  • Hit Tiger -- found in the section 2 of the Yang tai chi long form. Often portrayed with large sweeping arm rotations. The movements in the form were exaggerated (large frame) but originally had a shorter frame as depicted here. More in line with the application.

    Cool video! This move reminds me of osoto Gari in judo, but here it's done in a LvL stance with a lapel and belt grip.

    Cool! Does it have a no gi version by any chance? And if so, how much would it change on technique, set up and efectiveness? Great video!

      There is a way to do this no gi, yes. It's practical and effective. However, if you see this move done in the taiji form, the sweeping movement prior to the execution would go away. It would have a different setup. End posture though, would like up though. Next week, we start dealing with some of the no gi applications! 👍
