large in such a small space but you not only make it work your kids look so HAPPY and you family is thriving. You are awesome!!!!!!
We were a family of six, also. Our house was about 900 sq ft. 3/4 bedrooms and 1.5 bathrooms. It was common in the 1960s to live in a small home with a lot of family members (middle class neighborhood). Many people lived in a similar size home (900sqft) with 6-8 kids and 2 parents. Making it work is a matter of respect for self, others and things. We lived lightly and in a very organized manner.
I grew up the same way. 900 sq ft in NJ. 1 bathroom. No storage. We did have a garage and a basement and attic, but my dad mostly collected junk in the garage or rather, his stuff and the basement leaked when it rained so we didn't put much down there due to the moisture.
I love that she's created an environment that is suitable for them. The creativity and additional storage spaces added makes this apartment unique and a big shout out to 'Ikea.'
I sure admire you! To make the most of the space for your family and still be able to homeschool! I love how you created storage above the doors! Cute kids!
We are a family of six. Sadly my baby is now 31. I miss this. As hard as it is and as chaotic as it is I cannot tell you how much I miss them being little. I do now have the added bonus of grandchildren though so that helps. Loved watching this. Brings my memories to the fore. I did have a garden though here in the UK thankfully. That does help. You can throw them outside when they get too much lol. You have a lovely family x
You do a GREAT job at making good use of your space. Your children are adorable and you seem like a loving, close-knit family. Thank you for sharing your home with us!
I accidentally saw this video and when i read NYC apt i was curious. Im also in NYC and love to see real apartments and how us NY people make it work. Not only did you show us how you are adjusting but the love between you and your family made this video the absolute best video i have seen in a long time!
This is a wonderful way to start my day. I just happened to flip thru my feed and here was this beautiful family and their amazing Mom sharing their wonderful home. I love it! God bless this Family and their amazing home. ❤
We were a family of 6 (I was oldest child) living in a one bedroom flat (= rent a floor in a house)in Toronto, for 10 years! There were 2 attic rooms with no heat in winter & blistering sweaty hot in summer but because of them I had somewhere to do my homework, write essays, & play trumpet! My Dad cut the baby’s crib in half to make me a desk! Makes me think of your hubby’s & little guy building those storage shelves! We played musical beds, too - sleep arrangements changed as family grew with two sofas in living room pulling out or sliding down to make beds! Plus rollaway cot in the corner for one brother! Kids don’t need their “own room”. For hundreds of years kids slept together in one room! Your family is obviously thriving, with so much love abounding! ❤
Love that she's homeschooling; I also do with my kids. It's a great way to inculcate your values, protect them and provide a quality education. I have the same washer, it's really great for apartments. You choose what matters most to your family and make decisions/sacrifices to make it happen. 🙏❤
And this is more like it… This is how I was raised with four kids in an apartment in New York City. We grew up with tons of love. I would never change the way I was raised because it gives us such perspective. I love the laughter and the togetherness in this video. Beautiful children beautiful mother. I work at an upscale retirement community and it’s a shame to see how sometimes people have it all materially and still complain yet when you were raised and tight quarters with your large family you learn to appreciate absolutely everything. Best wishes to all of you.
This is the most honest and authentic New York apartment tour that I have seen on UA-cam. This should be essential viewing for anyone considering a move to the city. 😎📚👍
Whew I’m stressed out for her!! She seem so calm and patient. That’s an awesome mom!!! She smiles a lot in such a chaotic environment lol she gets all the flowers 💐
I do understand the constant need to revamp and come up with new ideas for storing and placing things and keeping it relevant and accessible, bless your heary 🎉tfs
It was truly a pleasure to watch a family who was so proud and appreciated every part of who they are. So many times we see Perfection Happy Hour. Yet , you showed us reality in real time. God bless , protect and honor this unity. Shalom
While I feel totally claustrophobic just watching this with all those kids in that space, plus the amount of stuff (my minimalist brain is almost exploding! popping from walls, counters, bathrooms, ceiling, bedrooms with bikes and stuff and more stuff (yikes!) that I cannot even imagine, I absolutely love this mom and I love that this space that has potential to drive me nuts seems so full of genuine love. I, love Mom’s “ this is my space” joyful vibes and Dad’s banter behind the cameras. God bless you all - make a blessed and joyful life ankways and continue to love each other. Trust me, your home is full of all the right things!! ALL OF THE RIGHT THINGS, NOTHING MISSING. when you decide to upgrade, your kids would have had a blessed blessed life. Be good to each other.❤❤💪🏽💪🏽
Your pure joy of life really shines through...what a beautiful family you have! What a blessing to have a mother like you to give so much time and love to your family! Thanks for sharing your family with us! God Bless you all!
Thank God, finally a real NYC apartment and real family! People outside here are getting a very scewed image of how people actually live here. You have an awesome personality, very nice efficient home and well behaved beautiful children!
Thanks for a charming glimpse into your sweet family’s world. You are all amazing, fun, and so loving. My one suggestion would be consolidating in the office to get the dryer and bicycles jn there and out of the bedrooms. Now I turn myself to my own challenges. xo
I love the fact that she showed the reality of NYC apartments and how creative ppl have to be in those spaces. I remember my first NYC apartment (20 yrs ago) and it was definitely not as nice. I love how close and happy this family is. Great video…It made me miss NYC just a little.
