After approx 7 hours of gameplay u would think that he hade learned to look up strenght/weaknesses but not once up untill this point has he ever looked at it.

Maybe he was just a regular enemy that you killed no even a captian and he was like I'm gonna train super hard and now he's a legendary spear and shield dude sometimes people are just that dedicated though I wanted so see maku or that one guy who is really funny
Disappointed you didn't get Olrok the Large, thats the one I remember the most from your SoM let's play. No idea why you go this no one instead. Angry Joe at least got his actual Nemesis :P
Jesse I love you but you might wanna clean your glasses so you can read the giant text that appears saying "ADAPTED!" as you try to jump over a guy or read which button it wants you to press for a QTE.
the only way that you can fight the sheild guys is to jump over them or shoot them. there are moves you get later that help you get around them in other ways but in jesse's position he had no other options. the ork he was fighting could regen hp and he couldn't arrow him to death. Once that orc adapted to dodges jessie was gonna lose. if you are talking about the troll... sure they grab you when you try to jump over them but the grab deals no damage. so if you want to cancel the trolls attack or you cant get outa the way just jump at the troll and get thrown for no damage... also the trolls stop and think after they throw you and give you time to beat on them. so actually abusing that troll throw is maybe the best way to fight them
"Reading is for suckers." Clearly, based on the (I think it was at CoxCon) Scary Game Squad con show Jesse put up, Gerard (pretty sure that was the one getting up and reading the text) would disagree. :P
Don't tap A to jump...just hold A down & he will climb automatically.. Only tap A to dodge during an incoming attack. You will need to do some vendetta missions for requirements of legendary gear and they actually are a good way to get good gear.
if you have a prievious game save or nemesis forge nemesis you get that guy, if you don't have any of these you just get a random orc branded as your nemesis

It's so cringey watching Jesse kill orcs which clearly just keep respawning unless you kill the captain, and doing the same attack when he's adapted and it clearly said he's adapted about 20 times

While Let's Play or similar terms are more fitting, a walkthrough is a term normally used for guides or similar information focused content. While these videos can be used to gain some (very little) info, their main focus lies on entertainment.

Now imagine that adapted shit being on EVERY captain you can fight. That's the daily hell of Nemesis mode. Now imagine a savage classed Orc with a self healing skill, no conceivable weakness and adaptation. True hell.
Note that it is not always the most powerful nemesis. I got the first warchief I killed from Mordor not my biggest nemesis. Jesse got an Uruk that showed up like once in episode 17
As an answer to who Ushbaka is, I believe that if you don't have a current living nemesis it brings out a legendary orc, who implies he is back from Shadow of Mordor with the line "Last time I roughed you up was in Udun, yeah?" So he's probably not anybody, just the game covering a scenario where you don't have a nemesis
Jesse seriously as I commented on previous video, use the 'summon followers' more, it will be very useful for you, you get a few and can even order deaths of several enemies. The drake as they called it, well the design is more like to movie Smaug, though much much smaller and weaker. Still even Tolkien hints that his dragons have four legs and wings. Anyway the drakes in-game are feral and attack everything on sight. The moonstone was interesting, in Tolkien's lore there's a case of swords forged fro meteoritic iron Anglachel and Anguirel, forged by Eól the Dark Elf. The crown artifact, huh it seems not all are as lore accurate as I previously thought. Of course Earnur challenged Witch-king during war with Angmar, but he wasn't king then, just son and heir of king Earnil II (but before going out to meet him second time, he did leave the crown on his father's tomb in Minas Tirith, but in lore this was of course in the time when Minas Ithil already fell and was turned into Minas Morgul). Interesting idea with the traitor, though in lore it's implied to be the case for entirely different fortress...Cirith Ungol: "In that dreadful light Sam stood aghast, for now, looking to his left, he could see the Tower of Cirith Ungol in all its strength. The horn that he had seen from the other side was only its topmost turret. Also those little tiny things are Shelob's children, oh my I prefer true giant spiders, like those of Mirkwood, shame they didn't put them in as creatures to fight, also it's a shame they didn't put the Silent Watchers in Cirith Ungol, they were enchanted statues that powered up a magical barrier preventing entrance to the fortress, with all sorts of wild stuff this could have been amazing to encounter, it's actually lore friendly too haha. It would add some protection measures and difficulty in taking fortresses if you'd have to deal with magical stuff to even enter hehe.

