I moved to Norway 5 years ago. Best decision of my life!
23 years here. Same feeling
May I ask How old were you when you’d moved?
I was 32 years old
@@pure8591 did you move from America? I love this country. I want to leave America!
@@tp1201 I moved from England 👌 You won't regret leaving America!
Norway has some of the most beautiful breathtaking sceneries in the world 💕🙌❤
Happy to be Norwegian
Norway might be the most breathtaking country I have seen! And this is coming from a fellow Swede.
Wow! 😉
Better than switzerland?
Norway and Switzerland is pretty much the same, you just get a lot more of it in Norway + one of the worlds longest ocean coastlines.
But we make Ockelbo-snowmobiles in Sweden and we have the Dala-horse. We also invented the word "Fika" that means to eat between meals. Are you sure about Norway being better than Sweden?
As a Norwegian I agree I liked this video yes!!!!👍😅
God's creation is astounding beauty 💞
Norway has some of the most beautiful breathtaking sceneries in the world!! ❤️💕🙌🙌❤️ definitely top on my bucket list of places to visit. 👍👍😀😀
Me too!!! Right up there with Ireland.
Tromsø would definitely be on my list! I love Northern Norway, it's much more than just the Lofoten archipelago. And don't forget that the North also gives you the opportunity of experiencing the midnight sun or the stunning northern lights.
No, you shouldn't go to Tromso directly. You should go to Alesund , drive to Kristiansund (see the Atlantic road), drive to Trondheim, drive to Bodo, take ferry to Reine (prebooking it!!!), hike in Reine, then drive to Tromso, then to Senja (watch northern light if you can), then drive to EVE airport. This should take about 7-10 days.
Agree,. And the best way to go is via Gdańsk Poland, no joke
Norway and Sweden are my Two favourite countries, i love Northern Sweden so much for some reason
In Norway they don't accept to be compared to a flat-land and wooded country like Sweden. And why wood they? Norway is on another level. Sweden should be compared to Denmark - the doofus country in scandinavia.
I'm heaiding to Norway for the first time on Saturday. Traveling the entire length of the country.
Drop in for a cup of coffee, haha
@@Reidar911 I would, but I had to cancel yesterday. Supposed to leave today. I got spooked about all of the re-entry rules for COVID for US citizens. I also had some trouble getting an appointment for a test within 24 hours before departure, whole thing just rubbed me the wrong way so I cancelled. I'll go when I won't have to worry about all of the crazy rules.
@@avestuart , sorry to hear.
@@Reidar911 It's a serious bummer. I'd be at the airport in Seattle right now as I type this comment, checking-in for the flight to Amsterdam. Flight leaves in three hours. I really really wanted to go today. But when the government lifts the re-entry restrictions i'll try again, perhaps toward fall. Feels as though i'm stuck in the US, LOL. But disappointed.
@@avestuart , let's then hope that another problem doesn't stop you, war in Europe! Could very well happen, I'm afraid.
Wonderful nature...beautiful country...
I'm glad you said the Pulpit or Prekestolen is actually a long and potentially demanding walk. Lots of people don't get that.
There are so many others places to see in Norway.
Nice video.
Agree. Kinda disappointed he only mentioned Lofoten in the Northern part of the country - there is SOOOOOOO much more to enjoy and explore :)
@@johnnymartinjohansen same with Kristiansand with Suthern Norway. All the smal coastal towns like Risør, Kragerø and Arendal and the suther coast in general are well worth a visit.
I very like these places . I would like to travel to Norway in the near future ✈️💜
Cool stuff 👍ciao from Italy 🇮🇹🇮🇹🇮🇹🇮🇹
Trondheim, my hometown ♥
Will i be able to get job there, from india
Norway is beautiful country
That's really cool and interesting lovely country Norway. Keep it up and more vidz to come my friend
frighteningly beautiful Norway🇳🇴❤
Nor-way would I MISS this one!
😍 Loved Norway - my route Kristiansand, Stavanger, Bergen, Oslo, Åndalsnes, Trondheim, Bodø and Lofoten Islands. Will definitely go back to see the northern lights
Welcome back to Norway! 😀
Sad you did not include places farther north than Lofoten. Tromsø in midnight sun and northern lights, ice hotel, nature and sled dog in Alta. Svalbard. Not to forget the friendly and helpful people you meet up there, the best ones in the whole country. It is the forgotten area with places just as stunning as in the rest of Norway, sometimes it is even more beautiful than the rest of it(did I forget the midnight sun and northern lights?). We had a poet that once said, "det meste er nord", or "most of it is north"
"Sad you did not include places farther north than Lofoten. "
I appreciate it. There's already much too many people there, so let's keep the secret of Tromsø, Alta, the Lyngsalpene, Kvænangen osv. 🤫
Jeg er helt enig med deg! Det meste er nord.
