The more people that can relate to it through the different ways of being able to see it or be able to draw similarities to that song to something that was occurring in their daily life um. The more aspects you can make it relate the more likely your song will become a great success the more people that can relate to it the better
I mean it's a standard country music " struggling when we were younger/tough past but now happiness has arrived" anthem that doesn't seem to have an iota of sarcasm in it to me. If she intended that, she was too clever by half. If that's what you read into it, im not sure the writers get the credit for that lol

I liked Jo Dee Messina back in the 1990s and I did not realize that she is still an active performer. I am glad to hear that, I thought that she had discontinued performing. She has a number of concerts scheduled in the South and Midwest. I thought that I'm Alright was one of her best songs.

My Nephews, when they were young, were her biggest fans (they joined her fan club and we went to her club concert at fanfare) to this day she is still at the top of our favorites and my oldest sister is one of her biggest fans... talk about an age range!!