I love how you make great use of your space. I try to do the same thing with constant decluttering 😅 Living in these Nyc spaces, we have to make it work as much as we can. Beautiful fam 💕
That was fun! I really appreciate how real you were about your drop zones. I tend to think I'm the only one who has piles in their house! My absolute favorite was the child storage areas. 😍 Gotta have a place to store those kids! 😂
You make me feel guilty that my house feels crowded with three extra people visiting and I have almost three time the space you do 😄❤What a lovely fam!
you would love my microwave stand i got years ago from a catalog. with matching kitchen table, chairs, pots and pans, and cooking utensils. we keep the microwave, plates, some kitchen appliances. those canisters would fit nicely! it came from Fingerhut!
Having a small residence is probably how the couple has four children. Being snuggled up with love makes it so. This video came up on my UA-cam feed and I read the title and checked it out. I am very impressed by the organization and management of possessions well cared for. The children are disciplined and participated in the video without disturbing mom. Thanks for sharing. Smiles
I love this! A happy family making their space, a comfy home, with a seemingly great mom who is grounded in reality! So many of my friends are buying these huge houses, and while I can afford to, we’ve made our smaller home OURS, and with 3 kids, you just have to start getting creative with the space. And we’re all happy!
Okay, this fam-damily and their deliciously real and warm and practical approach to their home and family culture is heartwarming, inspirational, and now one of my favourite home tours ✨ ever ✨. Blessings all over you and your partner and children and newest one!
I would have a hard time living within that space with that many . But God bless your home there in New York . It is hard too keep it all organized you do well .
Wanted to add that of us 4 kids growing up in that Toronto flat - I was 16 when we moved into a more suburban area bungalow (small 2 BDRM & Dad later reno’ed & added 2 Bdrms for boys in basement). But, I, having spent most of my “conscious”, remembered childhood years in the flat, have turned out to be the least materialistic of all, which I think was a very good thing! Learning & experiences are what I collected in my lifetime, not material things! I’m the only one with a University degree because I refused to buy a condo, instead of going to Uni after I’d put my husband through his 4 years of Uni! I did mine over 7 years because I was raising our daughter (born at beginning of my “2nd year”. I managed 3 course credits while she was a young baby. She was born in 2nd week of courses - could manage non-essay ones - psychology & language courses = test’s & exams - No essays - but finished an English major during her age 2-4 years. I was working part-time through my last year of courses. Anyway, the point is, for me, schooling was far more important than getting on the “property ladder”! So having your kids share spaces the way they do & being home-schooled by you (what a hero Mom) I think you’ll be happy with their future goals & aspirations. 😊❤
Typical NYC apartment with a piano, magnifique! The key is organization and storage. Everything fits well, and most importantly everyone is happy. Thanks for the tour. Blessings to the family.
I love your family!! Looks nice and cozy in your home. I thought it was so cute when the camera man( husband) says “I built that!” So proud of himself. When we use our camper, I become very good at storage in a small place. Sometimes you have to put it where it will fit. So you don’t trip over it.
I love that your apartment is REAL and not the magazine beautifully-staged kind! It is very interesting to see how other people arrange their homes. You are doing a great job!
Hello, Patrice, you have a really lovely family, and the love comes through loud and clear!! Space has been maximized and you have made the apt. work very well for all of you. I enjoyed the tour very much, especially the funny comments. 😂 I was born and raised in one of the outer boroughs of NYC, the only one attached to the mainland, and upon retirement decided to relocate to the country. NYC taught me how to live in a small space and I still do. It was good to visit the city vicariously in your vlog, but I stand by my decision to put myself "out to pasture." 🙂 Chuck in Northern New England
Thanks, Chuck! I think NYC has had a lot to teach us 😉 I also enjoy the countryside vicariously through others that share their country lifestyle! How fun that we can all share a little slice of life with each other through these platforms!
@@totallyintegratedfamily- Does the building have a basement with a storage unit for each apartment? A garage? Do you have a car? If you don’t, how do you visit places outside of your neighborhood?
Lmao the couch is where the kids are stored-sounds pretty typical. You did great with such a small space for so many, lots of storage in every little corner, high and low
One question? Why would anyone choose to live in NYC? You could go to so many other cities and get twice or triple the space for less rent, with backyards for the children and less crime? JW
Because NYC is a great time!! cultures from all over the world that create such an experience in all the neighborhoods like chinatown & little italy, awesome old-school restaurants, street art, food carts, the native new yorker banter, people just doing their individual thing and nobody bothers them. it's just a vibe that cannot be found anywhere else.
Because space isn’t always the most important thing to those of us from NYC. Not to mention it’s not as crime ridden as media portrays. As we all know other cities particularly southern cities no culture, or very limited, very little diversity, less love, more incest, more drugs since there’s nothing to do but indulge in nothing, but space is populated. Biracial families can not reside anywhere and feel love particularly when there are children involved.
