Health care reform explained in "Health Reform Hits Main Street."
Confused about how the new health care reform law really works? This short, animated movie -- featuring the "YouToons" -- explains the problems with the current health care system, the changes that are happening now, and the big changes coming in 2014. Written and produced by the Kaiser Family Foundation. Narrated by Cokie Roberts, a news commentator for ABC News and NPR and a member of Kaiser's Board of Trustees. Creative production and animation by Free Range Studios.
Also let the YouToons illustrate how health insurance coverage will work under reform. Visit: healthreform.kff.org/profiles....

This is an excellent video. Non-partisan, informative, and enjoyable to watch. I learned more in the 10 minutes I spent watching this than I have in the last 18 months listening to the partisan pundits on TV "telling" me what's in the new law. Great job, Kaiser!

So I went over to market place checked my options. They want me to pay $150/mon and $6000 deductible/year before my insurance would even pay a single dollar. How the Hell does this thing make any sense to anyone??? In other words unless I pay $300/month for Top insurance plans I can't see a doctor.

Great, simple explanation. Well done Kaiser. It is nice to hear un-bias opinion, no matter which side of the debate you are on.
It was always noted that we (government include) are not completely sure how the reform will exactly work. It is AMAZING to FINALLY hear someone admit this. There are experimental additions and the entire act is implemented in phases which gives time for adjusments along the way. This was recently seen in the recent delay of payment cuts for physicians.

Watching this is funny. Because none of this (or very little) happened.

This video was made by Kaiser, a giant insurance company. What we really need is universal healthcare.

Just signed up. I have a better policy (no deductible) and I'm paying $70.00 less per month with the very same insurance company I was using previously. I guess they are forced to compete now. This is WITHOUT any subsidy.

Thank you very much, Christine. That's very good news. Indiana has something called the "Healthy Indiana Plan," and I'll be exploring their web site soon.
