    I plan on purchasing your shaving soaps for Wet shaving. I see that your shop opens on Oct. 7 of this year, just a week or so away at this point. Can't wait to try your soaps!

    Thanks! We need a after shave balm recipe! To combine with the same scent of the soap, and finish the Shave ritual without irritation 🙏🏻
    Thanks again!!! ❤

    I made soap today & accidentally left out one of the oils! I had the avocado oil sitting out but still overlooked it! Oh well, can't undo it. It's still fun to make soap & I love watching you expertly make it.

      @Rastarunt 7 років тому

      Pat Wagner Yes you can!! Grate the soap you just made and melt it in the crockpot and add the oil you forgot. I think you have like 24hrs to fix a soap in a crockpot if you forgot an oil. PH test it before using it though just to be safe

      Pat Wagner were you able to fix it?

    • @patwagner9308
      @patwagner9308 7 років тому

      How nice of you to ask! Well, as it turns out, the recipe was figured w/ a lye discount already in place...& since I left out one of the smaller amounts of oil, after calculations, the lye was only .04 oz. over. I tested the soap w/ a pH strip & it turned very dark. Also, when I cut the loaf, it didn't crumble at all....so ! I think it's OK & won't need fixed.
      The recipe is from Willow & Sage.

    Très interessant, Ariane. C'est la première foi que je vois comment on fait du savon à raser, que j'utilise tous les jours depuis des années. Beaucoup de vocabulaire technique anglais... ...et beaucoup de travail pour arriver au but.

    A little question about EOs, if you could give me tips i'll appreciate so much :-)
    Making shaving soap for myself just for fun, cannot find out how many EOs should i add to the mix in order to have a medium-strong scent. Should i count a % starting from total fats weight at start or from the final soap weight? First 2 tries failed, too weak scent, first was 32 grams of EOs per Kg of fats, next time 46 grams EOs per Kg of fats, still weak.
    Thank you!

      That a start, my boyfriend will only use the electric razor! So my dad is my go to when formulating and testing shaving soap

    • @ajohnson153
      @ajohnson153 7 років тому

      I sometimes will use an electric razor, but I find that lathering up with some shave soap or cream (I use C.O. Bigelow from Bath and Bodyworks which is the same as prorasso) helps prevent the rash that I sometimes get from my electric razor.

    I have never seen you make any kind of HP soap before, so I really enjoyed watching this! I also have never seen a shaving soap made at all, so a dual treat for me. Do you prefer CP to HP because of the design flexibility and end consistency of the soap, or are their other reasons? Thanks for another awesome video! -Diane in Tampa, FL
