I agree, Marathon will not be able to sustain Bungie. They have to do Destiny 3 or something else.
Maybe they can remaster some old Playstation shooters like Killzone or Resistance. I'd play a Killzone remaster but idk if there's a large enough market for that.

How are you still talking about development on Destiny 2? It's too late dude. Nobody plays anymore and they wrapped up the story lines very well in The Final Shape dlc, and they aren't even fixing bugs in the game anymore. For example, the winter festival baking oven has a bug where it doesn't show that its master worked, but they just let it sit like that. Constant crashes to dash board on Xbox series X. I think Destiny players are really done with the franchise as a whole. I know I am.

Part of the reason bugs aren't being fixed is because it's Christmas break and people at Bungie are taking time off to be with their families. Not defending the mistakes, I genuinely hate where Destiny has been recently, but take the holidays into account.

@@Make_Pepe_Great_Again Good luck fixing a thing after the event is over... yeah I know they are spread thin and on vacation, but one would think that if this bug was there a year prior, they would have avoided it the year after. But it's more than that. There is no more main story, and I just don't miss the world of Destiny anymore when I'm not playing it. Nor do I like being in it when I'm logged in. Having much more fun in other games like Warframe, Palworld, and indie titles.

It's so much worse than being short staffed during the holidays. Between the several rounds of layoffs, allocating staff to Marathon development & Sony moving staff to other projects, Bungie's only revenue generating title is just about on life support 🙈

The problem with Bungie is that the decision to make destiny 3 should have been made at the launch of witch Queen at the latest. That way by the time the final shape launches, you have something other than Marathon to look forward to. Nobody asked for Marathon. Especially for it to be an extraction shooter.
They let the sentiment around their company and the franchise get so low that it's too late now. This decision will haunt them until Sony takes over

It's as everyone feared Xbox is going 3rd party and will let other companies make the console.
If you want to own your game don't buy an xbox😂

Destiny 2 is not dying, It's one of the 100 most played PC/Console games in the entire World lol. Yes there's a ton of bugs, I logged onto World of Warcraft yesterday for the first time in a month and had a 15 year old bug rear it's head within 20 minutes. Stuck in combat. The playerbase is just bored with the repetitive content. Frontiers seeks to fix that./

The game has been slowly dying for years and things are getting worse, which leads to a sudden drop in the number of players that we see ourselves, so any kind of denial of the facts that are clearly noticeable does not help anyone, the second thing is that I think you are not being honest because let's say that the bug you mentioned is mostly part of the synchronization with the server, which is mostly a problem with the internet and not with the bug itself. Whereas, for example, the bugs in D2 are real bugs that have been there for years and nothing is being done about it while the micro and macro monetization of the site is increasing.