Some people will only see tight quarters but I see a very close, loving and happy family making things work. ❤
So true! Thank you for sharing ❤
So very true!!! They store SO much love into their home!!!

I love your podcast your a great mother with Lots of patience and love for your family. GOD Bless Your Family ❤
Finally! A realistic view of real NY living. Go on lady!
Thanks!
You know it! We do our best 😉
You poor lady. You are exhausted but you keep a straight face and a smile. God bless you!
That was fun! I really appreciate how real you were about your drop zones. I tend to think I'm the only one who has piles in their house! My absolute favorite was the child storage areas. 😍 Gotta have a place to store those kids! 😂
😂 Glad you enjoyed!
Such a warm and loving vibe, it really lifted me up this morning. As the song goes, 'All you need is love, love. Love is all you need'. ❤❤❤
Yes! ❤
I LOVED THIS VIDEO!!! Reminded me of how my apartment was raising SEVEN CHILDREN!!!!❤❤❤❤❤❤
Oh wow! You're a superhero ❤
I just watched this video and just wanted to say you have a lovely family. I watched a few of the shorts too and subscribed.
Aw thanks 😊
I would get rid of the home office and make it a bedroom again. Would create more much needed space.
Thanks for the suggestion!
You have such beautiful energy. It shows loving mother & beautiful wife. I admire you.
Thank you! 😊
You make me feel guilty that my house feels crowded with three extra people visiting and I have almost three time the space you do 😄❤What a lovely fam!
😆❤
IT'S HOME,SHELTER, LOVE,CAN'T GET ANY BETTER 😊❤
Great video and your family seems to be close-knit and loving. Thank you for sharing your experience living in NYC.
Thank you so much!
you would love my microwave stand i got years ago from a catalog. with matching kitchen table, chairs, pots and pans, and cooking utensils. we keep the microwave, plates, some kitchen appliances. those canisters would fit nicely! it came from Fingerhut!
Smiles
Haha 😂 Good point there 😉 Thanks!
You both are making it work. Great personality.
Thank you so much 😁
I like your lovely family. With 4 kids the apartment is nice and organized. Congratulations.
Thank you so much!
Okay, this fam-damily and their deliciously real and warm and practical approach to their home and family culture is heartwarming, inspirational, and now one of my favourite home tours ✨ ever ✨. Blessings all over you and your partner and children and newest one!
Thank you so much!
I would have a hard time living within that space with that many . But God bless your home there in New York . It is hard too keep it all organized you do well .
Thanks!
I love small spaces. So cozy
😊
Indeed! Thanks!
Typical NYC apartment with a piano, magnifique! The key is organization and storage. Everything fits well, and most importantly everyone is happy. Thanks for the tour. Blessings to the family.
Thank you so much!
Please don’t have E-bike charging by your front door, if that’s your only exit 😮❤
Thanks for the tip!
I love your family!! Looks nice and cozy in your home. I thought it was so cute when the camera man( husband) says “I built that!” So proud of himself. When we use our camper, I become very good at storage in a small place. Sometimes you have to put it where it will fit. So you don’t trip over it.
This is completely my vibe, and sooo charming!!! Protect this women at all costs, she’s a Gem! 😂❤
I love that your apartment is REAL and not the magazine beautifully-staged kind! It is very interesting to see how other people arrange their homes. You are doing a great job!
Thank you so much!!
😊 small space, yet happy family😊
Yes, thank you
What a lovely family! You have my total admiration. Wow! The closeness and happiness you share is evident!
Thank you so much!
Hello, Patrice, you have a really lovely family, and the love comes through loud and clear!! Space has been maximized and you have made the apt. work very well for all of you. I enjoyed the tour very much, especially the funny comments. 😂
I was born and raised in one of the outer boroughs of NYC, the only one attached to the mainland, and upon retirement decided to relocate to the country. NYC taught me how to live in a small space and I still do. It was good to visit the city vicariously in your vlog, but I stand by my decision to put myself "out to pasture." 🙂
Chuck in Northern New England
Thanks, Chuck! I think NYC has had a lot to teach us 😉 I also enjoy the countryside vicariously through others that share their country lifestyle! How fun that we can all share a little slice of life with each other through these platforms!
You are Amazing. Everyone is happy. It isn’t chaotic. You know everything is.
Thank you! ❤
Homeschool!!!! I applaud you but it couldn’t be me.
Thanks! I totally understand 😇
Hilarious! As in "the couch is a kid storage area." Lol. Mom is such a good sport in dealing with the space she has to deal with in creative ways. 😊
Time to move to the burbs......
Haha. Maybe 😅
Beautiful video. What a wonderful family. You are using every inch of that apartment and it is busting with love and laughter!
wondering if a professional organizer would help this family...1100 sq. ft is basically a small house.
Ha. Maybe. But a garage would probably be more helpful 😇
@@totallyintegratedfamily- Does the building have a basement with a storage unit for each apartment? A garage? Do you have a car? If you don’t, how do you visit places outside of your neighborhood?
@@bernadettedevereaux8694 Public transportation. Hello? NYC has the best public transportation in the country. Wait a minute.. are you in Texas?
