How does it compare with the milano?

havent tried it in the snow but i have in the winter in California. did just fine.
For the snow i would look at the aspen plus which is the same in a fat tire version.

Batteries lose power more quickly in the cold, but performance is still good.
I would think sub-zero wouldn't be fun much without serious clothing.

Hi great vid, so do you have the larger battery that comes with the Plus and which mode do you ride in echo, normal or power and what is the range you get from a full charged battery riding on flat city roads as I am only getting about 40 miles (65km) in power mode and that is riding using PAS 3 at about 25km/h (16m/hr) also do you let your battery run all the way down before charging. I see on the Leon website they state the following - reach up to 150 km (93 m/hr depending on terrain conditions & power level settings I would love to know how a rider can achieve that distance person would need to be about 50kg - (110 pounds). Cheers Glenn

I love this bike so much. About to hop on for a 2AM Winter joyride. But buyer Beware, in 5'5" tall and pretty skinny and this bike is very cumbersome and hard to deal, with. I'm used to it now and love it but I've had to move the washers on the handlebar stem to above the handlebars instead on under it. And even then it's too tall. I always stand on my tip toes and even if the seat is all the way down, the handlebars still are too high and make you feel upright.
I love the bike so much seriously but I've also sprained by back just twisting around carrying it one day. And I'm very young. Unhealthy yes but just be careful it's not a light gentle bike. It's a heavy beast that takes me everywhere and can conqeuor any terrain! But if you're shorter than me don't get the bike nor if you want a super lightweight option. But those cost tons.
I really really love this bike and it's so easy to use. Very fast but now I want even faster than 20 mph. Good brakes and seriously the acceleration is amazing. When you have a,full battery the front wheel almost wants to come up when you throttle. It gets to full speed really really quickly there's no delay at all. At low battery there's slow down but that's not a quality flaw that's just how batteries work.
Also even when the power is turned off and pedaling no electric it's the most comfortable seat I've ever had a bike. Seriously SOOO comfortable. It's a joy to pedal without the power because of the comfort and larger variety in gears than most eBikes, I used to pedal no electric for long distances often and it was very nice. BUT IT IS not fun for long. If you ever are in an emergency and can't use electric and need to get home normal pedalling this bike will suck miserably at that. Other bikes more expensive ones with middrives are better for that but that's hardly a deciding factor. Youl have the electricity most of the time and it's wonderful on this bike.
Cons are, I hate the display. Not hate but it's boring and the light is very glaring and painful at night time and dangerous if it's turned off. I wish there was some kind of basic simple color display something very small with only 3 buttons. And a big green LED or comfortable sized green led saying speed and press a button to switch it to options menu.....no this bike has a very unpleasent display. But that doesn't change the sheer majesty of this bike.
Another con is that now you have to go on much longer bike rides to further places to actually feel like you biked. Local parks just don't cut it anymore and you will feel a restless desire to go further and further.
Also I really don't ever pedal. I pedal for stability at uneven grounds of paths but I think 75% of the time I don't pedal. Just throttle. Take that for what you will.
The pedal assist settings are pretty useful. They say this is the most value packed eBike in the price range. I've only ridden this one frequently enough to comment, but I tried another friends eBike more expensive and it wasn't as fun.
But what I'm trying to say is, yes I'd buy this bike a hundred times again. But if you have more money to spend and are looking for your first eBike, if you are willing to spend another $1000 more than whatever price you see on NCM Moscow Plus (I have it in black) on your first or second eBike, please buy a less heavier bike. Trust me the weight is the most important attribute for a normal rider like me who just rides the bike to work to parks on long country roads and on the grass at soccer fields, the eBikes weight is the most important thing. This bike doesn't feel anything like riding a normal bicycle with a motor attached. No it feels a motorcycle with adaptability. I've never ridden a real motorcycle but I bet they feel a likewise sort of way. Don't get this bike if you are very serious about the feeling like a normal bike thing.
Let me think of what else....oh it's very heavy to carry up stairs into home but easy to do. It's just gonna get stuck on doors so idk just be prepared get doorjams.
It's got a very sturdy kickstand I love.
    Seat is easy to adjust
