My parents stripped furniture all the time. I forget what brand they used but it was sure strong. I remember the smell of it and burnt umber, along with linseed oil and orange oil. My dad could make exact reproduction colonial furniture and match original stains. I'm not sure if they sell this type in Canada but I always use Aircraft Ultra paint remover. Mostly for cars, but it should work on wood as well. It pretty pricey, though. I pay about 36.00 a gallon.
What a great job you made of that dresser. It looks fab! And why do people sell gold and silver jewellery for pennies? Don’t they realise how much precious metals sell for? You lucked out! Well done!❤️
The dresser looks almost exactly like my father in laws, the handles on his were different. I think maybe his were bakelite. He had the whole bedroom set. We had no need for it when he passed so we gave it to my brother in law. He loved it.
We park where we think the truck will easily fit and won't b in the way if we can, plus we're still young enough to walk. Also, it's not as far as it looks on video.
