I plan on purchasing your shaving soaps for Wet shaving. I see that your shop opens on Oct. 7 of this year, just a week or so away at this point. Can't wait to try your soaps!
Thanks! We need a after shave balm recipe! To combine with the same scent of the soap, and finish the Shave ritual without irritation 🙏🏻 Thanks again!!! ❤
I made soap today & accidentally left out one of the oils! I had the avocado oil sitting out but still overlooked it! Oh well, can't undo it. It's still fun to make soap & I love watching you expertly make it.
Pat Wagner Yes you can!! Grate the soap you just made and melt it in the crockpot and add the oil you forgot. I think you have like 24hrs to fix a soap in a crockpot if you forgot an oil. PH test it before using it though just to be safe
How nice of you to ask! Well, as it turns out, the recipe was figured w/ a lye discount already in place...& since I left out one of the smaller amounts of oil, after calculations, the lye was only .04 oz. over. I tested the soap w/ a pH strip & it turned very dark. Also, when I cut the loaf, it didn't crumble at all....so ! I think it's OK & won't need fixed. The recipe is from Willow & Sage.
I have some rice bowls that would be perfect for this purpose. I've been wanting to try a shave soap as my husband has very sensitive skin. Thank you for this.
great video! why did you add the castor oil once the hard oils were melted? why not add it along with those? Also why did you dissolve one type of lye first, why not both at the same time? thank you
HI , just watching the video , a question what happened since the shaving brush has dripping the water on the shaving creme and any affected the balance shaving in the cane?
Great video tutorial! I've never made double lye soap, that was interesting. I make HP shaving soap and fill it into the stainless steel bowls, very similar. I love your ceramic bowls, very cute! :) Thanks for sharing
A little question about EOs, if you could give me tips i'll appreciate so much :-) Making shaving soap for myself just for fun, cannot find out how many EOs should i add to the mix in order to have a medium-strong scent. Should i count a % starting from total fats weight at start or from the final soap weight? First 2 tries failed, too weak scent, first was 32 grams of EOs per Kg of fats, next time 46 grams EOs per Kg of fats, still weak. Thank you!
hi. me and my daughter love your videos (shes 7 btw). made candles for years and want to get into soaps. we have ordered your products. her fav is the heart soap and i love the coffee one with star. wanted to request a video on lip balm. i love your vanilla sugar one and would like to start making lip balms myself. thank you in advance
Hi, not sure if you are going to see this as the video was so long ago. Love you videos, so glad I found them, have learnt so much. Also is there any way for me to get your recipe?
Thank you for this~ do you have to use a crock pot for this recipe ~ or can you use a microwave? It seems like you have a few specialty oil/butters~ are these available in the USA? Thank You!!!
Hi Ariane, I try to see all the videos as soon as they arrive to my email. Is wonderful to see all products you make . I enjoy very much watchimg them. Congratulations from San Miguel de Allende, Mexico.
I love your videos I really enjoyed you driving us to your beautiful soap shop. So when you have the shaving soap in the bowl you just keep using it from the bowl until it gone? Will it get soggy because water has been added from the brush? You do a beautiful job.
Amazing! I haven't seen hot process soap being made before... I'm always asking my bf if he would like me to try shaving soap but he only goes through a puck of it every few years hehe.
I sometimes will use an electric razor, but I find that lathering up with some shave soap or cream (I use C.O. Bigelow from Bath and Bodyworks which is the same as prorasso) helps prevent the rash that I sometimes get from my electric razor.
awesome! I love using "real" shaving creme'/soap vs that stuff from the store in cans that contains a ton of alcohol which drys out yer face! The bowls are very cute too! Thanks for making this video!
I have never seen you make any kind of HP soap before, so I really enjoyed watching this! I also have never seen a shaving soap made at all, so a dual treat for me. Do you prefer CP to HP because of the design flexibility and end consistency of the soap, or are their other reasons? Thanks for another awesome video! -Diane in Tampa, FL
Totally! Cans are such a waist! Here, once the soap is done, you get to keep a super cute bowl that you can either refill or keep at home for other purposes!
Pamela LeMaster Hi Pamela, the recipes are all in the « post » section. From a computer, you can click the featured tags: tutorial or recipes and all past recipes are there. I also have a few « recap posts » that contain many under the same. Make sure to log in from a computer as some people have issues from mobile.

thank you! I will do that. I'm still learning so I appreciate help from more experienced soapers.
Pat Wagner were you able to fix it?
How nice of you to ask! I'm very impress by the thickness of that lather!! Cool formula!
Just wonderful! The pots are adorable.
Always makes me smile to see a new video from you :)

HI , just watching the video , a question what happened since the shaving brush has dripping the water on the shaving creme and any affected the balance shaving in the cane?
When we use liquid germal plus preservative in diy lotions it extends the shelf life of the lotion. What is the estimated shelf life of the lotion.
I wonder how does it use for body wash? Pls reply
This is potentially the most fascinating thing I've ever seen
I want to know where I can get a stock pot like the one that you used to weigh your oils in.
I love the handmade bowls!! This was great to watch. Thank you.

Would an ice cream scooper (the kind that clicks out the ice cream for you) make it easier to dish up the same amount every time? Great video.

Thank you so much!!! You are an amazing soul
Amazing! I haven't seen hot process soap being made before... I'm always asking my bf if he would like me to try shaving soap but he only goes through a puck of it every few years hehe.
That a start, my boyfriend will only use the electric razor! So my dad is my go to when formulating and testing shaving soap
I sometimes will use an electric razor, but I find that lathering up with some shave soap or cream (I use C.O. Bigelow from Bath and Bodyworks which is the same as prorasso) helps prevent the rash that I sometimes get from my electric razor.
Your always so inspiring thank you for your videos
awesome! I love using "real" shaving creme'/soap vs that stuff from the store in cans that contains a ton of alcohol which drys out yer face! The bowls are very cute too! Thanks for making this video!
Old-Fashioned shaving soap is the best! Even for us ladies! Silky smooth shaving and much more earth friendly :-)
Those bowls are so cute! Where did you get them?

I love the feeling of washing with HP, but I love the design possibilities CP offers!
your so talented!!
Perfect. Awesome
Hey beautiful, where can I get some shaving soap?
Very cool! Do you include the brush in with the total package too, or is that separate?
It is separate as some people like to choose their shaving brush :-)
Ariane Arsenault Ok yea, that makes sense. I love them. Much cooler than goo from a can, lol!
Totally! Cans are such a waist! Here, once the soap is done, you get to keep a super cute bowl that you can either refill or keep at home for other purposes!
Love all your videos ❤️
hello what about packing
DO YOU SELL A REFIL?
I joined and am now supporting yesterday. The patreon page thing is not working for me? took forever to write a post for the community thing........

I love that you support local businesses! Oh, where do you get your rubber spatulas?
just here, from a kitchen supply store, they are Trudeau
can you make this on the stove instead of a crock pot?
I cook soap on a stove, double boil method
thank you so much for this video it was awesome
that's an awesome whisk
Nice but doesn't that long hot cooking impair the beneficial effects of those luxury oils and butters?
Awesome soap!
Hi Ariane!
I love your videos. If I subscribe to Patreon, will you have a recipe available that has more traditional and available oils?
Keep up the good work!!! 😊
Thank you for the video!