I wouldn't change the seat of handlebar. I love mine. Hands get sore maybe once a month but extremely comfortable otherwise. Same goes for Seat.
Throttle is excellent. It's sort of easy to accidentally discharge though when moving the bike. Happened to me thrice. It can hurt you or worse hurt passerbys and slam into the wall by the bike racks or other people's bikes. Be careful with that. But thumb throttle is way safer than grip ones.
The bell it comes with I don't like. Buy the kind of bell that rings 3 times in one press. Their are the only ones that should be used. It's not safe (thumb off the handelbars, thumb is most important for grip) to pull the ring level multiple times when you're in a situation you need to be warning someone twice!
Buy a good strong light. You need a major annoying and painful to look at light for driving on the road. Yes I said driving. You will feel like you're driving most of the time. But if you go in pedal, assist you can ride. But at night time even in the dead of summer you NEED super strong light. You just go way faster and further than a small normal non eBike can suffice with.
Soon however I will be buying artistic colorful LEDs to brighten my bike. It will be cool. Led lights in the wheels for art work etc rainbow colors. And I'm going to buy another ORANGE led front light because the glaring white of the main light is painful on the eyes when doing joyrides at night in the woods or in safe streets. Also it's charming for smoking a joint and riding which is pretty much 40% of why I bought the bike. I can't afford a car to commute so bike is amazing.
You can dress however you want and dress for comfort while riding. It's amazing. And it helps motivate me to explore further as well. I never ever want to commute on a non electric bike again. My head will blow up out of sheer exhaustion! Buy you can practice weekly riding normal if you care about health.
Battery capacity is huge bigger than most bikes. But heavy.
I'll also buy decals saying "Thor" in purple and "Rome" in red, both shiny fonts for the bike. I'll do it eventually I've had the idea since I bought the bike 7 months ago lol
Oh and buy hockey tape to wrap where the handlebar connects to the down stem. You will be holding that area to lift and carry the bike often and it gets cold at night time. Like icey cold to touch. Tape warms it up and adds color.
Also I seriously need to get a mirror. This is REQUIRED on the bike. Seriously please get one. I need to find a good one that fits on mine because the handlebars don't really have much room but it's so so unsafe to keep craning around on this heavy bike going full speed in busy traffic or dangerous roads and check for cars behind you. Tonight I biked home in the winter slippery roads end of February type of miserable cold, and I had to crane back to snap and look behind me for cars so often. I've hurt my back for two days doing this because of idk but it hurt. The bike is heavy remember.
And when you have a hood and fluffy winter hat on it makes it even harder to see. Get a mirror trust me it's the second most important thing on this list.
Whenever you ride far to adventure make sure you have enough money for cab home and cellphone to call one with. Trust me shit can happen and you don't want to push this it sucks and is very hard.
I've got 3 flats already. 1 because if glass but 2 because the rear got punctured going up curbs and out of potholes. Do not do a front jump with the front wheels at High speed to go up curbs trust me. Even at slow speeds it's risky. The bike rear wheels just have a tendency to pop going up curbs. It happened to me twice so I'm confident making that claim. Thinner tires on a normal bike never had that problem for me. I learned my lesson, and the ebike store says that the bike doesn't support the cement tire things or liquid spill proof tires things. So it's a risk. High inflation means rigid tires which make the bike feel heavier and handle poorly on dirt and mud and slippery surfaces but makes it go more stable and fast on cement and roads. Too low air pressure and you have a ridiculously comfortable experience but that's how I got all 3 of my punctures.
So be careful. Take a patch kit with you but I'm a bike noob idk how to do that and the rear wheel is hard to do at home anyways. Even harder on trail. So keep that in mind. I will eventually learn how to do it with this bike but if you're like me then it's a risk we take each minute we don't have the skills and tools on the bike ready to go. I should reakly learn.....
In short yeah but this bike it's amazing and its like growing a pair of wings. Just know what you're getting into.
I highly recommend you sit and try a ebike first before buying one because I am literally the bare minimum height to ride this and the website says I should be fine. Absolutely not.
I can answer any questions you guys have about this bike, I check UA-cam often.
However I'm glad I bought this online and not from my local eBike store. They were predator and misleading. If I listened to the "experts" I'd have a shitfy overpriced bike. But I bought online which was a little nerve wracking and got this amazing deal of a bike.

