thank you for teaching us how to make a bad situation good...I was a server for many years and mistakes happen, and I always made sure to go to the table at least twice...I would refill their water glasses and make small talk...if I noticed food not eaten I would ask if everything was alright...I wanted people to give me a chance to correct any shortcomings ..tell me ... not your friends and neighbours ....
Rich you are a gentleman, honestly, what a gentle soul. I am glad they insisted on replacing them. Where I live they will shrug and say I am sorry you did not like it. Your first ribs served were dried out. The salad looked delicious. Wow, you have a variety of restaurants for sure. I hope your channel grows.

That was a great video. Salad looked delish. And that bread looked divine. I also, am a fan of ridge wallets. I have purchased many for gifts and everyone has loved them. They are not cheap, but I believe they are worth the money and they last forever.

The bread basket looked wonderful. I typically like cold crisp pickles on the side. I don't even like them when they get warm from the burger, so I suspect I would not like fried pickles. It also goes a long way when a customer doesn’t “throw a fit” and act like a horse’s behind when something isn’t right. I think businesses are more willing to rectify the situation. Enjoyed the video. Haven't been there. Had Preachers last week and the ribs were good. Had the same problem with the wallet and started using Skinny brand wallets. Often, I'm driving and have to check to make sure it is in my back pocket it is so comfortable.
Glad Rich sent back his ribs and the second batch was good. It's always dissapointing when you pay a lot for food and it's not good. Ya'll are still in the honeymoon stage. My hubby and I got married right out of highschool back in 1983 and celebrated our 41st anniversary this year in Pigeon Forge. We had to cut it short because of Milton and the high winds that where expected.
The bread basket was to generous and Jen's salad was the most amazing salad ever. But I was shocked when you showed the first ribs. You could tell they were thin with little meat or fat and way overcooked/burned. So was glad you got the chance to try some good ones. Rich is such a gentleman, never wanting to complain. But they advertise they're ribs as the best for G's sake. How could they send something like that out of the kitchen. That turned out to be an excellent meal. Love your Dooney bag too Jen.

I had the same problem as Rich with my wallet. I have been carrying my cards and IDs in a leather pouch for five years or so. My wife always tells me to get a new wallet, because that pouch is not working for you. Awesome video. Thumbs up, guys.

I never fault a business for making a mistake, (as long as it's not a habit). It's how they deal with the mistake that I judge them on. It sounds like the staff at Calhoun's treated you courteously and professionally and I would visit them just based on that.
In general with a couple of exceptions we haven’t found rids in the south to be very good. The 2 exceptions are Southern Soul on St Simons Island Ga and Woodpeckers in St Johns FL. Chain restaurants generally miss the mark.
I just ordered the sleaves that you can put your credit card or debit card so no one could scan them. They are suppose to be delievered here tomorrow. I have heard of people using a scanner and getting your money from your checking account. I live on social security and don't want to take any chances. Today is Christmas Day and I am having my dinner tomorrow. I hope you and your family have had a blessed and Merry Christmas.

I would if returned them.) we had this customer who would eat 3/4 of his entree then say there’s a hair or something wrong and with the customer the boss they were right and we gave them another piece of fish. After it happening a few times the manager put a stop to it, they were getting free food.

They were probably embarrassed that those ribs were even served to you. Even the fries looked better the 2nd time. That salad was amazing. Yes, for sure the price you have to pay for food these days you should tell them when it's not up to par.
It is definitely important to let a restaurant know if something is wrong! Rich didn’t want to but the meal was like 22.00 and that’s a lot for something you can’t eat, they were amazing and replaced it with those delicious ones. So he was glad he said something! But it is hard to do.
Keep in mind the server is not who plated that food. I once had to send a steak back at Outback. I ordered mine medium rare, and it was medium well at the best. When I go to a steakhouse I do have some expectation. And I don't go very often, usually for a special occasion. They did bring me a new steak, and it was cooked perfectly.
I'm glad they did the right thing and replaced the ribs and did not charge for the meal, but it's a shame that somebody in the kitchen felt it was okay to serve you lunch's leftovers.
Jen, do you have a good recipe for fried pickles. I would like to find a good one for Thanksgiving weekend company. If you have one, would you consider doing a demonstration? I love all your videos. The only thing I’m not crazy about is your ending, Bye. That one word just sounds fony. I guess I like the bye, just not how you’re saying it. But, other than that, I LOVE EVERYTHING YOU BOTH DO. I appreciate that. I’ve tried a couple different recipes but they just aren’t as good as a restaurant makes. I am going to try a recipe that also adds cornmeal to the dry dredge, but, I’m definitely open for suggestions. 💖
We have a video of buddies and it is one of our favorite places. I would actually say it is my favorite place for barbecue next to Rich’s in the whole Sevierville, Pigeon Forge area.

I once had to send a steak back at Outback. I ordered mine medium rare, and it was medium well at the best. When I go to a steakhouse I do have some expectation. And I don't go very often, usually for a special occasion. They did bring me a new steak, and it was cooked perfectly.
It is a little frustrating when a restaurant gets it wrong but glad they made it right!
I'm glad they did the right thing and replaced the ribs and did not charge for the meal, but it's a shame that somebody in the kitchen felt it was okay to serve you lunch's leftovers.
We were shocked it was not fresh, but they were very accommodating and made it right! That made us happy!
Jen, do you have a good recipe for fried pickles. I would like to find a good one for Thanksgiving weekend company. If you have one, would you consider doing a demonstration? I love all your videos. I appreciate that. I’ve tried a couple different recipes but they just aren’t as good as a restaurant makes. I am going to try a recipe that also adds cornmeal to the dry dredge, but, I’m definitely open for suggestions. 💖