It is. The final warrior in the Arena is always from Shadow of Mordor if you played it and didn't delete the saves. You can select a guy in specific with the Nemesis Forge or it gets picked from your last nemesis/stronger captains in shadow of mordor.
You really ought to bump up the difficulty, outside of that one death to Ushbaka (which didn't even count since it was a fail-state that didn't involve the nemesis system) can you even remember the last time an orc actually killed you? The nemesis system really only shines when you actually get killed every now and then.
Gotta love how Jesse starts a quest "Stop the orc before he kills the caragor"... and then proceeds to kill the caragor for the orc. pfft! Does Jesse ever actually read quest text/directions?
Dunno if it's any different in this game, but in the first one it was almost always better to "win" those kinds of quests for your target and then murder them afterwards before they could get away.

Its an Orc you had a lot of encounters with in shadow of mordor, i never had an orc that killed me in som, so i got a random orc i had just fought. But ive had friends who got killed by an orc in som about 10 times, and he came back in that fight.
The only 'good guy' in this game is Talion. Both Celebrimbor & Shelob are bad in their own ways, only out for themselves. Will be interesting to see Jesse's reactions when he find out :)

Never. There is nothing repetative about slaying dozens of orcs in gruesome displays of maiming that ever loses its luster. Though the ability for captains to pull a jesus does get a little tedious.
i know jesse's online persona is an inept gamer, but as i continue to watch this playthrough, i cant help but think that the controls are actually what seems to be hampering jesse's skill
Sinswhisper it honestly seems to be a bit of both, jessie is missing some basic prompts and mechanical gimmies but there are some issues with Talion's priorities in occasion

I Believe Ushbaka was your nemesis from the 1st Shadow game that took place in Udun, I fought someone I recognized at this boss fight, so I think that's what they went for with this ^^

i think that mission takes into account your SoM save files. and th e orc that killed you the most in that save or during a time frame is generated. not 100% sure but i never finished SoM and i vaugley remeber my nemisis's name from SoM...at leaSt i think i do.
Why would someone you easily killed have the endurance to survive death? That make no sense >_> Having the ones who gave you the hardest time survive by the skin of their teeth is perfectly logical >_>
Perfectly logical yes, but annoying to play against. So your basically populating the game with things you dislike fighting. Either their always running away, or always blocking in Jessie's case. So a good idea, bad in carry out. He's not challenged, he's annoyed.
I'm so disappointed in myself that I didn't watch this earlier! This must be the funniest footage of Shadows of War ever made! The fight against Ushbaka the Never Seen Nemesis and your reaction to it is the most hilarious shit I have seen in a long time! :D Sometimes this game can be frustrating af - but the more satisfying it becomes when you finally defeat this artificial difficulty.
Anyone else who has played this game think the controls are more jank than the previous game. I was getting so annoyed during some of the side quests cos my character literally was doing shit that I wasnt even telling him to do, and don';t get me started on that Spirit Strike side quest xD
I'm having a lot more difficulty getting around than I remember in the first one. The controls are fine though the sprint/roll/jump thing is a bit screwy. Talion kind of just does what he wants and it's totally random. Sometimes he'll just limply drop off the ledge even if I'm holding the button, sometimes he'll automatically do the second jump even if I'm still only holding the button, other times he'll jump halfway across the map missing any ledges or cable things I was trying to jump onto landing on someones head instead completely ruining my stealth approach. I experienced this countless times on the same ledges trying to do the shadow strike challenge thing. Also quite often when I'm trying to get onto a ledge or through a window he will just do everything he can to go around it or past it for literally no reason. He also gets caught on so many ledges or trapped on boxes. He also sometimes repeatedly tries to acrobatics over the same guys head when I'm doing everything I can to try and go the opposite direction.
Didn't know what moonstone was, looked it up, according to Wikipedia it's the official stone of Florida, then it says how it's used in Pokemon, yup, sounds like Florida.
Jesse's skill at starting EVERY outpost mission by shooting indiscriminate arrows and setting off the alarm is...impressive

If you're referring to climbing buildings, tapping A constantly actually gives you a boost and makes you climb faster. Holding A is the slow climb.
i'm referring to when he comes up against a wall or side of building and starts dodge rolling in front of it
I love how Jesse completely forgot about the orc that kept coming back and tormenting him and relearned to hate him.
I've never seen so many enemies just waiting around while you try to drain someone, those are the most polite orcs you can imagine that Jesse faces.