@@fee1687 it's absolutely amazing dude. Feel free to ask me all of your questions and I'll get back to you soon. I'm about to go on a bike ride now in 10 minutes hahaha. It's made my life so much better. I've never used a middrive and I heard they are more fun and feel more like a normal bike but honestly until this bike blows up on me I have no desire to even try another ebike becusade I'm just so in love with this one. I've written lots of comments I can copy paste but just ask me your questions and I'll reply honestly. This was the best investment I've ever made but I've never rode another ebike for more than 2 minutes at the bike store in my shop so maybe I don't know what I'm missing with other bikes. I say buy this one and you'll be pleased. If you can afford more, the single most important criteria is the weight. Nothing beats the weight of the bike because the weight is what determines your comfort and if it will feel like a motorcycle hybrid. This bike feels like a motor cycle, even when the powers off. Buy a middrive if you want to ride a bike with a motor attached I feel. But I have no desire to because this bike is a million times more fun than mid drives according to what ppl say. Just ask me your questions I'm a man of passion and this bike is my passion. I got so depressed when I had a flat tire for 5 days a few weeks ago. Since I wrote my first comment I've probably only gone on 10 walks the entire year. I'm outside almost daily now just biking, I don't go on lesiure walks anymore hah

@@fee1687 you've got to take care of the battery and charge it the way they specify. I didn't and now have reduced range and cost $500 to replace but I think it's a worthwhile investment for 13 months of owning it. Other than flat tires when you hit small pot holes when you have reduced air pressure (consequence of having a heavy bike, more prone to flats with low tire pressure) I have had zero zero problems. I seriously neglect mainting my bike sadly and it still rides amazing, I haven't even had the brakes ever looked at and just two weeks ago, after 13cmonths of non stop use, have the hydraulic breaks started to make funky noises and be less effective. This is a maintenance free bike and if you do maintain it properly you'll never have problems. Plus it's very good at being water proof just don't leave it stored outside, winter storm riding and rainstorm tsunami riding is no problem. Make sure you lock it safely and have more than one lock. One thick one and one cable one just to be safe.

Mine is holding up quite great actually, just the minimal tightening of sporks and maybe break pad changing.
but all in all its great. The battery lasts me about 3-4 hours if youre conservative on the battery and are also mixing in just pedaling id say yeah easy 50 miles. going on assisted mid speeds to high id say youd get 25-35 miles depending on the climb heights like hills and such. and going full speed all out electric only no pedal would be like 18-20 miles. hopefully that helps, just take care of them, and its possibly not for the everyday commuter rider, or atlleast im not sure because I am more of a weekend rider.

    • @ArtistaEntertainment
      @ArtistaEntertainment  4 роки тому +3

Its a basic review I didnt go too in depth, I do love the bike and here is my take:
Riding Comfort: 7/10 (the seat is a bit uncomfortable at times, no back suspension sometimes is noticable)
Handling: 8.5/10 ( Handling on street is amazing, and handling on trail is also great but not for downhill use)
Climbing ability: 9/10 (electrically with the hub motor you can get up most trail hills, you'll have to pedal assist on steeper hills)
Braking: 9/10 ( Breaking is hydraulic disk brakes so they are solid, also the shimano pads are great for starting, if you are a seasoned rider you can opt for better pads.)
Battery usage 10/10 ( this battery is labeled 48 volts but actually on full charge goes up to 53.2 Volts for me it has taken me 35 miles on and off pedal assist, the power lasts all the way until the last bar, and on higher volts the quickness is great. Without pedaling you can go about 15-20 miles depending on your trek.)
Let me know if that helped at all!

This is one the worst bikes I’ve ever bought. My rear wheel started breaking apart after 1 month and I’ve had two major rear break failures. A fucking screw came loose - TWICE. Imagine traveling 40km/h and one your brakes stops working.
German engineering? That means nothing. The bike is made in China. You are buying a very cheap bike for almost the price of $3,000. I regret my purchase. I hate the company that sold the bike to me because they lied to me about shipping my warranty parts and I encourage everyone to boycott NCM products for the sake of your wallet and your life. And if you use the bike to travel around a city for work - then there is no warranty at all.

ive ridden this bike through a mud trail during rain. I would say the stock tires aren’t the best for traction but its also not meant for water. its also electric so i would assume that is correct.

