My most common "should" statement in my professional life is "I should already know how to do this start to finish. I should be able to just crank out complete projects. I should stop wasting time!" even when I'm learning new skills or am just at the beginning of the planning stages and feeling things out. The Donothingism chapter in "Feeling Good" really helped me, tho. I have the audio book and just listen to it over and over again, and every time I do, I start to get more work done. I expect that will snowball into some very productive work at some point. I created a Daily Record of Dysfunctional Thoughts spreadsheet, too, that I use to work through my automatic thoughts when they crop up. As days go by, I have fewer and fewer to work though, and/or I'm able to do it so fast in my head, it's over before I even get to my computer. :) Thank you!!