Also those little tiny things are Shelob's children, oh my I prefer true giant spiders, like those of Mirkwood, shame they didn't put them in as creatures to fight, also it's a shame they didn't put the Silent Watchers in Cirith Ungol, they were enchanted statues that powered up a magical barrier preventing entrance to the fortress, with all sorts of wild stuff this could have been amazing to encounter, it's actually lore friendly too haha. It would add some protection measures and difficulty in taking fortresses if you'd have to deal with magical stuff to even enter hehe.
When i played i renamed everything that was on my team, like beasts and orcs. (No you can not physically rename them, it was just a thing i did to myself.)

It is. The final warrior in the Arena is always from Shadow of Mordor if you played it and didn't delete the saves. You can select a guy in specific with the Nemesis Forge or it gets picked from your last nemesis/stronger captains in shadow of mordor.

You really ought to bump up the difficulty, outside of that one death to Ushbaka (which didn't even count since it was a fail-state that didn't involve the nemesis system) can you even remember the last time an orc actually killed you? The nemesis system really only shines when you actually get killed every now and then.

Dunno if it's any different in this game, but in the first one it was almost always better to "win" those kinds of quests for your target and then murder them afterwards before they could get away.

Its an Orc you had a lot of encounters with in shadow of mordor, i never had an orc that killed me in som, so i got a random orc i had just fought. But ive had friends who got killed by an orc in som about 10 times, and he came back in that fight.
Will some for the love of god, PLEASE tell Jessie that A is a hold for climbing.
The only 'good guy' in this game is Talion. Both Celebrimbor & Shelob are bad in their own ways, only out for themselves. Will be interesting to see Jesse's reactions when he find out :)

Never. There is nothing repetative about slaying dozens of orcs in gruesome displays of maiming that ever loses its luster. Though the ability for captains to pull a jesus does get a little tedious.

I Believe Ushbaka was your nemesis from the 1st Shadow game that took place in Udun, I fought someone I recognized at this boss fight, so I think that's what they went for with this ^^

So Jesse's worst enemy has vault breaker and can also regain hp. So a fair fight.
i think that mission takes into account your SoM save files. and th e orc that killed you the most in that save or during a time frame is generated. not 100% sure but i never finished SoM and i vaugley remeber my nemisis's name from SoM...at leaSt i think i do.

One of the problems of the nemesis system. It basically just keeps bringing back guys with the style you hate fighting. Less fun, more aggravating.
Why would someone you easily killed have the endurance to survive death? That make no sense >_> Having the ones who gave you the hardest time survive by the skin of their teeth is perfectly logical >_>
Perfectly logical yes, but annoying to play against. So your basically populating the game with things you dislike fighting. Either their always running away, or always blocking in Jessie's case. So a good idea, bad in carry out. He's not challenged, he's annoyed.

Sometimes this game can be frustrating af - but the more satisfying it becomes when you finally defeat this artificial difficulty.
Anyone else who has played this game think the controls are more jank than the previous game. I was getting so annoyed during some of the side quests cos my character literally was doing shit that I wasnt even telling him to do, and don';t get me started on that Spirit Strike side quest xD
I'm having a lot more difficulty getting around than I remember in the first one. The controls are fine though the sprint/roll/jump thing is a bit screwy. Talion kind of just does what he wants and it's totally random. Sometimes he'll just limply drop off the ledge even if I'm holding the button, sometimes he'll automatically do the second jump even if I'm still only holding the button, other times he'll jump halfway across the map missing any ledges or cable things I was trying to jump onto landing on someones head instead completely ruining my stealth approach. I experienced this countless times on the same ledges trying to do the shadow strike challenge thing. Also quite often when I'm trying to get onto a ledge or through a window he will just do everything he can to go around it or past it for literally no reason. He also gets caught on so many ledges or trapped on boxes.
He also sometimes repeatedly tries to acrobatics over the same guys head when I'm doing everything I can to try and go the opposite direction.
Yup. Running/jumping up poles when I run too close past one. Rolling on ledges (against a wall of air) instead of jumping off of them..
