  • Samuel L. Jackson's character Jules in Pulp Fiction brought attention to a specific passage of scripture in a way that few movies before or since ever have. In the film, Jules concedes, "I never gave much thought to what it meant."
In this lecture, Steve discusses Ezekiel 25:17 and encourages us all to follow along with Jules as well when he says, "I'm trying, Ringo, I'm trying real hard to be the shepherd." Understanding this passage correctly is a good start!
Steve's book on unifying science and spirituality can be found here:

For some reason I have been thinking about this speech in Pulp Fiction, and I searched YT for some knowledge when I came across this video. At first I was expecting some kind of Christian Dogmatic rebuke of the movie interpretation, but you turned this into a truthful and interesting reflection on how real spiritual development works. Thank you for this work!

That is what makes that movie right there. Yes it is a romp of a good time watching cinematic art with great dialogue from beginning to end. Each chapter of the movie is from various points of view from one character to another of the same scene. The diner scene from Julie's point of view of coarse stands out the most and what everything is building up to. Jule's dialogue is powerful and thought provoking. It is intense. It causes self reflection whenever I watch Pulp Fiction and noone could have given that part of the script such power like Samuel Jackson had. Alot of people who have never watched it think it's a lot of shooting throughout when infact it has more drama in it than action.
    Great breakdown sir.

I really enjoyed how you went beneath the surface level into a more metaphysical state. i.g. Lord is equivalent to Self. I will watch more. Thank you.

I have read many spiritual books of many different religions, and this dawned on me that The word 'Lord" or 'God' is used as a moniker for 'NATURAL LAW OF LIFE' . Whenever Humans break natural law they always lose peace of mind sooner or later that is Vengeance of the Lord.

Born again? What is that? Imho, it is upon completion of the Divine union. God=Bridegroom and Creation/Man/Woman=Bride .
Meaning when we complete this heroes journey, we recreate that which created us, i.e. the light. This light is dualistic because it is the Word made flesh through union in each of us. The communication from God (the light) is both Lucifer the creator and Jesus the Redeemer. Thanks Steve awesome lecture

*_It goes a bit deeper than that. Tarantino was always a big 60s-80s martial arts genre fan, so as a tribute to that, he used the Ezekiel reference which was originally in Sonny Chiba's Bodyguard film opening scene. The man is a genius, and a perfectionist._*