Thank you from Kirkenes!
I should have included the Upper Pasvik National Park :) @@doublebirdie
@@Haakonisak As it is beautiful, it is cold as hell in winter, and mosqitos and other insects destroys your summer, but it is pretty, yeah.
Visited Oslo and a couple of other places and visiting again in four weeks time all the way up to The North Cape, so excited.
Quality stuff mate.
*Norge er et veldig vakkert land!*
Great video!
素敵な景色で旅行に行きたくなります🇳🇴

Beautiful video, succinct commentary and LOVE the music too!
I want to be there right now😇❤😍
Nice video. I have been in all those locations except Kristiansand, Preikestolen and Flåm. I have passed Kristiansand by the road E18 and skipped Preikestolen even I've been driving quite near to that too. Maybe on my future trips to Norway.
My beautiful country! 😃 ❤
Thanks for showing it to the world.
(It doesn't matter that some names were written and pronounced wrong)
How are the universities there? I want to pursue my PHD in mathematics there as an international student🥺
Greetings from Finland. I don't like your country. I LOVE IT!
(Last time I was there a year ago, on Varangerhalvøya)
The beauty is so unbelievable.
We hiked Pulpit, Trolltunga, Reinebringen in Reine and Hesten in Senja within 11 days of Sept We also saw the northern light at Medfjord of Senja (stay up till 1:30am,the best we watched happened around 1AM.)
We drove from South to North, but it was rainy when we drove through Stryn, Geiranger and Andalsnes, will visit again!!!
@@debasishsarma5195 They are among the best in the world. And free even for foreign students.
Yes, very beautiful indeed, but must be aware of kind of people as Breivik
Well information. Good show. Good show. Well information.
Fantastic video.
The cliff scene at the end of Mission Impossible 6 were filmed at Preikestolen. One car chase scene in James Bond "No Time to Die" were filmed on the Arctic Road in Norway, also shown in this video. Upcoming Mission Impossible 7 and 8 have a bunch of action scenes from west coast of Norway. Marvel's Black Widow also have scenes from west coast. Tom Cruise and Hollywood got a fetish for Norway in recent times.
Thx bc i live in norway :) 🇳🇴🇳🇴🇳🇴
Like your commentary. Lots of information.
May I ask that if I’m a tourist from Asia planning solo travel to Norway without any debit or credit cards , just cash , would I be able to find some cafe that accept cash and able to ride bus using cash ?
you will be able to take the bus only using cash, and most shops and cafes take cash:)
Wow
Thank you! 💚💙💜
Beautiful country ❤️
Wery important to mention Bergen also held capital of norway title once
Wonderful 💕💖
Love seeing Kristiansand on the list🥰
Beautiful city. Unfortunately most tourists are only attracted to the beautiful nature surrounding Alesund. They should visit the cities
Beautiful
Nice 👍, but don’t forget about kind of people as Breivik in Norway
Jå vi elsker dette lander
The Flåm railroad without showing anything of it ? Besides, 2 of the film clip are taken elswhere, Aurland and Vik in Sogn. PS: Lofoten islands are some of the most touristy places in Norway, Othervise a good film.
Coming Norway in this November.. need your help guys.. best places to visit in 1 week.
i would recomend a city in the north called tromsø, it is a city sorrunded by mountains, and in november you are able to see the northern lights, you can hike up most of the mountains too:)
Oslo is my town
🇳🇴
Kristiansand, 👍
Great video. Wish the music was a bit more up-lifting. Music in the video was quite depressing for a travel video
Hm ok
My top 3 countries: 1 South Africa 2 Iceland 3 Norway
i would be thankful of you.
bit disapointed you dident mention anything about boat trip trough "blindleia" from kr.sand to Lillesand, because thats one of the most beautifull boat trips you can do in the world, and bit of a hidden Gem spesially few tourists know about
You said Bergen was Disney's inspiration for Frozen, but that actually was Arendal in the south of Norway
how could we get visa of norway from asia?
