sorry to hear your father died -- mine recently did too. This video contains a message truly everyone needs to hear... all that matters in this world is doing what we love, healthily, with other people that we love and that love us :)
Yeah, it was a combination of 2 masks one with the reflection of the book that tracked the iris and one subtractive mask that tracked the eye lid so the reflection disappeared every time I blinked. It was my first time using this much masking in one shot so it's definitely far from perfect. Hope this helps👍🏼
Thanks for the support, I broke my zv1 a few months ago so now in my newer videos I use the zve10 ii. What I can remember from using the zv1, is to always expose correctly and shoot in a flatter picture profile so you don't lose detail in the shadows and highlights. Also use the widest aperture (f1.8-2.8) whenever possible and shoot with a shutter speed 1/double your frame rate for background and natural motion blur. In terms of color grading, the way I correct and grade my footage is always changing and it honestly just depends on your own eyes and what you deem "cinematic" and just takes a lot of experimentation. At the end of the day, the composition, lighting and depth within each shot is probably the most important and is what I mainly focus on whilst shooting. Hope this helps:)

Underrated
amazing message bro
I was wondering, what did you do to achieve that eye reading shot with the reflection of the book, was it just simple masking?

Hey I have a zv1 too and was wondering what settings you use to film and color grade to get the cinematic look! Great work :)
