The project in this video will go over the basics of wrapping a trim band onto a rod blank. This same wrapping technique is also used to wrap a line guide onto a rod blank, so this is good practice and an easy project to use to learn the basics of wrapping a fishing rod.
I am using the colored trim bands as an identification marker for several rods that we have that all look almost identical. This just simplifies the process of reassembling the rods correctly without having to figure out which rod section goes to which grip section.
