      1. Less gear. Just use the basic. But you have to tell the client first that this is the gear you use to achieve this kind of video.
      2. Brief your actors and clients.
      3. Bring an efficient production crew.

I must say, that this one question about "what's the problem" was some eye-opener to me. I've struggled with client works for some time, got demotivated and stopped making videos. Because I started to feel overwhelmed, when I have to make some video. Now I get back happiness and joy, and this video is some next step in my process. Thanks MB!

Beautiful work! never gave it much thought, but being intentional about the story / purpose not only makes for a better end result, but is a huge time saver. Little bit of thought and prep makes a big difference. Definitely takes practice though to have the confidence rather than wanting to cover all bases.
My fav time-saving-trick only works for projects with multiple deliverables, but I love the efficiency of batch filming in one location. Eg in one day getting most of the material for 6 deliverables for that client. Shooting separately would have taken 6 half days, longer if you include transport, charging batteries etc etc

Can’t agree enough with simplicity. I hate being rushed because it’s taking too long to setup all the gear and accessories that may help but aren’t super necessary. The client just wants a good product / results. Especially on fast-paced shoots, it’s such a relief to be up and ready to shoot in just a few minutes.

Great video dude, I agree with keeping it simple and straight to the point. Especially dealing with clients and figuring out “what problem does this video solve”. Hey Mark, great video! I love the simplicity. Will you be offering a course geared towards how to make these doc style promo corporate videos for small businesses? Something geared for a solo shooter/ one man band would be great. Obviously how to best structure the story/ad, but also cinematography tips on camera/composition and especially lighting! I haven’t done too much office type stuff, but I just did two shoots in the past week in an office and I struggled mightily with lighting issues, bad overhead lights, no natural light. etc. What do you do when it’s just you, no gaffer and grip truck, just one camera and a couple 600ds? Sometimes changing locations is not an option. This kind of stuff would be super helpful in a course and I’m sure there are a lot of solo filmmaker like me in the same boat trying to make it work on a budget, both time and money. Thanks!

Build some visual subtext into the frame. Not just good lighting but good lighting on stuff in the background that speaks to what the subject is doing and saying in the foreground.
