I never used it & wondered if I should have even bought it. Now I figured I would deep dive into it and I am so glad I got it. It is badass plane. I remember the Vipers taking off in pairs all day long while I was deployed to Iraq, truly badass!
Don't know why it's so hard for other youtubers to just make concise tutorials like this. Redkite is good but bland, spud gives us 20 minutes of irrelevant history, and grim reapers videos make me want to die. Thanks for making something to the point and easy to understand.
@@yieovgwqxaz7912 GR tutorials are wild because half the time they don't know shit themselves. Like in all the Ka-50 tutorials the presenter is fighting the autopilot, not understanding how it works, all while trying to make a "tutorial". Tricker knows what he's talking about.

I've been putting off this model it's setting in my hanger until ED creates more systems but it looks like they are starting to get it up to speed. I know it takes a lot of time to create these videos and I hope you continue creating more, so when I pull the trigger to hope over to the F16 I have a one stop shop for learning.
Great video mate. Really cleared some things up for me. Do you know if you put it into bore mode on the right MFD, if it's stuck in the boresight mode with the JHMCS? i.e you can't use HUD/vertical scan?
When you were in boresight submode you were able to uncage a lock by the eclipse if im right the (hmcs). But when you uncage the lock. It looked kinda odd, by aft the lock the eclipse hmcs was turned off and it made the boresight submode lock only by the hud. So, how do you aft the lock by still keeping the eclipse (hmcs) ON to switch to another target? I really like your informative videos there so easy to follow. Keep it up!
If you lock a bandit with the ellipse, you use TMS aft short to unlock the bandit. You will still be in ellipses mode. If you unlock the bandit with tms aft and do tms aft again, you will now be in boresight
Question:^If the Missile is in bore mode and you are using the vertical scan, will it lock the missile right ate the time you get him in the sight? or do I still need to use uncage?
I like your cockpit settings. What FOV are you using? It looks realistic without any wide angle distortions at the edges. The hud looks properly centered and sized yet we still see much of the cockpit. Can you go into detail on your settings such as seat/head position and FOV?
Click A/A on the UFC to switch to AA and then click again to go to Nav. The way I do it is move the dogfight switch back to the center position. The center position on the switch is the default one with neither mode active, returning the Dogfight Switch to the center cancels either Dogfight Mode or MRM Mode and returns the jet to the state it was in when the switch was set to an override mode.
@@TrickerDCS ok then i need another bind on my x52. don't have center position .. i just have dogfit mode setup so i can use my gun. thanks. but this will reset the HUD back to the way it was before i hit gunfight mode?

That is the proper logic but sometimes in DCS it doesn't work the best (drops lock).
I had read that uncaging the aim9 is optional. I've always launched it immediately when bogey is boxed while in acm.
I would recommend uncaring the missiles at the present moment to get a proper track

I just use the default positioning, no mods or custom settings on the positioning. I just maybe maybe zoom out a little

Yep that's correct! I usually fly in MRM or missile override most the time I'm flying and go to dogfight when I'm merged

There's a rotary knob above the throttle on the left to enable/disable the HMD
