@@johndeeremaster A very seasonable request but unfortunately, the Defender already has a heater. It is amazing to plow snow with the toasty warm cab to sit in. Thanks for checking out my video.
Great video that explains the assembly in a manner the written instructions don't come close to. As per usual manufacturers are saving a few pieces of paper by mixing in every possibility in one document. I'm sure it helps them the customer not so much.
I agree, manufacturer instructions are often a bit vague and confusing. Although, BRP instructions do tend to be better than many others. Additionally, I find the BRP accessories to be well thought out, almost like the machines and accessories are designed at the same time. I have a similar video of installing a plow on my RZR and it is no where near as smooth of an undertaking. Thanks a lot for watching.
Looking at the specs of the 2019 hd8 it looks to have about 50 HP and 50 LB of torque. How do you find it handles the 72" blade. Do you find it to big at all. I ask as I'm getting the new HD7 and the engine specs are about the same. I'm trying to decide what size plow 66" or 72' thanks
We have had no shortage of power or traction but plow in low gear and with the diff locked. We also have not tried to deal with two feet of heavy wet snow either but video showed the machine pushing about 8 inches of undisturbed snow on the ice and there were no problems. Hope this helps.
Thanks for the info. Just ordered 2022 Defender XT HD 10 with a 72” steel pro plow. Won’t have it for a few months bur Should have any issues with the HD 10 then. Great video seemed like a pretty simple install.
The plow was purchased from my local Can-Am dealer. This is my Father's Defender and he believes it cost him around $1500 for the frame, blade and mounting plate. (Canadian Dollars)
What other accessories would you guys like to see installed on this Defender? Leave me a comment below and maybe we can give it a try.
A heater

Impressive how the mount bolts right up with no drilling needed.
What is the part number for the mount you used? I cannot find it.
Hey Thomas, I am away from the shop this week so I can't dig up the part number but I will see what I used when I get back.
