I am about to go there as a tourist for less than 6 months by renewing my visa at the federal police in Rio, and as a bodybuilder and vegetarian, I plan to have a bunch of herbal powders with me for my daily nutritional routine from antioxidants, amino acids, mushrooms, vitamins, minerals, greens, fruits extracts...again all powder, nothing illegal , and I don't know how it will go with the customs. I even have a referral letter from my doctor he is stating that I am a vegetarian and consume these natural supplements for my daily eating habits. Any input?
As long as it's not drugs, you should be fine by putting it in your check in bag. I always type in "Entry Requirements (Country)" in Google before I go somewhere and see what their government website says.

Do you pick up your suitcase somewhere? Right off the plane? Do you take it on the plane with you? How long does it take? How does that work? Please explain!
I rarely do check in bags, just backpack and carry-on suitcase but I did see passengers lining up at baggage claim for their bags. Looked to be pretty normal timing. This was around midnight so not many people at the airport.

@@oakvisuals2731 there are instructions like the blue panels you see in the video or the lines on the ground , but when you exit the plane you can only go to transit area or immigration and customs check then baggage claim
What an ugly airport for a big city such as Rio. The ceiling is missing several panels. It’s like you are in a basement.
What does immigration ask? What do you need? How is it in covid?