I will look into it for u
all beautiful places, with the exception of Bergen. Try to avoid that city, as there is not much unique things to see, and most days it rains a lot. You can also easily avoid Oslo without missing anything special
What is the song at 00:07
Ingin ke Lofoten❤
Please respect orthography and pronunciation of norwegian names. English rules (of thumb = received pronunciation) do not apply: You have undergone your Great Vowelt Shift (look it up), others haven't. Example: 'Flam' is written Flåm, the å is spoken as o (norwegian o is mostly spoken as u), the syllable is long.
YO I LIVE IN ÅLESUND
Good video, but there are quite a few errors.
#6. Lofoten "one of Europes's best kept secrets"? And tourism kept to a minimum?
Hech, most tourists coming to Northern Norway are either going to Lofoten, or North Cape. Or both. Almost no foreigners going to Northern Norway isn't going to at least one of these 2 places.
#7 PreikOstolen. It's Pre(i)kEstolen. The "i" is dependant on dialekts.
#8 Nærøyfjord. You first got it correct, then you ditched the "j" in "fjord" and changed the "ø" to an "o", calling it "Næroyford" (at 10:00).
#9. It's Flåm, not Flam.
#10. "One of Oslo's airports". Oslo have ONE airport - Gardermoen.
Many people also use Torp when they travel to or from Oslo. When Rygge still where in use, Oslo had 3 airports.
@@okklidokkli No. They're in Moss and Sandefjord - it's in their names. Just because people from Oslo use(d) them, doesn't make them Oslo airports.
are there jobs there ?
Too bad you missed the prettiest 1/3 of Norway! The north!
I’m
Saving the north for me
I would love to have watched this video but your voice is not as loud as the music. Please fix this problem. We’re not watching the video for music - we’re watching it to see pictures of Norway. We can listen to music anytime. You have no need for it on this video. Norway can stand by itself. Please do the same.
The fact that u start with Ålesund as the number one place to go shows that you have missed out on a ton of good places. Like kautokeino, bodø, lillehammer, sogndal, dirdal sirdal odal, røros, halden, fredrikstad, hvaler, sandefjord, nøtterøy, florø and so so so many GOOD places. u went to the turist traps..... sadly
Unfortunately most tourists never gets the chance to see the beautiful architecture of this beautiful cities. Alesund is very popular and close to this attractions but they should also go to Lillehammer, Fredrikstad, Kristiansand etc
What’s with the decision of background music while speaking..... oh the drama .......,,,,,!!!...
trondheim is actually the 4th largest city
CANT WATCH IT IN 4K
Sad that they had to kill a wild animal for no reason.
True
I know. That was evil!!
How can you not take tromsø as top 10? It's the City of northern lights. And i just have to say no oslo!! Im from Norway. It's ugly and expensive. Rude People, and high crime. Not Norways best site.
Å sammenligne Oslo med Tromsø er bare dumt.
Bli der du er, så blir jeg her !
🤣
Norwegian names aren't that hard if you just learn the three extra vowels. English speakers use the same sounds. They just don't have those letters for them. For example Nærøyfjord. Æ = usually "a' in English, since most spoken words don't actually use the sound that corresponds to an 'a' in English, but rather the one corresponding to an 'æ.' For example 'astronomy', which in English should be written 'æstronomy'. It's the same sound. Phonetically is is between 'e' and 'a', so just sing to yourself between those letters and you'll find it.
Ø = the diphthong 'ou', like in English 'journey. Bob's your uncle! Just remember to do a phonetic "o" rather than your English version of it, which is 'å', like in 'Bob", which should be written 'Båb', silent 'd', which in Norwegian makes the ''o; longer(Please don't ask, I just live here. No one asked me for input when any this was made up. I used to just assume all this was concocted to torment Norwegian school children.), pronounce the 'r' properly and you will be able to go to Nærøyfjord in style.
Great video! Thanks to the author of the channel for this fascinating video! It is interesting to see how people live in other countries! It is very important to know foreign languages on such trips. I would like to recommend to all travelers a practical guide to learning foreign languages by Yuriy Ivantsiv "Polyglot Notes. Practical tips for learning foreign languages". This book contains a lot of useful tips on how to learn a foreign language for tourists, students, entrepreneurs and anyone who needs a foreign language in life. There are a lot of good tips on how to solve problems with the language from beginner to advanced level of language learning. It turns out that the traveler only needs to know a few dialogues and you can easily travel around the world! You don't have to spend a lot of time to fully learn a foreign language, you just need to learn what you can use when you travel. I wish everyone exciting travels!