I learned my lesson, and the ebike store says that the bike doesn't support the

bike doesn't support the cement tire things or liquid spill proof tires things.
The website wasn't reliable with the info but only the height was the problem. Again im 5'5" and the website says should be good for down to 5'4" but it's too high for me as is.
I can answer any questions you guys have about this bike, I check UA-cam often.
However I'm glad I bought this online and not from my local eBike store. They were predator and misleading. If I listened to the "experts" I'd have a shitty overpriced bike. But I bought online which was a little nerve wracking and got this amazing deal of a bike.
Also I wouldn't commute to work with this unless I can park it inside. Which my job let's me. But if a job didn't I absolutely would not feel safe leaving this bike outside. I've got dirty looks by greedy people just riding this in public. It's a target so be careful. I don't even like leaving it outside for grocery shopping. I minimize it as much as possible. It's very different to a normal bike. Be careful with this one.
I really recommend wearing riding gloves with this. I don't wear a helmet. I should and might start again but as of now I don't. But I wish I wore gloves because I've got permanent scars on my hands and potentially a permenant pain in my thumb because of falls from this bike. Be careful! Gloves keep you safer. And carry bandages with to hand seriously stick two plastic gloves in with the medicine. You'll hate trying to get home with bloody hands and bandages slipping off and having to ask for help or more bandages with bloody hands. The gloves will keep the bandages in place for you to get home and sort it out. And keep your gripping power of your hands in tact. Seriously put disposable plastic "surgeons" or clear type gloves with the bandages you carry on this bike.
You should buy a bluetooth speaker if you don't already own one. If you find a small one you can put it inside a small mesh bag and hang that from your handlebars for best sound.
Your house and hallways in the apartment will get very dirty and muddy when you drag the bike inside. Especially in the winter kf rain or dirty days. Be ready to clean up its resting area often.

With proper battery management and easy going full throttle riding I normal get around 55 miles a,charge. Normally riding with zero attempt at battery preservation the most range I've gotten until the battery completely died was 66 miles. But do not rely on that. Count it as 50 miles and save that extra 16 to get back home. But charge it properly as per manual not when ever you please.

hi thanks for the insight, appreciate that. but how many hours would you say it takes you to finish one full charge? you said about 50 miles, how many hours would you say it would be if you use the battery non stop? thanks

@@dejenteamehayilamariyam7084 Using the battery non stop you can probably ride for about 4 hours a day for 2 days. However, the thrust speed is higher when then battery is full, and when the battery is low it doesn't actually get up to the full 32kmh and can only get up to around 28kmh. But yes if you were to fully use electrical power only I feel very confident saying you could ride for an uninterrupted 6 to 8 hours. But distance is a much better measurement because riding hours can alter over alot of stuff but distance ridden is usually the same path to work back and forth etc.
However it is VERY important that you don't let the battery drain out fully. Idk if my initial comments mentioned that, but that's the biggest reason my battery is messed up now, I let it drain fully multiple times. You NEVER want to do that, regardless of what you read online, don't even do it once.
Always charge the battery before there's 10% left and *never* let it drain out and die fully.
Also another problem I've had twice recently is my throttle breaking and jamming in the thrust forward position which is incredibly dangerous. I've had to unplug it. Idk if other bikes have this problem but I doubt it's isolated to this model alone. I would recommend buying a replacement throttle *before* you need one and having it as a backup so if yours breaks then you don't need to wait a few weeks for one in the mail again before you can use your eBike as a motorcycle. Because you totally can use this bike as a motorcycle and that's the only way I like to ride it, only pedalling for fun about 20% of my trip. When the throttle breaks the spring inside that keeps it turned off unless you press it ON breaks, and it flops down and stays on by itself. So I had to unplug it from the main connection to the display very easy, and then only use the pedal assist. It happened twice and I'm not sure what causes it because I used it for an entire year going hard on the throttle using it like a motorcycle and it took a whole year to break, which is fair, but then the replacement broke in just 1 month, but it broke after I crashed and slipped on some wet surfaces so I think that's related to it. But still keep that in mind I highlllllly recommended having one before you need it. You probably have to buy it by calling the NCM dealers or Leon's Cycles guys, as it's no longer on the website but still possible to buy repalcments by calling them.
